  • nice sound affects

  • Super

  • thumps up so everyone can see- guys we all have diffrent forms..old forms..new forms...diffrent masters...diffrent schools...its hard to find triditional tae kwon do or any martial art because of everyone trying to get money off it... BTW GUYS GUESS WHAT THE OFFICIAL BELT WAS?...no belt at all.. this is diffrent from my school cause when i was yellow i was taught ki-bon-duel which was my yellow belt form..so everyone try to chill and enjoy WTF if u know what that even is..and be the bestUCANbe<-

  • the official belts are white, low-yellow, high-yellow, low-blue, high-blue, low-red, high-red, low-brown, high-brown and for people below 15 yrs old junior black

for people ages 15 above black

  • yesterday i was at an olympic seminar in the netherlands and there were even kids with purple belts.

but who cares about belts its only a way to show the journey in training this person has been through.

  • does it really matter what order the belts come in???

  • We have white, yellow, orange, orange high, green, green high, blue, blue high, brown, brown/red, red, red/black, black

  • A se fameux poomsé c'est celui que j'aime le moins

  • thanks, it helps a lot :D

  • saol :D thankss

  • Belt color is less important than the actual belt ranking. Many schools will use various color belts to signify the ranking. Ranking begins at the 10th Gup and proceeds to 1st Gup - at total of ten levels with different belt colors. The next step is 1st Dan (Blackbelt) and ranking all the way to 9th Dan or Grand Master.

  • The differences in the belt systems between schools is interesting.

I also wondered, do your schools just teach competition/sports stuff or the actual martial art and defence.

My school just teaches the Olympic style but I'm also looking to see how I can apply it as a martial art and combine it with the other stuff I do.

  • There should be eight major levels before black belt. The belt levels indicate knowledge. Knowledge plus skill is ability. The purpose of forms is for balance and consolidation of concepts about strikes stances and blocks etc.

  • I studied in korea and tested for my black belt there at the capitol. Our belt order went white, yellow, orange, green, blue, purple, brown, red (for a year), red black (if you were under 15), 1st degree black.

  • My club is complete different. It goes like this: White, White with yellow stripe, Yellow, Orange, Green, Blue, Blue with red stripe, Red, Red with 1 black stripe, Red with 2 black stripes, Red with 3 black stripes and black ;)

  • ty i have a taekwondo demostration :)

  • for me its white, yellow tip, yellow belt, orange tip, orange belt, green tip, green belt, purple tip, purple belt, blue tip, blue belt, brown tip, brown belt, red tip, red belt, black stripe, second black stripe, third black stripe and the however many more stripes it takes you to get black then 1st dan 2nd dan and so on. but the master in korea changed cause the australian guy made it so people had to pay loads.

  • what is the use of kata?

  • this is esay

  • i kno this pattern and im only yellow belt

  • ... and the only general name Tae Kwon Do is left to describe Korean Martial Arts with certain basic things in common but the different schools/styles/kwans are becoming more important again.

  • ... but evolving as a whole. The WTF kept unified in the sport version and basic forms (usually quite closed to Kukkiwon) but in the pure martial art part we can still see different schools (for example Chung Do Kwan style incorporates Hap Ki Do in the "personal defense" curricula -some schools more than others- and Hap Ki Do incorporates TKD in theirs). Other WTF schools teach just the TKD sport. Sometimes it feels like the separation in schools is happening again and only the general name Tae

  • It's incredible the differences in color belt between the schools. When TKD was "created" (first under the name Tung Soo Do then Tae Kwon Do) there where different schools with some style variations but the unification was good with exception of one school that separated and decided to use the name Tang Soo Do. Then there was another separation and the ITF (chan hum or o'dan style under the TKD founder -Gral. Choi-) and the WTF. The WTF went more sport and the ITF more "traditional" but evolvin

  • i have to lern this today -_-

  • how is this guy a black belt. his form shows no passion or even follows the rules of how the knees should be bent. he's just walking around with some guy in the backround making popping noises for him.

  • his stance is too high to make that kind of power. they making a snapping noice in the backround because i've been taught old school and know that the "uniform" is supposed to pop when performed properly. thanx for the vid tho. much appreciated

  • My school we have belts liike this: White White Yellow Stribe Yellow Stribe Yellow Green Stribe Green Stribe Green Blue Stribe Blue Stribe Blue Red Stribe Red Stribe Red Black Stribe Black Stribe Black Stribe 1,2,3... DAN
  • @marciofreerunning What's a stribe?

  • @marciofreerunning no brown belt?

  • mine is white yellow orange green blue purple purple black stripe red red black stripe brown brown black stripe semi black (red/black) and then 1st degree black belt
  • mine goes White White yellow stribe Yellow Orange Green Blue Blue red stribe Red Red 1 black Red 2 black Red 3 black Black
  • and starting with second green, we have to do both Taeguk AND Palgwe forms in order to pass for the next belt. I'm nervous but im only an orange belt or 6th Kup, so I dont hafta worry bout it yet ;D

  • my dojang is white, white with black tape on end, yellow, purple, orange, green, second green (green with blue stripe through middle) blue, second blue (blue with brown stripe) brown, second brown (Brown with red stripe) Red, second red (Red with black stripe) Half red half black, then black then the dons.

