This incident has left a very ambivalent shock to some generations in Japan, by the fact that the perpetrator, who was considered himself as a kind of 'victim' of the 'dark period' in Japan after the collapse of the economic bubble (after 1990), couldn't find the exit from his frustrated situations, except in murdering the people belonging principally to the same generation.
