  • If its pay to play then you will try to get your money back trough the AH ( as we can use our real money ) . With the cuts ( % ) blizzard will get even more money ! :/ Is it all about money in this world ?

  • I'm 23 and have been playing Blizz titles since WC:1.

    You?

  • "Items and eventually characters are available for real money."

Can no one think for themselves and see how bad this is?

Come on guys, the prince isn't wearing any clothes.

  • I think the new loot system might work because more people will need more loot but it may also start conflict if it doesn't have something like the world of Warcraft roll system and the fact of the matter is if you play solo you'll have trouble with battles but you keep the loot and multi player will be easy but there will be problems

  • If you like/defend the RMAH you probably fall into one of the two catagories:

    a) you used forum-gold or a botting program in D2 and you are a greedy motherfucker that does not represent the Diablo community.

    b) you have been playing video-games for under 5 years and you think you've seen it all. Guess again.

  • @MrFiddleedee and how old migth you be? buying/selling is in al major games, now blizz makes a buck of it and ceep the things inhouse. me my first comp(x86) was the good ol 386 so ive been around a while i woud say...not saying i like it but its better in house then 3rd party scamer?

*disclamer i cant type spel for shit and english is not my first language.

  • @gapedman I will be enjoying Torchlight 2 while you are forced to spend money to stay relevant in a game that has swung so far towards the world of warcraft corner that it is hard to recognize anymore.

"Diablo 3 will feature a real money auction house where in-game players can buy/sell items and eventually characters using real money."

If you don't have a problem with this on a cellular level then you should go back to your x-box or your job at Blizzard.

  • @MrFiddleedee lol i will also enjoy torcligth2 as much as i liked torchligt one...i have a problem whit that but its better in-house then shady 3rd party site, if you dont ce that that's your problem...it will be there either i like it or not...i have no consoles except an old snes...the world is not in black and white its most often shaded in gray, mr gaped signing out of stupid intraweb arguing..

  • @MrFiddleedee You are just being a whiner and you have no idea how great this auction house is. In China, there are 100,000 people whose job profession is "gold farmer" for WOW. They farm it, illegally sell it + items on 3rd party sites for money - this is something Blizzard has absolutely no power to stop.

If you want to sell your items for money, you have to permanently choose: real money (that you keep, buy a slurpee), or blizzard money that you can buy Blizzard related goods with.

  • @thiennguyenX2

Enjoy fighting asian gold farmers for pennies... wait your last name is nguyen.....

    hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm

  • @MrFiddleedee huh?

  • as in any game i believe if you have more players to split the amount of loot between there should be more loot dropped which also means theres is more chance of getting better loot however if you do get good loot it may get stolen by anouther team mate or split between 4 players so it is a good thing as long as there is a max of 4 players to limit the amount of farming people can do.

  • As for group play beholding more loot? i dont buy it! what was presented is that you have the oportunity to kill more DPM <~~ Demons Per Minute! Its the same amount of loot in a faster time period. So in that case just party with me on my OP Barb leaving the loot behind for more blood!

  • Watch my gameplay from leaked Diablo 3!

  • Its the same for every mmorpg game... Its not like they have more drop rate, but you kill faster yeah. So this means while playing co-op u have more chances to get something but the problem is... who gets it? So... this means you should party with different character classes (more fun) and everyone happy? =)

    LIKE!

  • mmmm group play = more loot for the melee chars like the barbarian and monk, i had a playthrough with a friend which used a paladin and i used a sorceress and my friend had twice my money and way more loot..... they need to watch out for that lol

  • Diablo 3 is now pay-to-play...

    ...

    R.I.P. Blizzard North.

  • @MrFiddleedee

    IS IT????!?!?

or did you just say so??

Becuase if it is i going to download it

  • @fallout111111 It is. There is a real money auction house... if you want to compete in PVP you must pay money.

Furthermore in PVE terms magic find will only be on the legendary items (bash/jay confirmed). Because of this they will be hot items for the RMAH and will only be found there due to greed. It is a closed loop, if you want better gear you must pony up the cash for the MF gear to farm it. If you don't have the cash you must farm for years to get there.

    Its P2P, don't be naive.

  • @MrFiddleedee Of course this is P2P, you think Blizzard is gonna make another version of D2 and have people play it for 10 years and gain nothing but the initial game purchase? Who pays for bliz's server maintenance over 10 years? Content update? Hack monitoring? Quests? Balancing? That's right no one.

