  • what song is this?

  • something by arch enemy

  • we will rise

  • @metalfukker We Will RIse-Arch Enemy on Rise of the tyrants album i believe

  • @assphinktersaiswhat it's from anthems of rebellion actually

  • @skmetalhead16 Thats right haha cheers

  • @metalfukker

    Song - We Will Rise

    Album - Anthems Of A Rebellion ( Y 2003 )

    Artist - \A/rch \E/nemy

    Thank You =)

  • what kind of settings on an amp would you need to get a sound close to mudvayne on the new game?

  • @metalfukker greg tribet uses the v2 series amp then a dime x2 and a kerry king marshall 800 .i got the hell ya video and he tracks with the randall v2 and x2 and rythem shit hell use thekk jcm800 for punch in ryrhem,i read in a online interview last summer he loves randall valvedynamic heads and never will leave his studio rig and live rig witch both studio and live rigs are the exaact shit ,duh lol

  • The point is: To get 10 different kinds of tone, you'll need to spend 1300€ for the amp and 250€ for each module (European prices). That makes 3800€, and yea, you're right, then you can pick three at once and use them!

I have a fully MIDI programmable amp where I need to buy NOTHING but preamp tubes then and again, which cost me 1350€, and I can pick one of hundreds of sounds in a second - without changing anything or wasting my money.

    Cheers.

  • I mean what the hell? I've been one of those foolish guitarists who believe in Tube sound voodoo.

I must say, today I'm more of the pragmatical type, and I believe in what I hear. A really good solid-state amp can sound better than many tube amps I've heard. The problem is that there are so many shitty SS amps out there.

Of course SS amps have that image of low-budget stuff, but only because many cheap products use the technology.

There are lots of fascinating solid-states out there.

  • I've owned various metal amps, i.e. an Engl, I've sold them all because their metal tone wasn't satisfying. The Ninjas are the first that sound absolutely pleasant in my ears - if you find the right settings, of course.

If anything is the Ninja's strength, it's its versatility. No amp I have ever played, except for shitty modeling amps, can do such convincing, differing tone from one and the same hardware.

The RM100 needs way too much knick-knack to be versatile. I don't need to do anything!

  • Can this amp get you the Carnage guitar sound?

  • Amott used 5150's in Carcass and throughout most of Arch Enemy's albums. He probably used Marshalls in Carnage or maybe he got his 5150 quite early. He started using Randall on 'Rise Of The Tyrant' but now does not use the Ninja series - him and his brother, Chris both use RM100 MTS amplifiers with Randall XL Cabinets with Vintage 30 - 60 watt Speakers. A Gibson Les Paul or Ibanez RG550 into a Peavey 5150 should get you

  • mehh im not keen on the 5150 - too many people use them now. Marshall is going out of metal - players like kerry king, zakk and a few others are the only ones keeping it going. Hope people come back and find out how fucking good marshalls are XD

  • A lot of people still use marshall behind the scenes, that goes for a lot of other people saying they use other amp manufacturers....Rusty Cooley has a signature Peavey but I could bet you a tenner he doesn't record with it...why does he have a signature which he barely uses? Free amps...he can save the good amps for recording...

This isn't speculation, this is fact...What you said about the 5150 is true but why shouldn't you use one? As long as the music you make is original, who cares?

  • too many people are using 5150's? as if you think peavey is more popular than marshall cmon thats all you hear is marshall i mean there relly good amps but even they are going down hill im either goin for a randall or a orange!

  • @ANGRYREDNECKTRUCKER engl is awesome too. an more poeple are actually using 6505s or 6505+

  • he pronounced Amott wrong :P

  • haha the little one looks like it has foil or some cheap materail. go for the head hah

  • i dont care what the damn amp have... just play that shiit!!!

  • sucks that bands go for more and more advanced amps as they progress but they still digress back to that same ol' pro tools stock sound when they record. drums and all. compression sucks dick.

  • @aarondistorted You need compression actually. Levels are jumping up and down especially for a rock/metal band, so they have to be tamed a bit and have the mix sit a little bit more cohesively. Vocals are debatable if they need compression these days because of 24 bit recording. How much compression is a taste thing though, some producers engineers like that squashed sound and others like it more aired out. Most modern metal is WAY too compressed though--little dynamics are left.

  • as far has metal goes, does this have a better sound than the RM100

  • rm100 has some built in effects...v2 is a bone dry amp, the distortions are amazing, run an eq in the effects loop...and a processor for your effects....big time!!!! worth every penny...i run in stereo

  • RM100 doesn't have effects, just an effects level controller...It's one aspect of the amp I was really disappointed with...and I don't think there is enough room to put a reverb unit in the enclosure...you could get a cheap effects processor...I'll probably go with a Digitech GSP1101 \m/

  • No, the randall is driven by four power tubes, three preamp tubes in the effects section and two in each module. The Hybrid amps may be more suitable for people who don't have the money to replace all the tubes every year and a half. But generally the RM100 amps are far more versatile.

  • Haha, you're kidding?? You need to spend more than a thousand bucks for the modules to make the RM100 versatile.

Ever tried the Ninja, playing around with the 6-band EQ? I've found any sound between Pantera and Machine Head. Also, it's got a crystal clear clean sound. It's the best amp I've ever played, and I'm selling my 5150 now for it.

(Blah blah, tubes are better, blah blah.)

  • I don't even have enough characters to shoot you down...The Ninja is a good amp but why the hell do you think 'Amott and Amott' decided to switch to RM100s?

  • i was thinking of the RM120...my bad

  • what song is at the begining?

  • we will rise

  • \m/ Arch Enemy \M/

  • We Will Rise by Arch Enemy

  • how do you switch b/w the clean and dirty channels on the small amp? foot switch or anything?

  • a button

  • the amp comes with a 6 button midi footswitch so you can use all the channesl with the EQ

  • he does

i saw him live yesterday with carcass

    and he use this amp

  • lol they are ALL V2's....they just have different paintjobs..i think theyre sigs are jokes lol. at least kirk hammett got special modules and shit, al they got was the same amp we get in the store, just with their paint and writing.

  • the tubes in the amp are diffrent and the sound modulation is alittle bit hoter

  • LOL!

  • Well i am sorry that i dint know he played for arch enemy! lmao

i thought i was gonna piss some people off so i said what the hell.lol

  • ohhhh cool i didnt know he played in carcass

  • play the fuckin'to hear it.

  • blah blah blah, where is the demo?

  • Yea!!!

  • Well, it is "Gear Spotlight" so it is not big.

But I still would like a live demo...

  • guitarist for arch enemy, watch the video they even say it.

  • I love that knobs!

  • They really hated these amps. Just for the cash they did this ONLY!
