  • Does anyone have a torrent for an album of theirs???

  • @nattenshora I don't think so... I suggest you buy one, it's worth the money and it's good to support barbershop music.

  • Best part of this is that it's not mixed or produced or anything. It's a simple camera and it's sh!t microphone. AND IT STILL RULES! Wonderful post, thank you.

  • I'm in my high schools choir and was just a workshop type thing with 600 other high school guys, and Crossroads was the group working with us. We also got to hear them sing for us. It was so awesome getting to work with these guys

  • awesome

  • The song was actually written by Merle Travis.

  • Did his Jim's voice just have sex with me?

  • Wow! Atta boy, Jim Henry! What a bass!!!

  • @brenchdawg He's baritone, not bass. ^-^ He's not QUITE low enough, my subwoofers don't vibrate hard enough to shake my house noticeably... Try the version by The Platters, THAT man's a bass...

  • @NoataRikuSoraKairi89 Did you just say that JIM HENRY is not a bass? Oh my god...

This is a barbershop quartet, in which there are four parts - the lead, tenor, baritone, and bass. Jim Henry is the bass of this quartet (Crossroads, 2009 International Champions), and was also the bass of the Gas House Gang (1993 International Champions). The baritone of the quartet is Brandon Guyton, who is standing on the far right. Even if we were talkin in classical terms, Jim's last note is a D#/Eb...

  • @NoataRikuSoraKairi89 ...which EASILY fits into the category of "bass". And even without going into that much detail or analysis, just from listening to his voice you can tell that he is a bass. A fun fact for you: Jim Henry is regarded by many as the best bass in the entire Barbershop Harmony Society.

To put it much more simply, Jim Henry is a bass, and one hell of a bass at that.

  • @NoataRikuSoraKairi89 A baritone would have a bit of trouble with that low Eb at the end. Technically, maybe his voice is bass-baritone. But its barbershop...so he's one hell of a bass.

  • Wowza!!!

  • omg pavarotti's alive again :D

  • goose bump city! especially the tag! well done guys=>

  • this is just as good as when he was with GHG. I love this!

  • I sang this song for my high school in 04' this brought back some memories....I was even the bass lol

  • wow that bass is unbelievable....he's my second favourite bass next to peder jalkeus in the real group....

  • anders jalkeus even!!

  • this is awesome =) <3 i love the reharmonization!! this made my day

  • =-) i <3 this 4tet

  • As an old barbershopper, this brings back many happy memories. These guys are good

  • Ah, I love you guys! Best I've found yet!

  • Wow! They are just awesome. I bet they're freaking amazing live.

  • God! The acoustics!!! AHHHH!!!!! Too much echo, but a good performance

  • Yeah, well this was actually kindof a last minute thing they practised 'cause they were "running out of" songs. :D

  • Ah, well knowing them they call pull off a lot of songs with less practice than usually needed.

  • I don't know if I like this one or the original from the 90's with the Gas House Gang-but the both have one thing in common that rock-Jim Henry