As for your lame ass PVP example. In the past, when someone wanted godly PVP gear they didn't go to blizzard's auction house, they went to third party, illegal shit, paid cash and got it. lol @ u

  • @thiennguyenX2 It isnt just P2P, but it uses the P2P system to sell items. Money for power.

Enjoy your watered down wow-clone where you can buy power.

I can tell you any gamer worth their salt will be avoiding D3 like the plague.

    Torchlight 2 ftw.

  • @thiennguyenX2 You are clearly just a gold farmer anyway, this game was made for you.

    Ni Hao!

  • @MrFiddleedee OOO broke troll is too broke to pay for a video game so broke troll-trolls the internet with spam and racist shit to take out his anger.

Just a game bro. Pay for it, it's not much.

  • @thiennguyenX2 I will pay for Torch Light 2 and I will pay only once.

Apologies, I realise I was being racist. I was wrong about calling you a gold-farmer, no excuse.

  • @MrFiddleedee If D3 ever becomes as bad as you think it is, Blizzard will lose legions of fans - they will never risk that for short term profit. If it's P2P like those broken ass Korean MMO's, I'd be the first to stop playing Blizzard games. Korean MMO's never last long specifically because of the way they try to monetize their games.

Blizzard is an extremely sensible company and they will monetize D3 properly, for their own sake. RMAC allows bliz to get a cut + police transactions for D3.

  • @thiennguyenX2 They already have lost legions of fans.

    You are so naive.

  • @MrFiddleedee W/e man. I'm not the one forecasting the doom of a game/company before its beta has even been announced - I've seen people do this over and over and over, it's just to tired. People just love to complain I don't know why I don't just let them.

  • @thiennguyenX2 Enjoy your job/game.

    Shill.

  • @MrFiddleedee I love how you apologized for accusing me of being a chinese gold farmer and then you're back at it now ROFL.

And why would I be a gold farmer if everything I've said so far has been that blizzard is trying to take steps against it so it's a good thing? Are you bipolar or something? Don't bother replying, I've given this troll enough attention.

  • @thiennguyenX2 Don't bother replying to me, if you don't want a response you fucking troll.

  • @MrFiddleedee hhm but you said pay to play i thought you meant a monthly fee

  • @fallout111111 no hes trolling.

  • @MrFiddleedee Oh shut up

  • @wanttobehacker lol?

I wonder why a select few feel the need to white-knight for Blizzard...

    watch?v=wQMKdqTmVn8 <--- Petition against the cash-grab 'RMAH'.

    RIP Blizz North.

  • @MrFiddleedee Because what you're saying, is a lie.. A big lie

  • @MrFiddleedee if you think so, why dont you let diablo 3 REST in peace? why keep coming and posting these craps ? let it rest, let US rest in peace without ur crap qqing.

  • @MrFiddleedee

wrong. D3 is Free to play once you purchase the game.

There is nothing you have to pay for after purchasing the game.

Tell me what you are forced to pay for after buying the client? Nothing. Oh. Okay. Point and Case. GG

No one is twisting your arm to buy gear. And You'l do fine on the Gold AH if that's al you want to do. Stop bitching.

  • The reason for 4 player co-op makes sense, and it still allows for those co-op drop farming sessions, what would you rather have? 10 or more players completely owning a dungeon and only a specific amount of those players gettng loot? or 4 players and everyone participates and gets loot FASTER.

Makes for more fun + if those other people are your friends it makes dividing loot easier... however they should add something for single players to enjoy some sort of bonus aswell?

  • Gonna be so good fuck.

  • The momentum of group play provides more loot, the group community to invite more friends into a game to kill more monsters to get more loot is an enticing prospect indeed! Now Blizzard can help push those reclusive single-players into multi-play, if only just to produce a larger reward for that player.. in terms of enjoyability of the game as a bonus (more players = more explosions = more blood= more fun) and just pure epix rain.

  • It's a great idea to give more loot when playing co-op because it's like encouraging friendship. You don't get any downfall from playing co-op (except possibly kill stealing). You get to make new friends, or play with old ones, and it'll keep people from getting bored with the game. Games are always more fun with a few friends to speak to as you're blasting through the various beasts that await their dreadful end.

The max party size of 4 makes sense since it would be way too easy with any more.

  • More loot owns!

