  • Great video and very well put together! Very professional. =D

  • Great video,,,im new with dslr n just bought upgraded to t3i,,very helpful!!! Thank u

  • which setting are u using? A, P, AV?

  • Great help, plain English

  • How come when I shoot videos on my t3i and play it back on the camera it's fine? But when I play it back on my laptop it's kinda choppy and skipping?

  • a new fan; i just got me a 7d, my buddy only show in raw; he tells me that there is a big difference between raw and jpeg. i do lots of research and found no difference, other than bigger file sizes that takes up lots of spaces. by the way we shot car photo.

any help will be fine, should i shoot in raw only or in jpeg?

    thanks

  • @bitemegumby I do have a video that discusses the difference between shooting in JPEG and RAW. It boils down to preference and need. There is a time and a place to shoot both. If your shooting cars, then I would assume your doing a decent amount of post on them. If so, then I would suggest you shoot RAW. There are noticeable difference between the two. However, difference are more noticeable during post. Hope this helps, thanks for watching!

  • this video has been SOOO helpful for me! thank you for explaining this information so clearly!

  • @Nikcholey Thank you for watching!!!

  • can someone explain to me how to open the aperture all the way up while filming?

  • @pokemonhat what camera are you using to film? Full manual feature is only available on some cameras.

  • @KreativeVueTV canon t3i

  • this was helpful but its still hard with a film camera

  • Thanks so much for this video! It meant a lot for my photography course! I subscribed to your videos, they are so cool and really easy to understand! Thanks again!

  • i enjoyed man its dam cool.......

  • thank you for doing these tutorials.. im new to dslr & this has been very helpful...

    cheers..

  • This was SO helpful thank you so much !!!

  • Is there a way to increase the speed of shooting (not really sure what it's called) On a Canon Rebel T2i?

  • hey! uhm when i set my t3i to Av mode i am just confused why sometimes i can adjust it to F3.5 then sometimes i cant ?

  • @KreativeVueTV i am T2i user with 18-55mm lens..so here the question..why my aperture can only 4.0 minimun?..why it cant go lower than that?..great videos dude and lot of things i can learn..

  • @TheRayz93 The aperature of the 18-55mm at 18mm is 3.5 at its widest and if its not then your lens could be faulty. Bear in mind that at 55mm (fully zoomed in) the aperature will be smaller. e.g. F5 at its largest. In general though you are only restricted by the lens you put on the camera.

  • thumbs up if you have your camera with you while watching this vid.

  • what camere did you use to vedeo and what are the settings

  • when i increase my shutter speed to lets say 1/2500, the picture become very dark. how can i fix this?

  • @TheKangarooguru This is an extremely fast shutter...are you shooting outdoors during the day? Are you shooting in Manual or shutter priority mode? Remember, your shutter controls the duration of light hitting your sensor...the slower your shutter, the brighter your image will be. The faster your shutter the less light will hit our sensor, which will produce darker images. Thanks for watching!

  • @KreativeVueTV i am shooting inside with pretty good light i think. i am shooting in shutter priority mode, but i need a fast shutter to capture my cat.

  • @TheKangarooguru I'm no expert but seen as no one is answering this for you I'm going to try. Try think how you can increase the light on the shot. Increase the ISO, use a flash, exposure balance and use a wider aperature. If you are zoomed in then the shot will probably be quite narrow in comparison to a shot zoomed out.

  • @simon44 thank you so much for replying!

  • @TheKangarooguru no probs :)

  • @simon44 by narrow I mean your aperature.

  • could u guys explain me the connection between F stop and shutterspeed?

  • @kariim1 Fstop controls the amount of light that comes into your camera and your shutter controls the amount of time the ambient light is exposed to your sensor. Watch the video again as I clearly explain and show you how both relate to each other. Sometimes you have to watch things a couple of times before it becomes clear. Thanks for watching!

  • @kariim1 If you have a fast shutter speed then you need to make the aperature wider to allow in more light to compensate. And vise versa for slow shutter speeds.

  • Superb!

  • I SUBBED!!!, great tutorials!, ill be staying with you than other videos on youtube

  • @LumpyRain Thank you very much for your support, I really appreciate it!

