Thanks for letting me know what it's meant to sound like :)

  • *in

  • I have to learn this on a day -.- imppsssible!

  • List of exam songs to do:

    Suite De La Rejouissance (a1)

    The Sand Man (b2)

    Bah-ba-doo bah (c1)

This version helped me with the last part so I could play correctly, thanks!

If my english is incorrect, please correct it for me.

  • @Rayster35 I'm doing Mazurka from group B but apart from that we're playing the same :)

  • I have been learning the piano for a year and i am doing this song, milatary minuet and trio(so hard)

  • Could you possibly upload a video of you doing the grade 2 scales and arpeggios? It would be really helpful!!

  • @akabandara Hi, I'm planning to upload all the scales soon, just need to find some more time ;-)

  • OMG I have my exam this term, I am doing:

    Military Minuet

    The Sandman

Bah-bah-doo-bah (OH YEAH! LUV THIS SONG)

And I have 2 play in a concert as well... ARRRRRGH

  • this is really good, your so talented x

  • Im playing this in my exam tomorrow :O!

  • I am playing this for my exam as well and I rock at it (or should I say.... I JAZZ at it)

  • i swear its supposed 2 be faster... idk but i play it faster but im not an expert :p

  • I have to learn this in 3 weeks :(

  • Very nice and good in reading notes - can you refer to tempo and DYNAMICS! I do not really see f, p, mf, what I see is only a flat, boring playing. Try to improve!

    razorscar99

  • I have to take my grade 2 in feb next yr... dont think im ready

  • No offence, but there was no dynamics!!! you need to make it more jazzy! More ... More ... Kapppowwww!!!!

  • @tallie2244 I know, I recorded this just after i could play the notes through with no failures, but before I really practiced playing it. In future I'll not post any videos unil they are performance worthy.

    Thanks for the observation.

  • Good song choice and very entertaining playing it! My grade 2 last easter had very good song choices!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Staccato???

  • @penwahable Hi,

Semi Staccato in the left hand.

    Thanks

  • PLEASE HELP MY EXAM IS 3 WEEKS LATER !! DD: I played this not missing a single notes my rhythm is okay but my teacher still says its no good she said that I lacked something and if I don't get the problem fixed we have to change songs.. PLEASE ANYONE HELP ME

  • @ChristForever154 Hi,

In the early stages of learning most students play all in one tone, meaning the volume and impact of each note does not really alter between the notes. Try experimenting with emphasising different notes slightly, and the same for duration. From memory I play the left hand slightly lighter on the second beat, so it has a sort of up down feeling. But just play what sounds good whilst still staying in the right timing and note duration.

  • @AMRayner Thanks a lot it helped me :)

  • @AMRayner Hiya,

Sorry couldn't help but reading, but I was exactly the same. Your teacher shouldn't really be telling you it's no good though. Maybe it's the dynamics or the semi staccato? Don't worry if you haven't mastered it yet, you will !! :) keep practicing that's all I can say :)

  • Well done! ^-^

  • Hi, Im thinking of learning the piano. But i cant seem to play with two hands . Its too confusing :S . Will I adapt the skill ?

  • @Swoozack Hi,

Everybody who starts to play has the same problem, even those who are now concert pianists. The simple answer is yes, it just takes practice. Any good music book series will take you through developing both hands separately and then together, slowly at first then faster. There are things you can do to help, try using your weaker hand in everyday life to do the things you would naturally do with your strong hand, such as opening doors etc. Then scales etc will strengthen it.

  • @AMRayner Thanks :)

  • do you need to repeat the 1st bar after you play the last bar? reply asap plz

  • @baiba1988 Hi,

I have played it as it is required for the ABRSM exam. The score is actually written to repeat the first phrase (first 8 Bars) after ts first play, then again as directed by the D.C al Fine at the end. Normal repeat marks are not required to be played for exam purposes.

    Hope this helps.

  • @AMRayner haha thank you so much

  • @AMRayner Could you post the chords for this song? I'm not enrolling in any piano classes so I do not have the score sheet but I really wish to learn it.

    :)

  • I CAN PLAY IT TOO :D

    KEEP IT UP!!

  • Sounds like mr bean tune

  • I'm also doing this song for my exam it's really fun

  • Really Good. I am doing this song for my exam (Grade 2)! Is it me or does it remind anyone else of the Pink Panther?

  • I am sure you played it wrong I can help you for I am doing that piece as well

  • @CoolCatz2011 Hi Thanks watching, it's a little bit unfinished in this video, but all the notes and timing are right, i'm on grade 4 now, but thanks for the offer. I recorded this just after I could play it right through, and have polished it much more for the exam, scoring 28 out of 30, and a distinction for the whole grade.

  • @AMRayner congradulations i took the exam this year and got a merit but ders allways next year

  • I love this song its really jazzy

  • Love this song-I am 12 and I'm doing this song for my grade 2 can't wait!

  • i love this piece i'm doing it as well!!!!!

  • Is it weird for a 14 year old to begin to learn piano? My sister LOveS piano, but she thinks she's too old to begin.

    Good playing by the way.

  • @jetbelldelight Hi, Nobody is too old to begin, Like me many older people start learning, regretting they did not when they were young. Provided she's prepared to put in around 30 to 60 minutes practice a day, if she wants to play she should.

  • I've chosen this for my exam next week too! I like the way you played it. If you like, take a look at my first upload.

  • This piano piece is awesome! I'm playing it for my exam as well!!!

  • Well played!

  • I love this song... it's so jazzy...at the end I just want to get up and do jazz hands!

  • this reminds me of the saboteur (game)