  • I say its a smart idea The most loots more chance of a - Class stuff and if u play with friends obv. then will give u the proper items now the only problem i have is that picking up other classes weapons and not stealing thats what happened to me and i got so mad in diablo 2 because of that i hope they make the group size reasonable and make it pretty nice all so its a good looting systems Obv. there wil lbe ups and down on the way so u might have to handle the problems. Thanks, Hope u like.

  • U say its a smart idea The most loots more chance of a - Class stuff and if u play with friends obv. then will give u the proper items now the only problem i have is that picking up other classes weapons and not stealing thats what happened to me and i got so mad in diablo 2 because of that i hope they make the group size reasonable and make it pretty nice all so its a good looting systems Obv. there wil lbe ups and down on the way so u might have to handle the problems. • I like the idea because for more players you will need more loot for all of them(or most) to be equally geared(more or less) because you dont want a single person carrying all of you through quest, however gear that drops should be scaled with level and difficulty of the current zone and quests(which wasn't really the case in Diablo 2). It is logical that playing with more people should make enemies tougher and defeating them should bring more or better rewards.

  • Can I play this game in coop mode.. With my friend?

  • I support co-op play, I used to do allot of co-op in Diablo 2, and I know of nothing that is more fun than to sit at the pc with good friends on skype or vent and play a game like this.

  • @gardinustaung

    U play in offline mode?

  • co-op is the new style for almost every game on the planet. It's gonna be awesome. I'm gonna get my friends ready for the game. we all are ready to quit WoW for good.

  • Any multiplayer game is multiplayer for a reason, namely so you can play with friends, i think blizzard is trying to capitalize on that with their loot ideas. Thats not to say that if you're a solo player you can't still get what you want from the game, it just may take a little longer. The max party size may only be 4 players but i like that they are trying to reduce some of the fray problems, and who wants to split loot 8 ways with cash on the line?

  • On the other hand if you just have time for 1-2 runs then you might definitely end up less loot. So as a rule of thumb if you have time for just 1-2 runs then you better off alone but if you are farming or intend to spend a few hours playing D3 then a party is a way to go.

  • Blizzard is following a different path they decreased the time necessary to finish a run while leaving the loot amount the same. This is good when you are after a specific item dropping from a specific mob because you will have more tries within the same time frame. So from farming perspective definitely a good thing. I like it.

  • I think Blizzard was Mr. Obvious with the group loot statement.

It is clear for everybody that with more people you kill mobs faster. In other games this was balanced with increased HP for mobs (or more mobs) and the same time they increased the drop rate. The result was that you spent almost the same time finishing an instance with a party but with a higher chance for more loot.

  • One of the greatest ideas of group play for more loot will come from, yes, the speed of killing monsters. However I feel there is more to the situation than this, such as an increased number of mobs that spawn, which will increase the amount of loot via more chances.

I feel this is a very good aspect of the game, as it turns a player out of the solo game play shell, and throws them more into community play. A community building on everything that makes Blizzard games so wonderful.

  • Yeah to what when of the game so Diablo *sdcc* where? It is a box of to give away beta

  • yes i liked and to me blizzard is trying to induce multiplayer so why there are more loots in multi mode

  • I love the fact that co-op play will yield more loot due to the faster killing rate, because it will encourage players to play together rather than going to play D3 alone. I also like the idea of easy joining to your friends' games, straying away from the old school way of creating a game an passwording it. Great videos man, keep 'em coming.

  • So hard to hear the voice over the music. Audio fail :(

  • multi play may have an effect on the amount of loot disposed?

  • I think the loot idea is good, but the character in the game are not going to take it as "Oh, that loot is for them." They are going to want it, and sell it. Which could be a good thing for the other player. They are going to try to make equal loot, but like BeBattey said it won't be equal. Maybe more loot , but not any better chance of the player getting anything. They have to limit what a boss drops out.

I think solo play won't be any harder to get loot. It will be just like D1 and D2.

  • So new D3 footage tomorrow right?

  • omg omg omg omg omg omg omg omg omg

  • From what you've said, we won't get more loot at all. In order for us to get equal loot, there will have to be twice as many monsters for 2 players, three times for 3, etc. Unless they want to add 150% more monsters, we will NOT get more loot.

The whole idea is kind of backwards imo. I ran /players 5 or with others to have a higher chance of getting better, rare or unique items. According to this, that won't happen. Boss kills will have the same chances. TERRIBLE idea.