  • Sub'd! been kind of out the photography scene. Just need a little refreshing. Just upgraded to a 7D from a XTi yesterday. Great videos, keep em coming!

  • @TWiSDiT Hold on to that 7D, I've got a tutorial coming up that will help navigate your camera. Thank you for subbing and your support!

  • @KanithaJoys ...AND THANK YOU!!!

  • i subscribed!

  • @CristinaOcampo8 THANK YOU!!!

  • someone wants to buy an picture of an butter cookie I shot for 25 cents is it right???

  • @Ironbat147 NO! Is this an image you have for sale on a website? check out these other websites that sell stock photography and see how much they sell their pictures for.

  • Thank you for this excellent, concise and to-the-point tutorial!! I am buying a Canon T3i with a EF-S 55-250mm f/4-5.6 IS lens for my wife and I this Christmas, and we're both looking forward to taking much better pictures :) Until now i had no clear understanding of these 3 settings.

  • @vidblitz Glad I can help...THANK YOU for watching and your support! Please visit my facbook page when you start taking pictures and share them. MERRY CHRISTMAS!

  • This was very helpful ! :)

  • (Y)

  • thank you for suck a useful stuff :-)))))

  • @tondeo79 Haha...thank you? Kidding, I know what you meant...thanks for watching!

  • i wish you upload your episodes on itunes

  • Brilliant tutorials... keep up the good work

  • @KreativeVueTV Thanks. Will be watching more videos from you. ;)

  • Ok 2 questions, you may have answered already but of course I'm too lazy to look!! lol 1) What lens are you shooting with? Can I do this with18-55mm?? 2)Are these basically the same fundamentals when shooting video?? BTW, awesome video and can't wait to watch them all!! Thank you veeeery much! ;)

  • @QueenzEye We used a 28-70mm f/2.8L. You can accomplish something similar with your lens, but will be a little more difficult due to your f/3.5 aperture and the variable aperture your lens has (3.5-5.6). And yes to your second question. Same principals apply using your aperture and ISO. The only one that will not apply is your shutter. This should stay between 1/50-1/30. Your shutter affects the frame delay when shooting, let's say...@24fps. This is part of what gives you that film look. THX!!!

  • Great video! I am New to this whole photography and I am wanting to buy the Canon T3i which has the 18-55mm lens in the kit, now I wanna know is, is that enough for now, I would mostly use the Camera on trips during vacation, indoors. Would appreciate it. Thanks. :)

  • @shzyfon Hello and thanks for watching! Yes, this is plenty for you right now. This camera will exceed your needs. The 18-55 is good walk around lens as it allows you to get close to buildings, objects and still maintain a wide field of view. It also has a decent focal range of 55mm which can get you close enough without have to be in the middle of it. Now your camera has a 1.6x crop factor, which means your lens focal range is actually 28-88mm. Hope this helps!

  • @shzyfon I'm buying a T3i or T4i soon for that very reason. Its a perfectly capable camera. In fact any more than this and it might be too advanced for a beginner. The T3i is better than the T2i for beginners in my view because its essentially a more intelligent and smarter setup that was designed to assist beginners.

  • very helpful! thanks!

  • I have a question. While your shooting all these images, what mode are you using on your dial... I'm trying to figure this BAD BOY camera out - So I can be PRO-FESS-I-O-NAL!!!! :)))

The intense feeling walking into something you know nothing about - however finding your videos today; "LIFE SAVER" - It was a birthday gift, and I'm a girl coming from - shooting with a Fujifilm Finepix S1600 to a Cannon T3i Rebel < Still in automatic, trying to figure out the flash!!! :(

  • @Vide0zByLeilani Hahaha...this is probably one of the most humorous comments posted on this vid! I was shooting in Manual mode the whole time. Congratulations on your T3i, definitely an awesome camera! I'll be posting a video tonight on using your external flash, this may help you understand what and how flashes work. Thanks for watching and your support!

  • @KreativeVueTV Lol, thank you - I'm glad I can set the mood "Oh so far away" - thank you for responding, and I look forward watching your VIDEOS! :) Bless.

  • Really. This tutorial is very nice thank you boss

  • sir pls try 550d also, im using that one. :(

  • sir what is your background music title?

