@gusgemba the word 'Burgher' isn't used to refer exclusively to Sri Lankans of Dutch descent. there are Portuguese burghers, English burghers, french burghers (a tiny community), etc. the Kaffirs are not of European descent: they have African roots. So no, these people ARE Portuguese burghers