  • I am coming from many games that require coop play in order to succeed in a game. I am looking forward to Diablo III for the fact that all content can still be seen as a single player. If it takes me a little longer solo, I have no issue with it. OTOH, I don't like the idea of being forced to team up, due to having to have that strict schedule to succeed. It also sometimes gets tedious finding players of equal skill in a popular game. I tend to be an elitist at heart.

  • THE GIANT. DIABLO3 IS COMING !!

  • I think that the idea of adding loot for group play is a good thing! I think that D3, as you acknowledged, is a game that is trying to exemplify the co-op way of gaming. Personally, I think gaming is more fun when you play with a team. Because solo play is also fun (and more like D1 and D2 in that it was the way I played it) It would be interesting if you had to attain a certain level completely solo and acquire some good loot and then join a group and get better/more loot.

  • the extra loot from co-op it's useless because the items won't bind on character and you can get them very easy

  • Diablo 3 System Requirements Diablo III's system requirements are expected to be: For PC: Operating System: Windows XP/ Vista Processor: 1.4GHz or higher CPU. RAM: 1Gb or more. Video: 128Mb video card Dx9 Hard Drive Space: 4-8GB For Mac: Operating System: MacOS X 10.3 (Panther) or better. Processor:1.6GHz or higher. RAM: 1Gb or higher, DDR RAM recommended. Video: 128mb ATI or NVIDIA video card Hard Drive Space: 4-8 GB
  • Group play will evidently be the most important in Hardcore mode. With more people sticking together, the entire group has higher survival chances, can cover each other during disconnects, and harder tackle enemies. Increased loot drops due to increased speed of clearing dungeons is a good thing that brings players and communities together.

  • Defiantly the most nostalgiac memorys I have of Diablo II are grouping up with a big group of people and doing countless runs of baal, tristram, diablo, and the secret cow level.

I do like the fact group play will mean more loot as it encourages co-op play. However I find it slightly ironic that they are trying to encourage co-op play, yet they have made the maximum party size 4.

  • @PastyFlawss mmmm they designed the game for 4 player coop, it is more inmersive comparing it to what diablo 2 was i think, i dont know maybe they are making it that way so that you play only with your friends... how many people can play on a server of D2 anyways???

  • remember that if a wizard staff drops that you need, but gets picked up by the barb in ur group you can always trade with him with something that dropped for you that he needs, but if you are alone, you don't have that option to negotiate with party members. Obviously there is no guarantee that party members will be that nice but the option is still thar

  • I think its great because its going to make you want to play co-op all tho if there are more players the less are the chances for you to pick up the item you want so i think they should work on that

  • Ccc

  • i think it's awesome, because now i have a reason to be in parties. making the game more interactive not just with the game itself but people from all over. i think blizzard focusing on co-op play is a new angle that Diablo 2 missed. It gives a player incentive to party up and smash the games defenses. This is a great idea and i will continue to await Diablo 3's arrival.

  • Your*. Not you're. Dumbass.

  • I dont care bout the coments, all i know is that i will kick you're noob asses in D3 meet you there

  • The increased drops Seem like less of an incentive for straying from single player and entering co-op and more like a balancing mechanic. Obviously if there are more players that are helping to defeat mobs then there should be additional drops to compensate for the additional players. Also, it would be good to note that in Diablo 2 whenever there were more players the game would adjust the stats of the mobs in relation to how many players there are. I do believe it is a necessary mechanic.

  • I myself think that the extra from co-op gaming is great because this way you can gain massive amounts of loot and share it amoung friends, but then again on the same subject if people can just run in and steal all the loot for themselves that can end up being a major headache for other gamers.

  • I've always found that group play has more benefits than playing solo. Even if it's just different class abilities complimenting each other. But now there really be rewards for co-op play. Smart!

  • Well, I think that while in co-op you can get loot faster, I find that I rarely get any, because one player will take all the loot he can carry before we can get to any.

Now that I read my comment I remember that in Diablo 2 items are limited by size and shape, so naturally they couldnt do that. Unfortunatly, in the Diablo 3 gameply video, items were not limited by their size, so it looks like co-op will only benefit the fastest, toughest, and annoyingly dishonorable players.

  • @iliveinhell300 We each get our own loot in d3, so no more loot snatching :), you can only see others loot after a time period and if they drop it.

  • @ARavenousWolf really? i didnt know that... but still, co-op is always frantic, trying to keep up, trying to do better...

