  • This is put together rather well.Alot of people don't realize that Pat Boone has been famous since the 1950's.As a teen idol-he was probibly the equivalent to Bieber. No i'm not a Bieber fan.

  • Despite of it´s lame sound the background is amazingly tight. Professional musicians. some people took this far too serious back in the 80s. Blamed poor old Poone with satanism etc.

  • Excellent arrangement. I would be interested in knowing who the band and/or director is. Anyone?

  • @ThatsMrMoronToYou , there's a different arranger for each number. It's an all-star studio band. Each arranger was given 2 hours, I think, to record their chart live to 2-track. Don't know who did this chart but Tom Scott wrote the one for Smoke on the Water, and Sammy Nestico did Stairway to Heaven. I suspect that the Tenor soloist on this cut is Plas Johnson. Pete Christlieb and Don Menza were also involved.

  • @drfligo Tom Scott of LA Express?

  • 10 people had it coming!

  • yea baby

  • Killer arrangement for this song!

  • since they took the original f'n vid off youtube, i guess ill replace it with this in my playlist

  • ok let's face it-anyone could sing what he sings on these remakes. The unsung heros are the bad ass band and who ever wrote the bad ass orchestrations..killer!

  • I'm laughing my ass off to this. It's definitely different.

  • Pat Boone is a bad ass!!

  • We're all mad

  • Ha!

  • Good for a laugh or two, like tom jones singing sex bomb. Heck, it's a mystery to me why David Hasselholf it big in Europe singing hooked on a feeling, but if makes you feel good do it, I am the last person to tell what some one what to do as long as it does not harm to anyone else, as long as I get the same respect in return.

  • Great cover. Not even a genre I'm really interested in and still, AWESOME.

  • amazing

  • Two things: First, this proves that good music can be adapted to any style. Second, it takes a lot of balls and openmindedness for a 63 year old man (in 1997) known for being a clean-cut Christian to cover a Judas Priest number. Think about it for a minute. Personally, I find this really cool. Now, what would be even cooler is a cover of "Love letters in the sand" or "Moody River" by Judas Priest!

  • @zzzut AMEN!!!

  • You know what, If you can't appreciate what Pat Boone did on this album then you are a fucking poser.

  • Pat Boone is so much better now than he was in the 60s. He made me shudder and I have avoided hearing him until moments ago. This really good stuff. I have to catch up on his other work now.

  • ROFLMAO at hearing Pat Boone and watching Judas Preist at 2:01... ROFLMAO

  • Say what you want about Pat, denigrating your heroes here. He stuck to promoting this thing when the TBN geeks, kicked him off the network for doing the album. I gained a NEW respect for the man for that. They got another thing coming, when they screw with him.

  • Hey, great job sync'n the music and the video. Hilarious!!

  • Seven people are thinking like a fool.

Artists like Ronnie James Dio and Ritchie Blackmore -I'm not really sure about the last one.- took part in this album. I believe that if Ritchie and Ronnie thought it was a good idea, it should at least be respected.

  • I think I might have a Pat Boone nightmare tonight.

  • Great job syncing the two pieces together. It works well indeed...

  • Such Blasphemy!

  • Wow, all you "fans" are mad about this cover? I think it's rather good myself, and I'm a Priest fan. Very catchy.

  • @Ham701 I'll tell you why I hate it. Pat Boone has been a rip-off artist and a sell out his whole entire career. He used to do versions of black artists songs in the 50's and 60's because a lot people didn't want to buy a black mans album back then. He is an uncreative hack who profited from racism and bigotry. I usually like covers that take a song in a completely direction. But I doubt Pat Boone has any understanding of metal and did these metal covers just to make a quick buck.

  • @PureVolume707 Actually Alice Cooper encouraged him to do it, and Dio appeared on the album doing backing vocals on Holy Diver so have a word with them for supporting a racism and selling out while you're at it

  • Rob would be "Screamin for Vengance" right now??...How sad?? Pat.....stick with the fluffy music somewhere else??? Maybe in your private bathroom??? You don't have a clue about "Heavy Metal Music"?????

  • Someone shoulda shot Pat Boone with a ball of Rob Halford's shit for this

Funny how the homosexual sounding vocals are dubbed over the homosexual Rob Halford's image tho.

Homosexual or not Judas Priest was awesome!

  • This is why covers should be illegal.

  • Man, has Halford's voice changed over the years!

  • LOL this is some funny shit! You gotta give Pat props: at least he knew the lyrics! And to put it together with the original video, classic!

  • OMG. I actually tapped my foot to this one. Does that mean I have to hand in my leather buttless chaps?!?

  • @MildlyAnnoyedAHM Now that is funny!!

  • ROFLMAO That was brilliant, putting it together with the Priest video. I esp. enjoyed listen to the horns come off the guitar solo. We're not worthy. Thanks.

  • totally fun and inspiring,His versions of all these heavy songs should be heard by all.Iwould love to see this live on a world tour, sooo much fun

  • Awesome !!

  • Good stuff!

  • too funny X-D

  • Such a bad@ss!

    ~

  • Beautiful.
