  • Hey anyone know if this works in a 2007 RX350?

  • Awesome. Did it in my 2006 IS250.

  • YEAH. THE GOOD OL' PEDAL DANCE.. nice to see a video of some actually doing it.. it took me like 10 tries while trying it my frist time since i was just reading it off a print out.. I was doing it to fast but this shows it perfectly how it's done.. check out my vid for my IS350.. thanks

  • thanksss soooo muchh!!!! i was thinking of getting a sports car just to have fun but now i can in my is250

  • Thanks for the great instructions!

  • anybody know how to do this on a 2007 highlander base?

  • Maybe someone knows how to disable it on gs 450h?!

  • Maybe stupid question but still what about turning it back on? xD

  • @NIKAKO1005 Turn the ignition off and then turn it back on and the system is engaged again. You cannot disable it permanently, once you re-start the car it is back on.

  • For Toyota Avalon: (1) Turn the ignition switch on (IG). (2) Apply the parking brake (Procedure "A"). (3) Depress and release the brake pedal twice (Procedure "B"). (4) While holding the brake pedal down, release and apply the parking brake twice (Procedure "C"). (5) With the parking brake applied, depress and release the brake pedal twice (Procedure "D"). (6) Check that the VSC warning light and SLIP indicator light come on (Procedure "E").
  • what advantages are there for disabling vsc and trc.

  • That way you can get out if you stuck in snow, mud or sand. I tried it myself on 06'Avalon and it helps a lot. The proof: Toyota is putting a button for that in upcoming 11'Avalon.

  • tried it on mrx400h but doesnt work :(

  • i'll try it on my RX400h

  • maybe u know yaris turning off procedure?

  • this works for a 06 is 350..?

  • actually, if you just hold down the TRC button for about 5-6 seconds it will do the same job. I've tried it on an european IS 220d, so it must work one the IS250 as well.

  • But doesn't it come on by itself after you hit a certain speed or something? It did for the 2006/07 model, not sure about the 2009 one.

  • @fifobg IS220d is not equipped with VDIM and this trick is not applicable to our cars. As you said with ours its much easier - just hold the Traction button for 5-6 seconds while the car is not moving and you can do donuts.

  • nvm i just went ahead and tried it instead of waiting for a reply and it worked, thank you!

  • Will this work in an 09 is250? Because there is no button to turn on VSC..only TRC, which comes back on.

Will be waiting for your reply, thank you.

  • 09 has a button i drive 09 is250

  • You are wrong, i drive one as well. The button turns off traction, does not turn of VSC. There is NO button for VSC.

  • This is good to know! The 2007 Camry doesn't have a button at all, so this is how you have to turn off Trac/VSC

  • Or u could push the traction control button! Either way.

  • hey Lexluthor400,

Nah, just pressing the traction control button doesnt work for 2007 IS250's... after a certain speed it just switches on again...thus this pedal dance.. sadly.

  • Yeah I know i just had to say it!

  • FYI...this also works on a 07 Sienna AWD.

Now, I can do snow donuts with the kids (in a safe closed parking lot).

A family guy with a family van needs spirited fun once in a while too you know. LOL

  • lol i totally agree. now snow donuts...that sounds fun... just make sure your kids dont eat any real donuts beforehand.

  • why not just get the is-f and spare the brake dance

  • If you want to turn the vsc off, wouldn't that imply that you are attempting spirited driving. And why would you attempt spirited driving in an automatic?

  • well cars cost a bomb over here...the IS250 is like USD$85,000...its mad. so 1 car has to do everything i guess...

  • Does that also give you 30 continues?

  • How is the consumption like for this car?

  • hi,

is there a SG Lexus Club / Forum ?

  • On my is250 all I do is push and hold the traction off button and vsc turns off.

  • is your IS250 the new year 2008 model? if it is, then it works that way. all pre 2008 models need to do this pedal dance if not after a certain speed VSC cuts back in automatically again.

  • ya mine is a 2008

  • icic thats nice! im guessing there is also more rear legroom due to the redesign of the front seats. enjoy!

  • does it work on a rav4 2005 model?

  • sorry madange1, no idea hmm. rav4 is a vastly different car hmmm

  • i think at the rav you have to do the same that i do at the yaris. First make sure that the handbrake is engaged. 1.Start your engine 2.Push the brake and release it. 3.Push the brake and keep it pussed. 4.Disengage the handbrake. 5.Engage the handbrake. 6.Disengage the handbrake. 7.Engage the handbrake. 8.Release the brake(make sure you had it pussed from step 3) 9.Puss the brake and release it. 10. Puss the brake and release it. Please let me know if that worked.
  • Thanks aggelos for the steps! dont have a yaris, but if i come across one ill try this. thanks!

  • Its all about choice aint it? Unlike you, maybe some of the viewers want to take their car on track and don't need a nanny system to interfere with their track driving (thats right..nanny. so you have never sat in a car more than 20 years old without VSC? probably still being looked after by a real nanny eh?). Guess you are missing the point of sharing via the web.

  • See that is what i have a cheep american car for. Try a shelby mustang gt which only cost so much vs a 42k lexus is 350 with all the trimmings. I think I will keep the nanny system on the 42k car and drive the ford to the track.

  • oh c'mon man.. don't be such a sour grape.. it's not like your being forced to turn it off right? he's just giving us tips to maximise the thrill/fun of driving the car man..

  • sorry for being sour...

  • now come the sweet part.... yum****

  • This WILL turn off VSC and TRC in a '06 IS250. In the '06s just holding the TRC disable button will NOT work. You only see one light come on the dash (at least in my '06) but VSC is certainly off.

When I only hit the TRC button as soon as I get any slip-angle VSC comes in (way too aggresively) and cuts ALL power. No fun at all. Yesterday I was able to slide the car pretty well and 1) VSC never cut power or braked the car 2) I never heard the "beeping" that happens when VSC kicks in.

  • thx for this helpful vid, do u kno if it works on AWD IS 250 models

  • No problem :) Hmm i am not too sure about AWD IS250 models as we do not have that model in Singapore. Ill try and do a check for you though. cheers.

  • ITs also work in TOYOTA Model

  • Shouldn't this video be under exercise videos?

That's cool though, wonder how you figured that out.

  • haha yeah i agree...any more steps and it would qualify as an exercise vid. This cheat code was posted on the internet sometime back...i just took it put it in video format...cant take credit for it haha.

  • Haha I remember doing this, it is so ghetto. But you know that you only turned of TRC not VSC. To turn off both just start the car and hold the TRC button and both TRC and VSC light comes on. Less annoying than the pedal dance LOL.

  • Hmm i was very sure it turned off the VSC too...managed to get some sideways action in the wet with the pedal dance. Any chance you can elaborate on the holding button method? or maybe a vid? hehe thanks.

  • My dad has my digital camera but I'll try to explain as clearly as possible. On the video, only the skidding light came on. For both VSC and skidding light to come on;

    1.turn on the car

    2.wait for check complete

3.near the push button start, there should be a toggle switch (ect, power, snow) and the TRC button. Hold the TRC for about 3-5 seconds and both VSC and TRC light should come on.

    Hope that helps!

  • Thanks! will try that :) Thanks for your comments.

  • that's cool! This remembers me cheats in videogames! XD XD

  • Yeah it does! Totally feels like an Xbox or Daytona arcade game...

  • Disabling has never looked sexier!

Do it barefoot and gimme some music next time!

In all, cheers for the vid dude!!! Thanks!

  • Maybe there should be a series of these vids but in diff footwear (or lack of footwear). Wonder if Lexus is the only manufacturer that makes its drivers do something weird like this.