  • What is Beta?

  • @boxsaspen beta is a new class in diablo 3 its going to be the best one

  • I think extra loot for co-op is great , as jt promotes co-op play, it creates more avenues for trading between players, and produces more of a want to communicate with your party. That tied in with the fact that players can only see their own loot means there will be less 'loot snatching'

Less disputing over gear = more killing mosters = a more enjoyable experience overall.

  • why would u play this solo?

ah yes that's not the question.

  • You may get more loot but you will only see items that drop for you, so if ur killing 4 times as many monsters then surely with a 4 man team then u will get around 1/4 of the drops for you which sounds like it may even itself out

  • I think group play should mean more loots, yes monsters are killed faster but when you are 3-4 + to fight for an item drop it's kinda hard to get it ( even if you're a diablo professional clicker, people spamming their mices out for loots doesn't help ). I think monsters should drop a bit more gold, more items and more rare/unique/set items just like in diablo 2 ( disregarding Magic find if there is any in d3 ). ^^

  • My top ten fave games are: 1)WoW and both expansions 2)All Diablos 3)MW2 4)Starcraft 2 5)MW1 6)Brutal Legend 7)all Assassins Creeds 8)All Fables 9)Orange Juice and 10)Megan Fox
  • I think Loot co-op is good because if you get the same loot as if you play by yourself is kinda boring and it just feels like who you are playing with is just stealing from you...

  • You are not really getting more loot by co-op because there are still two or more people that can use the loot. I.E.If there are two of you and playing together gives twice the loot drops you are still only getting half of the loot. So by playing together it might be the same as soloing, but you kill faster.

  • The Co-op gaming got its advantages and disadvantages when you play solo you may kill creatures slower but you get all the loot for yourself. For example there is that blade (if you are barbarian) and you have another barbarian in the co-op and he takes your axe. But playing co-op expecially is better than going solo because of the fun in the gaming.

  • Question is: Are you going to get better loot or more loot while playing in group? My answer differs based on those two things. If you should get better loot by playing in group, I think it's bad concept, but if it's just more loot, it's logical thinking - more players = more (and tougher) enemies = more loot. Overall, players who play in group should get some more rewards, but it shouldn't be something that you can't earn while playing solo.

  • More loot doesn't mean better loot

  • Although the storyline alone is enough to play these series solo, group play is going to promote a healthy community.. The fact that loot will drop solely for YOU and not your 'group' as a whole means no one will be racing to ninja loot that sweet drop that just occured (while we all know that back in D2 if your PC wasnt up to par your game froze anytime a boss died, inevitably robbing you of clicking first), and those sweet drops will drop from ANYTHING the group destroys!

  • Increased loot drops for group play will always be a good thing. Although I have personally played as mostly solo for both DIablo 1 and 2, in a group setting more loot means a greater likelihood of gear upgrades for everyone in the team.

Combine extra loot along with loot drops for indivdual people and you get a result of lots of shinies for everyone.

Want a specific loot set? Play with friends to get a higher chance of getting the other pieces.

In summary: More loot = better.

  • Cmon Force get back already! We need to know!!! Sniff, nervous breakdown.... Must... have... more D3

  • don't like the idea to post own opinions on topics, just keep the giveaway random :/

  • I think increased loot in group play is awesome. I don't know about you guys, but I prefer to play with my friends, it's boring to play by yourself. I think also that you only get to see your loot and no have to fight over loot will make for a better gameplay with your friends because your not going to be pissed at them for taking the items. I think the new system that Blizzard came up with is great. I just cant wait for 8/1 to hear the big news!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • i cant find any diablo 3 beta artwork on my account

  • I am for increased loot in group play, One of the reasons for this is because if you have for example Two players playing co-op and the loot was to drop the same speed and quantity as in single player that is only effectively enough loot to gear one of the players which either can result in one player being under geared or both players being mostly under geared as they progress from sharing the loot.

To have increased loot rate with group play will help balance the players joint progression.

  • I think it’s a great idea to get more loot from group play because you all want your share of items after finishing a dungeon. There is nothing more dissatisfying as leaving a dungeon with only a few items while one of your group members got lucky and got the majority of the drops. People are greedy and probably will not share loot if they are the lucky one and get most drops (unless you play with friends, who are most likely to share drops for equal drop receiving after finishing the dungeon).

