Fantastic cover, I was blown away by the quality. As for the Buckley debate, his Hallelujah captures something Cohens doesn't for me but you might want to check out his Van Morrison covers on live at Sin-é. The Way Young Lovers Do is just... well I can't listen to the Van Morrison version any more.

No cover ever deserves to be considered "better than the original." The creativity Radiohead had to write the song is what sets them apart from people who digitally record voice overs. I hope people wont be so naive as to ever consider a cover better than the original. Dont neglect the creativity!

Cohen's version (original) sounds a little "restaurantly", if i can say so. No doubts that Buckley's version's the best. Guitar, i think, is the better instrument for that song; however, John Cale's cover is great as well, and in my opinion is better than original too.

No offense to Leo Cohen and his fans, we have to give him credit for writing this song; nevertheless, sometimes it happens that you write song for someone else

Oh, come on don't be shy, we all know that not only those but Rufus Wainwright's, Bon Jovi's, k.d. lang's and all other versions are better than original,

Metallica's Loverman is better (not much better), but still better than Nick Cave's original.

Sometimes covers are better, much better than originals but that's not the Radiohead's case.

Wow. I should just not say anything but this is so typical of Radiohead fans. Always ranting about how Radiohed is set apart from everyone else and they are the creative gods and blah blah blah. I love Radiohead but honestly alot of their fans are annoying. Trust me buddy there are alot of covers in this world that are much better than the orginals.

Just because someone sings a song first does not make that version of that song the end all be all. Granted, all covers will be compared to that version but there are many people who have done covers of song that are better then the original. And as far as creativity of the artist, just because they sing it doesn't mean they wrote the song.

I'm a huge fan of Radiohead and nobody's voice is better than Thom Yorkes in my opinion, especially in this song. I haven't heard a single cover I'm impressed with.

So the fact that I heard your version and it echoed in my head for days says a lot - you have amazing talent.

The original of this song has been a favourite if mines for years, and when I saw your posting, I was sure it would be another brave attempt, but, an impossible one.

I've just listened to this for the third time, and am finding it hard to find fault at all.
