You're right 99% of the time but there are a couple decent Rap Musicians. Bone Thugs for instance stay in key and on time as singers and produce most their own beats and melodies in the studio.

Then you have rappers that are just Lyricists, that's all they can write and they have a hard time even staying on a beat much less in the same key. They're okay with decent producers.

Then you have most mainstream rappers that are just like "lol a venture capitalist made me famous"