  • Increase of monster killing is always fun and with increased loot creates an special atmosphere to have more enjoyment coming from the game

  • im rdy for 8/1/11. I shall camp at my computer, while watching TV with some coffee and I will not sleep til i can get this new info. Can't wait til then, til then *refresh* *refresh* *refresh*...

  • can some one reply to my what date he will come back ? from the media event, plz reply some one!

  • everyone loves more loot.. =)

  • i wish the same guy who made the music for diablo 1 &2 also did 3...

  • I would also say that if multiple players wind up increasing the kill speed to substantially increase the rate of dropped loot; Blizzard should see it as a game balance issue. Killing monsters faster means that killing them is collectively easier and, as it has been said, playing god is only fun for so long. The lack of challenge drives the players away from the game.

  • It seems to me that the more characters there are in the game, the more loot there is overall, if there is a 1/3 chance of loot dropping for a character and three characters are in the game, roughly 1 piece of loot will drop for each monster killed. With more loot comes the opportunity to trade and share that loot among your play mates. The Ninja looters are at a loss; because of the character specific loot drops not all loot on screen can be seen by all players.

  • If I play with buddies, we are all different classes and a buddy finds a piece of gear specific to my character (a special crossbow for the DH or something) then he would give that item to me. The percentages for loot are the same for each character, but with multiple characters enacting those percentages upon the same kills more loot will occur.

This is particularly effective because these events will occur regardless of how quickly the monsters die.

  • If your going solo play, loot and spec means nothing for you. There is a simple reason: You're playing solo play for the storyline and the completion of the game.

Now if you are going to play with friends, god in hell you better care about how much loot and gears you got. In any game with multiplayer, loot, mount, pets, gears = EPEEN. The feeling of superiority or the need for superiority is what drives people to play online (that and meeting new people but that part's dying out).

  • Comment removed

  • yes.

  • Yes to GROUP PLAY = MORE LOOT DROPS!

Significantly, it is something proportional to the number of players. Battle.net groups you accordingly w/ same leveled players to have equal opportunities in getting more loot. THE FASTER YOU KILL, THE MORE LOOT YOU GET.

But this doesn't mean you'll get better items than other players if they deliver the killing blow that kills the bosses & mini-bosses.

Sure, you wont have ninja looters but IF YOU KILL MORE, THEN YOU WILL GET MORE plus you level up faster.

  • With Diablo it is an equally awesome game whether your playing singleplayer or multiplayer. I think the fact that you can gain more loot while playing with others, works perfectly. Reason being it is not like if you are playing singleplayer your losing out or anything, but rather while online there is enough loot so that everybody doesn't have to fight. Plus with group play getting more loot, it also encourages the online Diablo community to grow, which is freakin' awesome yo. meow.

  • Comment removed

  • Better loot with group play is a rather positive thing not so much a bad idea . Better rewards from playing with your friends is a good idea as it will encourage players and their friends to unite in defeating the forces of darkness. In diablo 2 me and my friends used to do Baal runs for nights on end and to be able to get an equal epic opportunity in diablo 3 is an awesome idea that should not be frowned upon. if you do happen to be one of the players that has no friendsi ll be your friend^,^

  • Comment removed

  • I do like that fact and find it absolutely normal.Keep in mind that even though they will be more loot, the players will be sharing it so it means perfect sense that there's more of it.

  • in the diablo universe...you get 3 main overlords of hell, Diablo, Mephisto and bhaal....

how does "Satan" compare..and is diablo supposed to be a sort of satan?

  • @clovelywindheaven

diablo is devil in spanish and baal is metioned in the Bible as a pagan god and mephisto is a a pagon god 2 i think not for sure

  • Its a funny way of putting it, "More Loot" with "More Players" but kinda stirs up the pot if people aren't given the facts. Numerically, yes, its "more loot" because there are more players, so if a Boss would normally drop 1 piece of loot in solo, then that same boss in a 4 person game would drop 4 pieces of loot (but each person would only be able to see their 1 piece of loot). So while its "more loot per game" its not more loot proportionally. So there is nothing to dislike about it.

  • WHERE IS THE PART 2 OF THE DIABLO LORE SERIES PLZ THUMBS UP SO FORCE CAN SE THIS!

  • You're drop chances do not increase while you're with more people. The advantage of more people is a faster kill rate, while also facing potentially tougher enemies scaled up to match the the group size.

