  • That thing is very bad ass, I just wish the price was better. look into powerisers, they are in basically the same category of cool shit you strap on your feet, but with a price range around $300 so why does that thing cost WAY more? If they redesign it with more cost effective parts could that drop the price down to about the same as powerisers?

  • id love to strap that thing on Michael Phelps

  • erm, other than the design, what is the different from anyother?

  • btw: you need a better Sales Guy!

  • you're allowed to suck my dick for 1250 $

  • lookit me i'm a failure

  • Андронавские рулят сосите хер

  • $1250??? my ass

  • monofins look super inefficient...can any one explain the benefit of a monofin?...

  • @skitzonacid to swimm the butterfly you must do the dolphin kick a monofin is good for practicing this style of swimming ie: like a dolphin

  • @skitzonacid I heard it makes u swim faster

  • @1andonlybabyt genius!

  • @skitzonacid Y do i sense sarcasm

  • @skitzonacid swimming faster? its like asking what the benefit of common fins are..

  • @TheOneRebornElyrize i said the monofin "looks" inefficient a waste of energy and not hydrodynamic...all to mimic sea life.... can some one (who knows what they are talking about) please explain the pro's and con's of a monofin.

  • @skitzonacid this particular monofin sure looks weird indeed. but i don't know, maybe its width allows you to push more water..? its actually a lil about logic. but yea indeed, i wouldn't buy THIS monofin.

  • @TheOneRebornElyrize thank you. theonerebornelyrize

logically, i cant figure this out. but obviously i am no expert....

my logic tells me that we are not anatomically designed like a dolphin so although this simulates the look, our musculoskeletal system cant match a dolphins hydrodynamics. We are not built like them, any atempt for humans to replicate them looks is ineffective....at least that is how i see it?...

i have never free dived only recreational snorkeling, scuba and surfing.

  • @skitzonacid didnt say we were dolphins.. but a fin allowing you to push back more water should be more efficient than one that doesnt? :P and i dont really know how much turbulence a human body causes.. but we can simulate the looks, but maybe not the effectivity of it all :P maybe we should ask a dolphin? :D or an expert..

  • @TheOneRebornElyrize yeah dolphin or an expert thats what i was going for never mind ill just wiki it lol

  • @skitzonacid hmm..yea good one. so will i!

  • @skitzonacid Pros and Cons, my experience and opinions.

CONs: Not as maneuverable, not good for spearfishing or carrying gear.

The speed models require you to swim with hands over your head.

    PROs:

Monofins allow you to either swim VERY fast... or more efficiently than with twin fins.

    For fast, see MONOFIN 50M.

    or

    "AMAZING JUMP" MONOFIN.

For efficiency, see DAVE MULLINS 265 m. DYN... underwater swim on one breath.

-with the newer tilted foot models, you don't need your arms over your head to use.

  • @bubblerings cheers for that! ill check out those vids

  • This guy clearly has no idea what he is talking about. Maybe if he says "badass" a few more times, I'll buy it.

  • I as a finswimmer consider this to be a bad joke. That fin looks like a poor, shabby substitution for our (much cheaper) monofins.

  • OK, OK, let me get this straight, you expect me to pay 1800$ to go out into the ocean wearing some dumbass fin, that any jackass could make with a fucking mop for all we know, to drown or get eaten by a shark yeahhh go fuck yourself.

  • when attempting to make me part with $1200/1800 you should at least have a script...

  • Dude times have changed... I didnt know airplanes stay afloat ..

  • y would any1 buy that crap when u have a frog feet that cost like 20 bucks???

  • keep airplanes afloat?? how does this guy sell things.....good question.....he doesn't

  • That thing should be worth about $80-$100......anyway how or where can i purchase one? i'm a swimmer and i would love to have one of those.

  • Oh god, i just burst into tears laughing as soon as he said humans could breach with this. I'm just imagining a bunch of people flying out of the water. lmfao

  • @MasterChafed, it is quite humorous I know, but its been done just look on youtube

  • ugh ugh ugh ugh ugh ugh ugh ugh ugh ugh ummmmmm ugh ugh ugh ugh ugh

  • on-on-on, just get the words out.

  • @sameshitdifday Oh, no, wait... this is four weeks ago, and you were still acting like a whiny cunt. I love your mood swings... are you on your period?

  • i want one

  • Rather just attach a boat motor behind me and save some money.....

  • @sameshitdifday Funny if I am dismissed, then why I am I still talking. Dont you ever wonder why homosexuality is illegal in numerous places, maybe you should spend less of you're pathetic life talking shit and actually looking into why that is. You're right I can breed, and will enjoy every minute of it. Stop wasting you're time fool, and potentially become a contribution to society. I will "STFU" when you make me, but until then I will keep telling you exactly how it is CG. That is all.

  • @titsassnbert wow, tell us what you really think, don't be shy. You've just spent pages telling a guy to shut up. How about you actually talk about the swimming fin. Gay or straight you all sound like a bunch of teen that are insecure. Now back to the subject at hand, or are you going to tell me to stop talking to? Anyway, very cool fin. Would love to try one but not for that much. I knew some guys from the Keys that swam like crazy and did it all barefoot!

  • @shardsofsteel This is quite the hypocritical comment. You basically wrote a paragraph contradicting yourself. You are scolding us for talking about something completely off topic, while doing the exact same thing. Good one.

  • @titsassnbert Next time try reading to the bottom of a comment or to the end... as I actually got back onto topic. Or do your mood swings not let you get that far before you start furiously typing your next mood shift related comment. I've seen drama queens in sororities who have move emotional stability than you. I don't care what way you swing, at least grow a pair and get a grip little man.

  • @shardsofsteel If you only knew haha.