  • Let me put it this way! This Shit is awesome, Finally Some Pro' In Youtube, Thanks A ton

  • @TheSpoonDesign Haha...Thanks, really appreciate it!!! Lemme know if you have any questions. Take care!

  • @TheSpoonDesign Really. This tutorial is awsome!

  • I have a Fujifilm Finepix S700, can I do all this cool stuff with it? And when you talking about taking pictures and focusing on the subject and making the background blur, how in the hell am I suppose to change the F/5.6, F/11 ect...all I know if the auto button and thats how I get my pictures l0l

  • @dreamNheaven Haha...I know how frustrating that can be! Unfortunately I'm not sure how to access the manual functions on this particular camera. In order to accomplish these blurry background shots, you'll have to zoom in around 100mm and get close to your subject leaving some background in the image (granted you've accessed your manual mode). Try this during the day as it is easier to practice on. Although, for the images you see in the video, it's best obtained using a DSLR. Thx 4 watching!

  • what would be a good wide angle lens for a canon t3i? PLEASE RESOND:D

  • @SuperGirly87 Hello and thanks for watching! I could've sworn I answered your questions about 8 hours ago...damn YouTube! Anywho...i just did a video on this topic. Check out my vid, "Which lens should I buy"? I mention the Tokina 11-16mm f/2.8. This lens is specially designed for your camera. Let me know what you think! Take care!

  • What do you think about Nikon P500 ( Coolpix )

I thaught it was a good starter, later I want a reflex camera,

But for now I thought it would be to difficult for me ,

Do you think the P500 is a good starter?

    Great vids btw :)

  • @sdtje Coolpix p500 camera along with all the other digital point-n-shoots are great places to start if you're just getting into photography. Although, if you really enjoy taking pictures and are serious about learning this craft, then I would bypass the point-n-shoots and move right into an entry DSLR. You'll find yourself, more often than not, asking for more with non DSLR's. However, It's always good to have a point-n-shoot as you may not always want to lug around a DSLR. Thanks for watching!

  • @KreativeVueTV

    Thx for the tip!

    It's really usefull,

    I always loved photography,

but my parents do not accually,

they don't get the point of buying an reflex by example,

what I think is verry pity :(

    But I love you're vids,

    and I keep watching,

and hopefully, I'l get a good camera soon ;:)

  • Hi, I have Just purchased a Nikon D5100 and im new to photography. Your video is very helpful to me. You have put alot of effort to upload the tutorial and I liked the way it is filmed and explained. Im a slow learner and not that familar with the Nikon D5100, I hope you could give some advice in using this camera. Much appreciate

  • @myso08 I'll see what I can do about doing some Nikon tutorials. This is a good camera and performs a little better than most comparable entry level canon cameras in low light environments. Good choice! Thank you for watching and supporting my channel!

  • @KreativeVueTV Hello and that would be great if you could do some Nikon Tutorials. I cant wait :)

and will keep watching your vids. Thanks Kreative Vue Tv

  • @kreativevuetv:What you think about the Panasonic Lumix GH2??

  • @gaurdian2angels The GH2 is definitely on my wish list. It is a very good camera, and in my opinion, comes very close to canon's video quality. Definitely worth a look, if you're interested. Thanks for watching!

  • Hey Guys! Just discovered this video right now!

This is such a help for me and I'm sure it is also for a very big amount of people.

I forwarded your link immediately to a couple of people who will take so much advantage out of this. I'm studying Commercial Photography and I'm doing film basic photo this semester and I've been looking on the web for something like this.! Thanks a LOT for this great contribution!! Really, thank you!

  • @jupitermeteora...Thank you sooooo much for the support and for sharing the vid, means the absolute world! Good luck on your classes, I love commercial photography...good stuff! I'm sure you will and are doing an excellent job! Ya'll should jump on my facebook page and share your pics, your suggestions, techniques as I have a few students that would LOVE to learn from you guys. Look forward to catching up with you some more!

  • I've always wondered why squinting your eyes helps you see farther. I think I finally understand, it is because you are decreasing the aperture of your eyes, thus allowing objects further away to appear sharper! Thanks!

  • @lliang77...you know...that's a real good way of looking at it! Unfortunately, it has the reverse affect on me! Hahaha Thanks for watching and for your comment!