Although, if players each only sees their drops belonging to them, within a group you'll get 2-4 players worth of drops in one go. then you can trade, so you're chances of getting what you want do increase in a group.

It's still fair, because drops rates stay the same for every player

  • Group play should mean more loot, but there should be some kind of /roll system or something to encourage fairness. The problem with group play in Diablo 2 was that the person who often contributed the least would often get the most loot by just waiting like an ebay sniper for good drops (from other players). Maybe there can be damage calculators as well to favor players who are most productive which in turn would make them more likely to have higher rolls.

  • I love the fact that they encourage group play. My brothers would always join each others games while MFing in Diablo 2 just to up the loot rate. I'm disappointed that the multiplayer is limited to 4 players per game however. I hope they increase this down the road because I have 6-7 friends including my 2 brothers that will be playing this game with me.

  • my heart is pounding! i...cant....wait!!

  • this game... makes me... crush my girlfriends hand in my hand... OW SHES CRUSHING MINE TOO... FUCK I CANT WAIT

  • this guy said he's gonna have a new video from diablo 3 july 27?

  • I like that there will be more loot in co-op, especially if each player gets their own drops and other players can see what they get. This allows for the faster dungeon completion that you got in D2 co-op, but without the scrambling for drops that occurred where you have the one or two players that would just hang back and let everyone else kill while they go for loot. Makes the game faster, with more loot, and ultimately more fun.

  • Group play will be amazing.

  • It is perfectly fine for there to be more loot in a party. It will ensure that, regardless of whether or not you're playing alone or with others, you will still find the same amount of loot. If you found less, or the same amount of loot when you party up with your friends then there would not be as much incentive to play with others since others in the party will want the drops too. This would means that a player whom beat the game alone would have more than someone who beat it with friends.

  • Force, Please make a sepereate Diablo channel from your Starcraft channel

  • @blacklabel3980 There was but it was deleted -_- so annoying

  • Well it's called multiplayer for a reason. When people go to play online, it's usually because it's just more fun playing with others, whether it be friends in real life or people who you've just met on the game.

If the drops were the same for both solo and groups, it wouldn't give people a motive to play with eachother. For a game like diablo, although it's a lot of fun, the experience isn't the same without sharing it with others.

  • It does not sound like there will be more loot for each player. Just more loot per minute of play, but again your splitting it amongst others as well.

  • Yes,it means.

  • Group play creates a lot more social of an attitude and the fact that there is more people an each needs loot over all it is good

  • I jizz a little bit when i hear a diablo 3 update

  • God I wish d3 was more like d2 and d1.

I want it to have the Gothic feel to it, dark, grim, and epic.

  • @PovichG Where have you been? Diablo 3 will be dark, grim and epic. Just because you seen a small sunny part in act 1, doesn't mean it hasn't happened before. In act 2 of Diablo 2, everything was sunny, same with act 5. Diablo has been and will always be about Satan and his evil plans to take over Sanctuary. It is literally everything about hell, I can't see where you got this idea.

  • I personally hope that better and higher increments of loot should drop in group play because it might partially eliminate that need to meph run. I don't know about everybody else, but I personally don't enjoy having to get decent loot through meph run after meph run. It's dry, boring, and tasteless. I want to get good loot, while at the same time, playing with my friends and fighting different monsters (and bosses) in different locations. I've seen so much of Durance 3 it makes me cringe!

  • I think more loot OVERALL should be given in team play, as more people have to share the same loot. A party of X members can kill X times the monsters, and hence get X times the loot, divided by X party members to yield the same loot for the every member as in single player.

The difference is this time the players can get more variety of loot, and share it according to specific needs.

Overall, there won't be more loot in party play, but there will be better "customized looting"

  • Yes. More loot should drop when playing co-op. We need to fill up those "auction houses" fast, right? :-)

  • Group play should definitely be encouraged, by receiving more loot. First off, monsters scale as more people join games, so it won't be too drastic (allowing single players to be more or less on par). Secondly, Diablo games tend to be built around online cooperative play, and makes the game much more enjoyable for most. Also blizzard encourages people to play with others solely on the fact that it makes people play more, and encourage friends to buy the game...and increases their profits.

  • Don;t be beech, be diablo

  • I like the fact we will be getting more loot in co-op. Wonder if they will increase the number of monsters everytime someone enters the game. It's a good gameplay mechanic especially if blizzard plans on charging for bnet 2.0.

  • when is the EXACT time for media press event?
