  • so that's how adele does it !

  • This is natural methane, not natural gas. Nat gas wells are thousands of feet below the water table. Do some research.

  • It's not just the well water being bad. The air and ground is contaminated also by the drilling with some pretty nasty chemicals. Yes I agree let's get less dependent on foreign oil but lets not kill millions of Americans to do. I'm glad I don't leave by a natural gas well because would blow it up rather then breath in benzine 24/7.

  • I saw this at school and everyone in the class were stunned :D

  • @Ograws ugs sustaining a planet?

  • @icwutudidtharlulz ugs? what does that mean?

  • Methane gets into water naturally too....it's also not toxic. PS natural gas is twice as clean as coal, would create hundreds of thousands of jobs and decrease our dependence on foreign oil.

  • Why in the hell don't people living in these areas where this is going on banding together to try to stop this problem. DO SOMETHING........

  • Free gas supply... sweet

  • Varg Vikernes's arson days just aren't the same.

  • GASLAND

  • @KyuubiNaruto1337XD

    You can get a lot of information looking at the standard document for chemical safety, the material data safety sheet (MSDS). Methane has a very low toxicity and is a "simple asphyxiant" (like any gas other than oxygen is). The "high amounts" need to be flamable (>5%) are not enough to do this (even if they didn't just occur near the faucet).

  • @drdavidpsummers0

    If there is methane in the water, what ELSE is in there?

  • This is show and very little substance...

    The video shows good evidence that natural gas is in the water. OTOH, methane can be a fire hazard, but it isn't that toxic (you produce it in your farts). The idea that this is any evidence of other chemicals used in fracking just doesn't follow, it is easy for methane to get into places the other chemicals don't get to.

  • @drdavidpsummers0 your body can't process methane, and in high amounts to be lit on fire like this is most certainly deadly when breathed in for a period of time.

  • I seen this video on the show the dr's gave me insight on how bad the water in this country is because of big companies dumping chemicals in the water we are getting ill and sick from it to the point it is killing us. This makes me realize no water in this country is safe not to use at all not to bathe in or cook or to give to your pets or to give to you or your kids. Thanks for the video and for posting it to!

  • I can fap to this!

  • i saw this in colbert report :D

    thumbs up if you did too

  • IF HYDROFRACKING TURNS MY SINK INTO A FLAMETHROWER...IM ALL FOR IT...

  • okay im going to the store to buy some bottle water.be back in a sec.

  • HELLO.... AND I MUST TELL YOU THAT WOULD REALLY PISS ME OFF...```

    ```
    tHAT IS NOT GOOD AT ALL... THESE SCUMBAGS DOING THIS
    ```

    TO AMERICA....THEY SHOULD ALL BE TRIED FOR TREASON

    ``` FOUND GUILTY AND HUNG UNTIL FUCKING DEAD...
  • wait so youre telling me i can wash my vegetables AND grill them at the same time? God bless this world
  • Fracking started in Blackpool Lancashire in March. They've had 2 earthquakes since.
    This is the North of England: we DO NOT GET EARTHQUAKES.
  • Now run the shower and put a lighter next to it.
  • Flammable Tap Water.
    Thanks Dick.
  • Don't drink and burp Period
    "Bender" - futurama
  • holy fuck
  • Natural gas is natural. Learn to live with it you bunch of commie tree huggers.
  • @juslookin3 yea your right flamable water is apart of nature. i thought those people love nature. by the way im being sarcastic and please tell me that you were too
  • @juslookin3 Just because natural gas is produces naturally does not mean that the chemicals that we use to extract it are natural (or safe for that matter)...Its amazing how far up your ass your head must be if you see Water that you can set on fire (which is not natural or safe in case you were unsure on that one) and still make an argument that "natural gas is natural (and by extension safe)".... Id suggest you go to the homes near fracking areas and drink the water...wake up
  • @juslookin3 either that or you're trollin...in which case I say, well played sir
  • OMG.............. That's Insane!!!!
  • HOLY SHIT!!! perhaps you should use this water as fuel.
  • Argue if you want, but point blank, this is what happens because of Reagan's deregulation-mania. Corporations can do whatever the hell they want to to make money, and we don't know what poisons are in the water we drink, the food we eat and the air we breath. We HAVE to bring back regulations that protect the public good.
  • @ankharris businesses don't have incentive to bring you water you can actually drink?
  • @Spalg - business has only one incentive, and that's to turn a profit by any means necessary. They don't care if they put a faulty or even deadly product on the market. Did you know that bottled water has been tested to have arsenic in it? The plastic also leeches chemicals into the water over time that resemble estrogen, so men who drink a lot of bottled water have begun to grow breasts. That same chemical is also a carcinogen.
  • Methane is a gas, it wouldn't linger in the water supply unless it were actively being added through fracking. There have been no documented cases of natural gas getting into water supplies without fracking. Literally the gas is seeping up so fast that the bubbles don't have time to escape before even more gets into the water, kind of like soda carbonation. Open soda goes flat inside a few hours, so you can imagine how fast the gas is getting into this water.
  • Democrats or Republicans didn't cause the housing problems, they BOTH DID !!
    by removing the firewall - Glass Steagle Act of 1933 with Graham Leach Bliley in 1999... allowing all the BANKSTERS to participate in Mortgages.. MORTGAGE BACKED SECURITIES.. SEE Thomas Jefferson's Quotes about Banker's controling America's money supply...
  • @ConservativeNRA That coupled with the 'derivitive market'. I say if you loan somebody somewthing, you shouldn't get the chance to sell off that contract to another. It is like finding the gullible on both ends and you can walk away from it all with huge pockets of cash as the result, leaving those two you* just ripped off to fight it out.
    *Generalize 'you'.
    Capitalism without credit is a bust.
  • Tittytat, why won't the companies tell us what chemicals they're using to do the drilling?
  • please vote democrat! this video highlights Republicans siding with Big Energy Corporations by having Natural Gas companies be exempt from the Clean Water/Air act of the 70's.
  • @redSHIFT69 Democrat? WTF? They single handidly caused the housing crash as well as the stock market crash and the modern depression. Are you fucking stupid? Also, why not check into how much stock your messiah Hussein Obama has in natural gas companies and his payoffs he gets from lobbyists. Hussein Obama is the biggest corporate gangster this country has ever seen.
  • @tiitytat Why do you focus on Obamas middle name as if it connected him to being a muslim? Why not focus on his jewish Barak name? So typical of you to run with a talking head point.
    Don't get me wrong, I want that unqualified poser out of office and locked up in a fed penn for his serious fraud. He accepted student aid for college that is designated solely for foreign students, and he was qualified to get that student aid.
  • thumbs up if your here from maddow, lol
  • Yep. This is real. And it's terrifying.
  • its real watch Gasland on HBO and if you live near where they are drilling for natural gas you better check your water
  • 100% real. From a new HBO documentary on the subject. Watch it dummies.
  • NOT FAKE. contamination of drinking water by natural gas causes this. The natural gas drilling companies don't want people to know what they're doing to these people.
  • @xenon1919 Frackin for profit. Funny how that all works out,,, private profits public risks.
  • @xenon1919 Jesus! And we have Republican candidates saying they want to get rid of the EPA!! Forget that, somebody give the EPA more power and put them to work!!!!
  • @xRichardbersteinx ..You are an idiot...
  • LOL! Next time try not to burn your hand.
    And this is suppose to be a normal home video? fuck it even has a webpage
  • yeah drilling for gas in aquifers doesn't happen at all
  • @grolgh yea well its happens in others places where water gets washed away from and drains into the aquifer and then we drink it
    drill baby drill=kill kill kill