  • Hey kreativue team I really appreciate you taking you sweet time to upload this video.I'm new to photography and this is such a help for me.I have a nikkon coolpix p80 camera.I'm still learning how to use and I would appreciate any type of pointers for the best use of this camera.Plz inbox me if you can thnx again guys.I love your passion for photography.

  • @gaurdian2angels Check your inbox. Thank you!

  • i can change the ISO on my camera, but i don't know how to adjust the aperture, i can see that it is f 2.8, but i don't know how to change it.

  • @meluvsdance Hello, thank you for watching! I'd be glad to help you with your dilemma. What camera are you using, as this will help me gauge what you need to do first.

  • I am looking at purchasing my first DSLR- the canon t3i. The camera comes with the 18-55mm lens, I have the option to bundle it with another lens- either a 55-250mm or a 75-300mm. Which do you recommend? Also, are all the canon lenses IS? Or do they specifically have to say that?

Thanks so much for making these videos!! SO HELPFUL!!

  • @wurdmmrc Hello and thanks for watching! The 18-55 is a more all around lens that allows you a decent focal length of 55mm. This lenses focal range is ideal for landscape, architecture and some portraiture. It does give you a bigger range of scenes you can shoot. However, while the other lenses cover a big range, it still best to keep the 18-55. The IS comes standard on all kit lenses and the lenses do have a switch that enables it, but the IS is not available on all Canon lenses. Thanks again!

  • Very Nice Tips. Thanks.

  • Thank you sooo much! This is the video I've been looking around for :D

  • @xiaorishu No, no...thank you!!! Glad I can help you along!

  • Nice!!!

  • Wish I had this video when I was just starting out, a good start for beginners definitely, I'd recommend it.

  • @ONIProductionsLtd I wish I found a video that was easy for me to follow and understand when I first started out myself. This is why I wanted to approach it in this manner...thanks for watching!!!

  • Great tips there ! :)

    ~CHJ

  • This is very helpful, I wonder if you guys offer like a course on location, if so where is this located. I'm very interested.

  • @ChillOutExpresso Thank you for watching and especially the friend invite! I'm currently working on a few meetups around California, as I've been asked to do quite a few. Where are you located? I would like to attempt more meetups overseas like the one I have in February 2012 in Australia. Hope to talk to you soon, thanks again for you support, means more than you know!

  • @KreativeVueTV are you planning anything in Europe? Frankfurt/Germany / quite central - cheap flights from everywhere?

  • really cool vid

  • Nice video but the intro clip is too long. 5sec or less would be nice instead of the 20+ sec so you dive right into the actual video :)

  • @76ers Thank you for your feedback, I have made adjustment to the intro in later videos, unfortunately this is already set in stone. Thanks for watching, really appreciate it!

  • I am purchasing a Nikon Coolpix, Is the Nikon Coolpix a good beginner photography camera? I can't purchase a more expensive one, thanks.

  • @thisbrokensoulx Which Coolpix camera are you referring to? Coolpix cameras are really not what I would suggest to someone that wants to move into photography as a serious hobby. But if you would like to start with this, then I can definitely help you out.

  • @KreativeVueTV I believe it's the Nikon Coolpix L120 14.1 MP.

  • Very good video...the most useful I found on youtube! Thanks!!!

  • You are a boss at explaining... first time I'm watching this channel. THANKS MAN!

  • Thank you for this video. It's very helpful for a beginner like me. I watched it about 10 times. The sampe pictures you took to show the difference in ISO, Aperture, shutter speed was PERFECT!!! I will definitely have fun with my new T3i.

  • Hi

Just bought a canon T3i and thinking about returning it,but i found your videos,so I'm going to give a try...

    Thank You

  • @SoniaCFP DON'T GIVE IT BACK!!! Haha...I'm glad I helped encourage you to keep your camera! Watch my other video and you'll understand your camera in no time! I can't wait to check out your images. Make sure you jump on my facebook page so I can help you on a more personal level. I can answer a lot of your questions there! Take care and thank you for watching and supporting!!!

