Personally I don't think there's a point in calling it cheating cause the only people they are really "cheating" are themselves because thruster based ships while more difficult to build are ultimately better in capability and motion. Shuttles and hoverballs really just limit your capabilities.

he used a shuttle entity, you should just be able to approach the front of it and press E.