  • @sameshitdifday Excuse me? Maybe you can get away with talking to you're boyfriend like that, but not me. You are lucky you have the security of hiding behind you're computer. Although you may have the mentality of a woman, you are not one and therefore it is mighty acceptable for me to lay down the shit kicking that a fudge packer with you're active mouth deserves. If you want me to shut my mouth then stop replying acting like some sort of tough gay... Whoops I meant guy. Simple as that.

  • @sameshitdifday If I am so irrelevant, then why did you take the time to comment on my post. You have become quite an obstacle on my youtube account, and I am sick of hearing you're pro gay bullshit. So unless you have something educated to state that is a little less breif, then save us both some time and consume a fat dick. Thanks.

  • @sameshitdifday Or what bitch? Why dont you try and make me shutup, so I can lay you the fuck out clown.

  • @sameshitdifday Less of an assumption, more of a benefit of the doubt. Would you like to know why: Because Homosexual men enjoy taking it in the ass. So pardon me, for not immediately jumping to a homosexual assumption. Not really the first thing that crosses my mind. So eat a dick, seems like you might enjoy that.

  • for 1250 this dude should go take a lady out and possibly get laid.

  • for 1250 bucks ill make my own

  • They sell these in Georgia (state) for 800.00

  • $1250 ??? fuck that shit ridiculous

  • Again guys "THEORETICALY" It's an over priced peice of shit for plastic you strap to your feet :]

  • I've read that you're constantly having to fight the drag with this fin. Seeing how the feet are attached to the fin, it's no wonder.

  • The lunocet was reviewed on the deeperblue net website some time ago - you can find the review in the freediving equipment section - four of us took the fin to Dean's Blue Hole.

  • i free dive all the time and i would kill for this! omg my monofin was a huge improvement over my bifins but it was like 100$... breaching water would b siiiiick

  • Can you buy one? WHERE? :D

  • Has anyone tested this product, can anyone tell me about the difference from standart hyperfin?

    Now a little lyrics concession.

I doubt that you can achieve 10 mph. Dolphin's speed is 22 mph (I hope that anyone can see the difference between human's dough-like body and the ultimate swimming machine with millions years of experience).

  • I have and several other divers tested the version just after the one this guy is talking about.

  • Comment removed

  • you could make those ur self

  • as far as I know there is only one thing that determines your speed with a monofin: the quantity of water you move. and that's determined by the surface of the monofin and it's rigidity. that thing doesn't have netiher a big surface, nor a strong resistance against water!

  • ifn te good lord hada wanted us ta swim heda given us flippers

  • if the good lord wanted you to preach on the internet, he would have taught you English.

  • i want one SO bad. but $1250? i don't want it THAT bad... :-/

  • who said 1250$ normal fins(not this freaking kind) kost 500-600 $

  • I ordered a lunocet monofin and never received it after multiple promises/excuses from Ted Ciamillo. I ended up having to dispute the charge with my credit card company after a classic "your check is in the mail" final promise that a refund was coming. BTW, the check never arrived but thankfully my credit card company was very supportive of my dispute. Bottomline.... BEWARE!!!!

  • The inventor took quite some time to get my Monofin to me but he still delivered when I threatened to cancel the order! Dude that was not cool but I paid and waited and waited... that guy has a good invention but just needed to speed up production! I will forgive him since the fin seems to be a winner. The gear is good! That guy is just plain slow!

IF YOU PLACE AN ORDER BE READY TO CRACK A WHIP!

  • Well, I'm glad you got your order. My problem wasn't the delay as much as the apparent lies. If he said up front, expect 6-12 weeks for delivery then I would be okay with that (which I explained to Ted). Instead, he immediately charged my card and started telling me to expect it "end of next week" several times. BTW, the refund check still hasn't arrived. I can tolerate slow but dishonesty is completely unacceptable.

  • You are absolutelly right ! and he did the same to me too. but being an artist myself I figured that I not rush the order in any way.. of course he took way too long so I had to threaten to cancel the order and he sent it 3 days later. This fin is quite a workout and unusually bouyant.I had to wear 4 pounds just to cancel out this It may take time to master it and would rather trust in my Finis monofin for a really deep freedive. I want to film a speed run and compare against my old Monofin.

  • Yeah, I like my Finis trainer II for swimming around the cove behind my house. Hopefully Ted gets these into stores and I can walk out with one immediately after I pay for it. Would still love to give it a try.

  • I put on my old Finis Competitor monofin and for a moment it seems as if it was not digging into the water like the Lunocet... It is too flexible and you will have to remember that both types have different characteristics!

Lunocet is stiff and seems to be gripping the water- It may seem hard but you will get used to the transition.

  • You don't move with this!

  • "Theoretically" Translation "In your imagination"

  • lets see it in action

  • 1250$? .... suck my balls

  • @azzazel I want one now *Looks at price* Okay, ill come back in some years.

  • @azzazel You're not an elite freediver. Go get some $15 kiddy shit until you're good enough for these.

  • @aldraw neither stupid for paying that insane quantity for that "cheap" product

  • @azzazel High performance comes at high price regardless of the product. How much do you think an F1 car costs compared to the piece of shit you drive?

  • needs moar vince from shawmom

  • looks clunky and junky. if it was good they would have shown it in action.

  • There are lunocet videos, just look 'em up. They're pretty neato.

  • wow this guy is horrible for product reviews of any kind.

  • I think if I could get that I get that I could actually push myself out of the water- Breach!

Also any one under the right conditions of peak body wieght and strength should be able to do it if they are trained and have this device!

  • i'll wait for the price to be in the low hundreds.

  • 10 miles per hour, WOW. Waiting for the new world records....

PS: I have serious doubts about even 8 mph they claim on their site. Because it's also better than current record...