  • I have really enjoyed watching your videos. I've been looking at a new camera and couldn't decide between a bridge or DSLR but these videos have made me decide on giving the DSLR a try! I'm in the UK but have a friend close to that Joshua Tree place, maybe i'll get to shoot there one day.

  • @turrican1900 YOU MUST! If you do, let me know as we can meet up! Let me know how your purchase goes...BEST OF LUCK TO YOU! Thank you for your support, I very much appreciate it!

  • @KreativeVueTV Thanks for the offer and taking time to reply! I just got back from the store with a Nikon D3100 and i'm seeing what i can do with it, keep the great vids coming.

  • @KreativeVueTV AWESOME!!! Can't wait to hear your initial reaction to your new DSLR. Take Care!

  • Thank you very much for your advice , the problem is I am living in Jordan and the agency doe n't supply the buyer with high speed cards and I had a hell of a time to find a 32 gb which turned out to be a chines made I n few days I'll be going to Egypt , I might find it there , regard to Amazon it require a Master charge and to be honest with you I prefer not to use in buying through the net . thank very much again best regard Mike

  • @aziaimage No problem, let me know how it turns out! Thanks for your support!

  • I know all this ,but one thing I dont under stand why my 60d stops after running for 42 second of shooting. could you tell me why

  • @aziaimage Hello and thanks for watching either way! Your problems sounds as if your memory card may not be fast enough. Although it may be good enough for pics, it will not serve you well for video. Visit Amazon or similar to review and purchase a SDHC 16/32GB class 10 card.

Hope this Helps, let me know how it turns out...Thanks again!

  • THANKS EVERYONE for your awesome feedback! I'm thankful that you have all found these tutorials to be so helpful. Hope you all jump on my facebook page and share some of your photos. Thanks again for you comments and feedback!

  • finally someone that explained this shit without over complicating it. You made it simple and easy to follow really thank u bro.

PS your google + link is not working

  • @fymz89 Hey bro, thanks for watching and for the heads up. However, I've tested the links and they seem to be working fine. Which link are you clicking on specifically? thanks again

  • @KreativeVueTV The google + link it takes me to my homepage not your page and i tried looking for Kreativevuetv and nothing it said no results found :(

  • @fymz89 Thanks sooo much for giving me the heads up with this. I finally figured out the problem and the looks should now work. Thanks again, really appreciate the feedback!!!

  • You are very welcome!! Seriously thank you loads I spent so much time or should I say wasted time on other videos related and ended up prob more confused than before I started. With your video I watched it once and walah!! =) I don't have a Facebook but i do follow you on twitter. I will inbox you my prof i do share shots i have taken on there but they have all been taken with my IPhone since i recently saved enough money for my SLR wooo whooo !! sorry for writing a book lol

  • @GLAMMUAFAB Please, no apologies needed! I probably write more than anyone on YouTube...haha! I'm super thankful for your support and I'm ecstatic to know that you clearly understood me! I am definitely following you on twitter! I look forward to chatting with you there!

  • Wow finally some one who describes in detail !! Thank u soo much this vid is very helpful!!

  • @GLAMMUAFAB Can't begin to tell you how thankful I am for your comment and support! Hope you honor me with seeing some of your images on Facebook! The link is in the description bar of this video. Thanks again!!!

  • me gusta pero seria mejor si colocaras subtitulos en español para entender mas

  • @osuwarudo Voy aver si te puedo ayudar. Voy a tratar encontrar algen que me puede traducir este video. Gracias por su suporta!

  • thumbs up if HowCAST BROUGHT U HERE !

  • This was so good I clicked on an add just because.

  • @WilliamHaynesTV haha...thanks bro!

  • hey can you explain how to do like model photography outdoors? like most of the background is dark but the model is well lit with more than one flash. how can you determine what settings to keep the background dark but still make the model bright and well lit?

  • @HoyFilipinoBoy funny you should ask that, as I'm trying to upload a video right now that follows me a photoshoot where I'm shooting the model against the sunlight. It's not a very in depth explanation of what I'm doing, as it's more of a behind the scenes, but it may have enough info that could help you. If not, just let me know and I'll further explain some details for you

  • what lens did you use for this video?

  • @inoelis I believe we shot with the 24-70mm L series.