  • this isnt how i remember it, you sure its right?

  • this isnt how i remember it, you sure its right?

  • My belts go like this: White Yellow 1 Yellow 2 Yellow 3 Blue 1 Blue 2 Blue 3 Red 1 Red 2 Red 3 Probationary black / Chodanboh Black
  • I do WTF style my belts go like White yellow yellow 2 yellow 3 blue 1 blue 2 blue 3 red 1 red 2 red 3 black
  • i do this style and my belts go white yellow green green/white blue blue/white red red/white brown brown/white black.
  • i do this style and my belts go white yellow green green/white blue blue/white red red/white brown brown/white black.
  • You start with white belt then u get a little yellow snip on the white belt. Next is the Yellow, then the Orange. Next is green then blue. next is blue with a red snip then red. next is red belt with 1 black snip, then 2, then 3. AND LAST....BLACK BELT!

so it goes like this.... White-White with yellow snip-yellow-orange-green-blue-blue wih red snip- red -red with 1 black snip - then 2 and three blacks snips - Black

  • Depends what style you do. At Cho's its

    White

    Yellow 2, 3

    Blue 1, 2 , 3

    Red 1, 2 ,3

    Cho Dan Bo (black/red)

    Black.

  • In my Dojang the belts are White Half white half yellow (you only have this belt if you are under 12 year old) Yellow Yellow with a green stripe Green Green with a blue stripe Blue Blue with a red stripe Red Red with black stripe Half red half black (you only have this belt if you are under 16 years old and its name is Poom) Black (Dan)
  • Okay, guys, the reason is because the is the old belt system and the new belt system, different clubs use different poomsaes and belts

  • stop that dojang crap. there are international rules, if ur dojang doesn't fit this, sry for u. white white/yellow yellow yellow/green green green/blue blue blue/red red red/black black
  • Nella mia palestra è: bianca mezza gialla gialla mezza verde verde mezza blu blu mezza rossa rossa mezza nera nera
  • in my dojang we do: White Yellow Green Green with a blue stripe Blue Blue with a Red stripe Blue with 2 red stripe Red Red with 1 black stripe Red with 2 black stripe Red with 3 black stripe Black (DAN)
  • In my taekwondo study center the belts are: White (you begin with that) White with yellow stripe Yellow Orange Green Blue Blue with red stripe Red Red with one black stripe Red with two black stripes Red with three black stripes ...And then finally Black (1st Dan-9th Dan)
  • Typical WTF gradings go as follows: White belt (standard no grading needed) Yellow tag/stripe(may be skipped or two gradings may be rolled into one to cover require ments for yellow tag and full yellow belt no other grading may be treated this way to my knowlage) Yellow Green tag/ stripe Green Blue tag/ stripe Blue Red tag/ stripe Red Black tag/ stripe Black 1st Dan- 9th Dan (4th dan earns the title Master)
  • In my dojand we follow.... White Yellow High Yellow Green High Green Blue High Blue Red High Red - Cho Dan Bo Black
  • in my dojang we do: white orange yellow high yellow green high green blue purple red high red then the nine degrees of black
  • i thought u where supposed to fase punch

  • from steps 17-20 is it walking stance or front stance?

  • my school has: white yellow orange green blue browm brown red red red black black red and then black
  • We got White White-Yellow Yellow Yellow-Green Green Green-Blue Blue Blue-Red Red Red-Black Black(Dan) You can use Brown instead of Red
  • in black belt world, ours our white high white yellow high yellow green high green blue high blue red high red deputy black
  • in my TaeKwonDo school we have White Yellow Orange Green Blue Brown Red 2ndRed Black :D
  • in my TKD center its white yellow orange green Green I blue Blue I purple purple I red red I brown poom (half black half red) black
  • my studio goes white, yellow, orange, green, green 1, purple, blue, blue 1, red, red 1, brown, brown 1, black with a red stripe, then nine degrees of black.

  • How bout white, gold (orange), green, blue, purple, brown, red then black? Those are the belt levels in Unified TaeKwon-Do International (UTI). I am currently a 3rd Dan

  • White Yellow-White Yellow (My Current Belt) Green-White Green Blue-White Blue Red-White Red Red-Black Black
  • In my school there is i'm 11 by the way white, yellow, green, green with one blue stripe, blue, blue with one red stripe, red, red with one, two, three black stripes and finally Black

  • i do taekwondo.lost 52 pounds doin it

    5 stars

  • that´s not true.

    the official belts are:

    white, white-yellow, yellow, yellow-green, green, green-blue, blue, blue-red, red, red-black, black.

brown can also be used instead of red.

