  • Very beautifully played, indeed - almost comparable to the orchestral original work!

  • that was a pure fabulous performance, thank you

  • A wonderful presentation!

  • Beautifully sympathetic to the nature of this composition. This is artistic skill and performance of a rare quality. Very real, deep soul music. Thank you, this is a highlight of 2010.

  • Beautifully played!

  • One of my favourite pieces, expertly played. Just Beautiful!

  • Beautiful, what a talanted lady! Thank You!

  • That was soooo good!

  • What lovely footwork on the pedals!

  • This truly was a brilliant performance of one of my favorite pieces. Thank you for sharing!

  • Ms. Belcher: I wish to compliment you on playing this piece so relaxed. The sounds refect that! You put all of the organ resources into the Crescando...and the beautiful sounds fade...

    God Bless from Charlottesville, VA

  • A beautiful performance of one of my favorite pieces. Thank you!

  • What a wonderful video in every way.Your registration was perfect and the camera caught the way you were getting there. Loved your toe pre-sets at the end. I have also watched this with my eyes closed and have never heard a better interpretation.

  • Nice, and very smooth. The organ has nice strings. Well done!

  • Amazing. A wonderful piece and a wonderful performance!!!!

  • Wow... fantastic... thank you.

  • A transport . . .exquisitely played.

  • That was great. I never really thought of organs as having much dynamic range but you showed us otherwise. You almost need a second set of hands and feet to play this.

  • @deltaray3 The organ has the greatest dynamic range of ant instrument.

  • WOW! One of the best performances of this piece I've seen in a while!

  • Good sense of style and some nifty swell pedaling.

    Bravo.

  • Brilliant performed !!!

  • Beautifully done!

  • Echoing "tshreenan," I loved the shot of the toe stud decrescendo at the end. Great organist and film.

  • beautiful playing .. super video quality ..

  • Wonderfully played and filmed. Thank you Joe for posting it, can't wait for the CD to come out. Keep me posted. (Ole)

  • This is very good performance and video work. Thanks to Diane and Joe!

  • I sat mesmerized throughout the entire piece. It's very powerful and touching.

  • A beautifully realized performance of this quietly evocative piece. The video quality offers splendid clarity. Another unusual version of this work is available on the Helios label with Arthur Wills at the Ely Cathedral organ with the incredible brass of the Cambridge Co-Operative Band conducted by David Read. Elgar can enter the musical heart of the listener and remain there indefinitely, in spacious realms of kings, princes and commoners alike.

  • Very nicely played!

That sounds like a very nice instrument, but it seems to be in a room more suited for chamber or vocal music.

  • Great video, Joe! I loved all the camera angles, especially the one near the end while the organist was doing the decrescendo on the toe studs. This lovely performance of a deceptively difficult piece reminds me of how much athleticism is required when playing transcriptions. Brava!

  • what a truly moving performance of my favourite piece of music.Thank you so much

  • @tshreenan truly moving thank you
