@R3LL0323 you should be able to get a bit more life out of it, but obviously it won't hold more than 65% so it's probably worth buying a new one or only using your laptop on AC power if you can
@R3LL0323 oh and if you replace the battery, try to only have the battery in when it needs charged to use when not at the adaptor, having it plugged in and charging all the time is what causes it
I am really worried that my laptop wont ever charge. I took out the battery that is behind the system, as you said, and then when I put it back, it does charge but then stops at 1 percentage (that I had for over a day) . I have put the laptop on charge for over a day, as I just said, and it still is 1 percentage. Please help me.
It's a DELL problem - it wants a Dell adapter or one that has the chip in it. Your adapter is damaged or you have a cheapo unchipped generic replacement. Could also be the jack is weak but that's about 1 in 10 that the jack is bad. It has nothing to do with Vista or 7.
@JeFfHaRdY9571 well thats what happened to my laptop too, i plugged it in and it was normal and it worked. but when i took out the plug it turns off (shuts down) quickly. so i bought a new battery, thats behind the system. and then i put in the new battery and checked if it was charging. it was charging and when i take the plug out it does not shut down. :) hope it helped
this is a really stupid solution... you dont need to make a video to explain this... "hey guys to fix plugged in not charging just remove the battery, wait 30 minutes and put it back in"
@KarnageIWA THAT HAPPEND TO ME!!! LOL! i told my computer guy who fixes my computer and said pasificly IN quotes ''i need a new adapter for my computer please'' and he said ok. he said what kind. i said the same that i have. gusse what. he gave me a new battery computer and i said ADAPTER!!!
good stuff, my laptop is shit. I'm waiting right now, hopefully it works. Will my computer die with the battery out but plugged in? It has 15% last time i checked, dies quickly too.
@MarfoesTechHelp might want to try a charger first because u can get one on ebay for like 15$.plus the charger is like the most seen issue but yours might be diffrent please reply thanks.

Honestly didn't think to take out the battery. Also, you only have to take it out for like 30 seconds, not minutes.