  • TKDEsra, thank you for sharing the poomsae videos. They have helped countless Taekwondo students!

There are not, however, any official belt colors. Being primarily concerned with organising, governing, and promoting competition, the WTF recognizes particular forms as "official." But there are not official Gup (Keub) colors... That is why they vary so much from school to school!

    2nd Dan Keith DuPree

  • @TKDEsra Thants very true and that why i watched this video im a yellow green

  • @TKDEsra Some guys use brown instead of red, but it wore out before now it uses red instead of brown, the purple is that I did not know ...

  • @TKDEsra that sounds right - though I had white, yellow, orange, purple, green, blue, brown, red, red/black, black. (all with stripes ).

I don't think the belts really become important until 1st Dan. The belt is really a symbol - a goal to look up to

  • @TKDEsra true true what kind of taekwondo do you do and also isnt it supposed tobe high blocks for the 3rd set?

  • @TKDEsra in my skool its white, yellow, orange, green, green stripe, blue, blue stripe, purple stripe, red.red stripe, brown ,poom- which is red and black and then finally black belt. i go to United Taekwondo

  • @codduckypond thats from karate and as far i know it KARATE IS FOR FAGS

  • @Netoxifyed thats not from karate thats from the olympic style taekwondo and all the other olympic style dojangs have that exact same belt order, and i will agree that i do not like karate but karate isnt for fags and seriously, why would you go back a year just to talk shit?

  • @codduckypond hey ive been to plenty olympic seminars and ive never seen any of the belt colours like, orange, purple or brown.

so go get you'r facts straight.

  • @FBsomeone i do have my facts straight, maybe its just different for each region in the states

  • @Netoxifyed derp is a herp

  • my school goes white, yellow, orange, green, green with a blue stripe/pretest, blue, purple, brown, brown with black stripe/pretest, brown with red stripe/its a form, red, red with black stripe/pretest, black, then 9 mor degrees

  • in my school it goes White, Yellow Yellow Green Stripe, Green Green Blue Stripe, Blue, Blue Red Stripe Red,Red Black Stripe then the 9 degrees of black

  • then your school isnt olympic style, right?

  • And some another turn:

    white, white-yellow, yellow, yellow-green, green, green-blue, blue, blue-red, red, red-black, black...

  • Okay, because everyone else is doing it, my turn:

White, yellow, gold (dark yellow, basically), orange, green, purple, blue, red, brown, what we call "high brown", or brown with a black stripe, and then black. Two years total from white to black.

Also, to Piotrio, the belt colours are just for beginners to see their progress. By the time you're a black belt, though, you usually realize that it's not about your rank but your progress. So you're right, the belt doesn't show your true skill.

  • muchas gracias, esto me sirve demasiado.. gracias gracias! x3

  • well im am a orange stripe now but its white then yellow then orange then orange stripe then purple then purple stripe then green green stripe then blue blue stripe brown brown stripe red then black

  • White, yellow st, yellow, orange, green, purple, blue, brown, red, black stripe, danbo black and then first dan etc....

  • Wow, what fantastic sound effects. Snap, bang, click, snap, click...

  • in our system its start with white, yellow, yellow with green stripe, green, green with blue stripe, blue ,blue with red stripe, red ,red with black stripe and then black and then for the second dan an third am so on ...

soo thats our system I don't think that TKD has orange or purple or even brown belts ???

    0.0

But don't go with the belts the true power is yourself XD because the belt just make the pants not to slip away XD

sry for my english it's not as good :)

  • in most centers its white, yellow, orange, green, green I, blue blueI red redI purple, purple I,brown, poom, black

    I= stripe

poom is half red half black

  • Very odd belt system but possible but certanly not most dojangs would use this as purple should never be above red nor brown

  • white, white orange stripe, white yellow stripe, yellow white stripe, yellow, yellow green stripe, green white stripe, green, green blue stripe, blue white stripe, blue, blue red stripe, red white stripe, red, red black stripe, red black, black.

  • When my dad used to teach, the system went white, yellow, yellow stripe, orange, orange stripe, green, green stripe, blue, blue stripe, purple, purple stripe, brown, brown stripe and if you're under 14 then it was junior black, first dan black, second dan black etc. but if you were 14 or over, then it just jumped straight to 1st dan black

But this "White-Yellow Stripe" is new to me. Is that an ITF system?

  • I'm pretty sure it's a WTF system. I could be wrong. I will verify with my instructor

  • And in my school it goes: White, Yellow, High Yellow, Green, High Green, Blue, High Blue, Red, High Red, Brown, Black.

  • hm... i remember this from a long time ago... :)

  • sweet. i just had my belt test on that

  • Interesting. I was taught the Palgwe series of forms instead of Taegeuk. It looks like these forms move a lot quicker because you are doing one or two moves, then switching directions. The Palgwe series does 3-4 moves in one line at a time.

  • thanks i had forgetten it now i remember

  • (3) sam jang
