  • This guy made me laugh so hard on the most shittest of days, legend of Buzzcocks. R.I.P.

  • Athleston got a bigger round of applause than Edwin Starr. Fantastic!

  • This has taken my breath away. I can't stop laughing.

  • Edwin Starr was number..FOUR - HUUHHHH - GOOD GOD Y'ALL! (RIP both him and Athelston.)

  • You know I really wish they'd made a bigger deal of this. He died and virtually no-one knew yet he contributed so much more to the music on a deeper level than whatever Cheryl Cole has done or ever will do.

  • I always wanted them to find something he'd done and then it would finally be him.

  • I miss him

  • i think that was the only time i've ever seen a star being born.

  • @discreditor It's certainly the only time I've ever seen a stare being born.

  • @kisbie ba dum choo

  • What episode was the second one (the one with Rick Wakeman)?

  • There are three moments from buzzcocks that will always stick in my mind, one is mark ripping into chris moyles right at the start of the show, two is someone in the parade coming out in feather leg warmers and mark doing a foghorn leghorn impression and the third is "or number 5, number 3!"... leg-end.

  • He's in heaven now.

Scaring the SHIT out of God.

  • was trying to get in touch for ages

  • this guy was my grand dad only meat him 1s only fond out he was dead when i looked on the web cuz i know he was a actor or something

  • thankyou you so much for this x

  • Athelston got a bigger round of applause than edwin starr. But he was very professional.

  • Brilliant =D Until this compilation I'd never seen him move smile or speak.

  • A good tribute to a great man. had some good times watching him on NMTB.

Very sad that he has gone, Athelston may you rest in peace!

  • I didn't know Athelston had died or that he'd been that old. He was really funny. Bless him

  • Faye Tozer :) *rubs knees*

  • RIP man had some good laughs because of that guy

  • Somewhere in heaven, Athelston is watching us all...

  • And hasn't blinked once.

  • fucking legend.

  • It's strange that he worked for an agency that specialised in ugly/odd-looking models because he's actually quite handsome when he smiles

  • rest in piece Athelston,

    pure Deadpan, simplistic genius

  • long live athelston, the best person for comedy positioning

    :), R.I.P

  • he died??? ah thats bad! miss that guy!!

  • Ha, I remember that guy.

  • P.S, legend for putting these clips up

  • i cant believe he died, he was a comedy legend in hisown right. god bless.

  • Huh? When did he die? I thought he was still alive...

  • apparently he died of prostate cancer, i dunno if its true tho,.

  • Aye, it's on 'athelston tribute 3' someone post that they were his daughter and that he died, however I'm a tad suspicious of it

  • Don't be suspicious Tap..it's true.

  • Thanks for this, always loved the Athelston stuff
