Can we all just calm down? Gus Van Sant is amazing. Michael Pitt is amazing. Kurt Cobain was, is, and always will be amazing. This is just how Gus Van Sant portrayed this portion of his life. That's all. It's not boring, you're just being impatient movie-watchers.

if you look at this film as being loosley based on Kurt you should be able to appreciate it more. it's hard to say that i liked or enjoyed this film but i couldnt stop watching. kinda like watching an accident scene. hard to look at but you cant turn away.

He doesn't do jack in the whole movie, but its an accurate portrayal. With long term depression you will find yourself walking around empty parking lots at night or just laying around staring at the sky for way to long. i used to get so bored id drive off down a gravel road and hang in abandoned houses lol.

@MrsJones57 yes that's maybe true and I also think we can see very well in this movie how ill blake is. but for me it was a bit too much of it because there was no action in the whole movie... and there wasn't really a plot...

i think kurt was a genius, but he didn't see himself as a genius. but it's true: if kurt wasn't dead he wouldn't be as famous and as legendary as he actually is.

I think the problem of this movie is that the scenes are always too long and that makes it so boring...

sometimes the camera is just placed at a point and there it stays for the next minutes.

but i've heard something about a new movie about kurt that should show his real life... I hope it will be better than this! :)

@Travlingman36 its not about him as a person, its not even kurt in the movie. its his feelings, it's his final moments that allow us to understand a little more about cobain's thoughts. this isn't an never will they make a movie that will ever show who cobain was as a person. not even dve or krist know truly. he was above us all, and everyone could see that before he died...i dont like the comments bullshitting that his death made him legendary.
