The move to conq badges will have no real effect on the raiding community other than the fact people are going to be wanting to change alts to mains because content is so easy and guilds will make less money selling runed orbs on the ah.

IT IS A GEAR RESET. It's allowing people who just started at 80 around the time 3.2 comes out they can get into end game content even faster.

Yea cuz, 1% drops drop all the time. lol, you cant *gear up* from Emalon or anything in VoA, the chances of you getting more then one peice of tier from there, is about 1%, so you would have to do it 500 times, in order to get your gear respectably.

Tactics are much much easier than Emalon - Stay out of the fire patches, tank and spank - make sure 2 tanks are infront (He has a frontal cone ability that deals 20k damage (before % damage buffs) the same as Auriyaia - but can be dealt with by 2 tanks infront of boss) and to dps him down before his 5% damage increases stacks high enough to do very significant damage to your raid during flame breaths - simple tank and spank, but with 2 tanks infront of boss and raid occasional raid healing.

DK's can use there [Anti-Magic Shell] only take 700 damage each time he uses his aoe on ya so if ya dk you got no reason to die during fight & this should be up right arround each time he uses his aoe. I dont know if this is true for 25 man tho.

i actually tried this boss a few minutes ago.

with my mostly premade set up group we kept on wiping (ok, 2 healers..) we found out that:

1. kite the boss, so the flames dont kill melee.

2. dont let anyone die, death results in him doing 5% more dmg per person

3. he spins around every 25 secs or so, doing about 15k dmg to everyone, if you are standing in a fire during that you are as good as dead.

4. he hits like a truck (pally healer here) was having trouble keeping up the group and the tank...

you should be using 3 heals at least then, one whom can change to DPS for Arc.

in the very least have the lazy hydrid dps heals themselves once to help out. no reason to not be able to 2 healer all 3 bosses IMO.