  • @mrcoobee sorry for the delay in response to your question. choosing the right will depend on a couple of factors. the first one being is, what kind of budget do you have? secondly, what type of photography will you be doing? however, I will suggest a lens that is budget friendly, excellent image quality, and has medium zoom range - in other words an excellent all around walk-around lens. Tamron 17-35mm f2.8. hope this helps!

  • which lens should i get for my canon t3i??

  • any tutorials for SLR ?

  • really like it

  • can you do a tutorial for the nikon D5000?

  • @TheMrshariqansari I will find someone who has this camera and see what I can do. is there anything in particular that you are looking to learn or did you just purchase this camera and would like to get familiar with the basic functions of the camera?

  • @KreativeVueTV i got the camera about 10 months ago and it took me a while to learn how to use it :P but still i havent been able to get accurate colors in my photos, could you help me with that? :)

  • Thank you VERY VERY VERY much for this video! I myself just got a Nikon CoolPix L120 and I've been messing around with it. I just picked up learning photography as a hobby and self healing for my depression because I find it really helpful.

And I dont always understand what the manual means, as I am more of a visual learner.

Again thank you VERY much ! :)

  • @JuiceBoxLoveX ALSO you can see some of the pictures I take on Blogger , under JuiceBoxLovex - Nature's Beauty

  • @JuiceBoxLoveX Not to sure how to access these images. Could you send me a link in my inbox? Thanks!

  • @JuiceBoxLoveX Thank you so much for your support! I must confess that taking photos is my way dealing with some of the stresses that I come across. It is a very rewarding hobby. I wish you the absolute best in your newly found hobby and I'm honored to be part of your learning process. Thanks again!

  • @MichaelsMac7 As a matter of fact I'm going to be posting a video series called "quick tips" that will show you things such as this. Thanks for the suggestion!

  • Thank you thank you! it sure beats trying to read the manual lol I got the Canon t3i about a few months back and still trying to read the manual but this definitely helps to put A LOT of questions to perspective I'll definitely be taking my camera out more to play with now :) thanks again!!!!

  • @lin481 I feel you! I hate reading manuals myself. Glad you understood and learned some. Let me know if we can be more of assistance to you. have fun!!!

  • @lin481 I just bought a t3i a couple of months ago, its a pretty badass camera.

  • hello i have the d7000 so wear i move the setting i just see the iso

  • @rayjulia What setting are you referring to? If you can give me a little more detail, I may be able to help you. Thanks!

  • @KreativeVueTV hey thanks for the tips i got my eos t3i rebel 2 days ago and happened to find this video

  • Great tutorial! Just got an SLR so I'm looking forward to more videos. Keep up the great work!

  • @chefalamonde Thank you, your support means more than you know!

  • Just purchased the Canon EOS t3i & can't wait to start shooting. Great video & I look forward to watching (& LEARNING) more. Thanks!!!

  • @kristen0128 Hello, I find myself saying this over and over, but congratulations on your purchase...you will love it!!! A lot of my AWESOME subs are purchasing this camera and have emailed me nothing but wonderful things to say about it. I have shot with it a few times and I really enjoy it's performance. What kind of photography will you be doing or do you do? Thanks for the support!!!

  • @KreativeVueTV My primary reason is to start capturing my life & those in it (family, pets, future children etc). I am still very new to adobe Photoshop & need to work on learning the capabilities of pots production. I'm also are interested in cinematography.

  • Great Vid. just got a T3i.

  • @unclestuntman...excellent choice! You will not regret getting this camera. Even after you have advanced and purchased a more advanced camera, you will find yourself still using this camera. Hope you have an awesome time shooting with it. Lemme know if you have any questions...HAPPY 4TH OF JULY!!!

  • @KreativeVueTV Thanks for replying I thought so...I just thought there was something in the editing world that would make the text follow an object and forget the key frames....lol...!!

  • @WHATEVER956...Haha, when you find that plugin let me know!!! Have a great week!

  • Great vid!! So did you use final cut pro to make the text follow your finger? Can that be done in After Effects or any other software? Thanks!!

  • @WHATEVER956...Excellent guess! I did use FCP and yes you can do this using any Pro editing software. all though, I must warn that this is a very time consuming process as it involves key framing. Key framing can take a little to a lot of time, depending on the complexity.
