    I can build the engine to push the car down the track. I can think of several setups that would perform low 12's. But, wanting to keep an L series engine, I will end up with something very similar yo your setup.

    What rear end are you running? Suspension?

    Thanks for any advice. New to tweaking Z's.

    A 12 second Z would piss all the Vette's, Porsch, and Lambo owners off. Stock ones any way.

  • I am on hybridz often, no document of the build, however I would be happy to give advice if any is needed. This was not a very hot setup realy. was having to shift at the latest 5K due to a very poor tune. Also was spinning 1st gear. Car only did 197 rwhp & 285 rwtq. The setup on the car now(that should have been running last night) should have not much problem laying down around 400rwhp!!!

  • how hard is it to use megasquirt? any harder than other standalones?

  • mega squirt is a breeze. setup is most importaint though. make sure you have a wideband, this is not optional! dont let anyone tell you otherwise.

  • nice z man. hey, what kind of block(f54 dished top or flat top?) and head are you running? running 12's @12psi is a nice setup.

  • just a stock 280zx turbo motor. intercooled 440 injectors, megasquirt, stock rb25det turbocharger.

  • Actually i was. I traveled//raced at most every major track on the east of the US from florida, 2 in canada, PA., maryland, out to St. Louis and many tracks between. I won a IHRA national in my class in 2005 at st. louis, took three track championships, semi finaled at Milan Dragway's mopar nationals 05 (was the last race i ever ran). and won hundreds of races.

    So care to me down on being not professional? Dont be so quick to judge, i was only throwing some comments out for improvement.

  • very sweet car, work on your reaction times a bit though... ...seen a lot of green before you moved. I normally deepstage and leave about midway-toward the end of the third bulb to get in the low .520's (or .020's depending on how the slip reads)

  • i would never deepstage. I prefer a prestage. this was only my second pass of the night on some skinny 205-50-15s. was consentrating only on traction and nit the light. just wanted to make sure I did not red light. i am usualy well below .100. hope to get it back to the track soon.

  • thats my z and I would not know the power at the tire as it has never been dynoed, besides it is on the back burner right now since it is beginning to get warm and I just aquired an 89 240sx. best 60 ft is 1.70
