You missed the point. I am not hating or heartless. The USA is broke, in debt and our government cannot even help our own victims of disasters. Money for war is nessessary to avoid our country being destroyed by terrorists. US Government aid should be directed at US citizen victims of disasters and needy people only. Money for Haiti will do nothing for us.

Its amazing that these actors show so much concern for physical threats, calamities, and discomforts, yet they defend and celebrate threats that destroy the soul and body in hell. Haiti's deplorable corrupt condition is the end game of radical liberal policy and the welfare state. They break your legs and destroy your soul and then pose as spiritual physical healers.

Ask yourself why celebs like George Clooney and the like are always supporting Red Cross and Unicef and not other organizations like Salvation Arny and Good will who do a better job of distributing and handling the money brought in than the Red Cross has ever done. I urge folk to try giving to these organizations. The chances of the people actually getting the things they need are much better indeed. Hurricane Katrina taught me that.

In my town there were several people indicted and fired from Salvation Army for taking the better quality donated items and selling them at flea markets. Not just once, 3 times, So sorry to burst your bubble, Salvation Army sucks and I would not even donate a dead animal to them. Good will is alot better but I think their money goes to shools that teach certain traits. I could be wrong. But I never hear of them helping in crisis like these.

no offense, but I'm not sending money. Obama is sending 100 million, and hopefully the money will get to those in Haiti who need it. Haiti is corrupt , and the UN claims it has been sending money to Haiti for years and most of the people over there never see it. It's obvious from the deplorable condition these people have to live in. Somebody over there is going to make money off SOME of these donations.

Not true! Quincy Jones even helped me in a crisis and I was a stranger. I also know about his help in many poor nations plus HERE. Others helped too. The media only focuses on certain aspects of celebrity. Good doesn't seem to be newsworthy. The PUBLIC won't buy it except for affairs etc like Tiger Woods. THEN the public listens, tunes in, talks, buys, etc. Sooo sad. MANY do good works! Though not enough of any type, really.

dont get me wrong, i hope the best for the victims in Haiti, but these celebrities just piss me off like they know what these people are going through, when they have millions, and the people in Haiti have lost everything.
I did agree with what keifer said though, when i heard that many countries were pitching in money and medical supplies i was happy and proud that the whole world joined together as one to help the less fortunate, best of luck to the victims in Haiti.

I've got no issue with short-term charity for something like this, but that place had bigger problems before this, and will still have after. To which there are real solutions that don't involve designer jeans, aid money, or celebrity saviours.
Protip: Natural disasters aren't so bad, when you're not living in a primitive and corrupt Third World shithole.

The problem as usual is not their motivations, sincerity, or how much effort/time/money they are prepared to expend, but the real-world net effectiveness of their efforts.
If you send $100 and switch your brain off, you'll feel just as good about yourself whether that money has a full $100 worth of benefit in Haiti, a fraction of it, or winds up in some corrupt scumbag's greasy mits and does $100 worth of damage.
If anyone professes to really care they should start caring about that first.
