Cameron has done a good job and I find it hard to believe the Labour Party could do better. Ed seems decent enough, but he just is no ready to be PM. He is not confident enough in public speaking and struggles to get his message across. He'll probably lose the next election and David Miliband will win the next one.
Though its already obvious the lib dems have lost ether way!
@IceaSmith WHat you just said made absolutely no sense. Also, I can talk to whom I please, this is a public forum. If you care to inform me as to how exactly I have no clue then we would almost be having a discussion. Good day sir.
people are judging miliband and cameron for the personal appearence and personality. you shouldnt. cameron has done well, and everyone in labour has bankrupted the country.
At least cameron can speak properly at the end of the day it was labour who got our country into this mess and cameron has been made to try and digg us out of it. Not as easy as it looks!
@IceaSmith The crisis is systemic... it has nothing to do with whether labor or the conservatives were in power. Do you honestly think British political policy would have prevented the global economic crisis? Politics is a fucking joke... a childish, egotistical personality contest with no substance whatsoever. They are all spineless robots churning out the same PR bullshit to further their own careers. We have to start thinking for ourselves, every one of us... or we are FUCKED. Simple as...
@TheMasterconnor well i've never heard of a good weak leader, he'd be a little yes man on the world stage, but having never voted Labour myself i'd be happy for him to stay as their leader for a long time.
Immature upper class boy babbling what he thinks he wants people to hear but hasn't stated any real practical solutions. Anyone can say we need more jobs but it takes real intelligence to see the bigger picture and speak the truth. He's nothing more than a professional politic that with power would do nothing but deceive the people. Nigel Farage from UKIP is the only down to earth UK politician with real honest solutions.
@Carnuss "babbling upper class boy babbling what he thinks he wants people to hear" - The same thing could be said about Nigel Farage... The isolationist, militaristic policies of UKIP are equally as ridiculous as the laborite/conservative line. The system itself is fucked. It doesn't matter who you vote for... stop relying on other people to look after you! We need to take responsibility of our own situation and stop relying on the same elite group of professional bullshitters...
every leader we get victims/workers to the the trap of the euro system, banking sector executives, there nothing but people who represent the decisions of those who control our finacial system the ones who pay for there piss,if they want a war they get one if they want a financial war they get one,end of the day its the innocent/stupid people who have to pay the bill.
The new Michael Foot! A leader who appeals only to Labour's core supporters (and not all of them) but who has little chance of 'connecting' with Middle England.
uuuurgh, I am slain.... Yet more rhetoric lacking in any kind of detail. I'm not a Cameron supporter by any measure but at least he can communicate effectively AND if you look at his 'Big Society' idea in any detail it is at least coherent. Where is Labour's alternative? The 'Squeezed Middle' sound-bite. Tell us something we don't know Ed...
I'm a member of Labour youth. I think Labour has the potential to be a very good party, however as long as Ed Miliband is leading it I don't know If I can remain a member of the Labour party.
@wicca584 I don't quite understand your question. I think that most political parties derive from some sort of socialism. The reason I have such lack of confidence in Ed is because of his general dithery indecisiveness and lack of conviction on policies and even his own opinions. He's doesn't have the qualities of a leader and if he were to get into power it would it would be incredibly bad for the UK. However the Labour party are a very strong party, we just need a new leader.
@PineTreeAndCone He`s indecisive and somewhat politically unsure of himself ? " I am a Socialist " " How dare they say we are all in it together " " You can`t trust the Tories with the NHS " His speech at the Labour Party Conference last year was considered excellent by most critics, If you want a cheesy grinning Labour leader popularity contest, You`ve missed the point and the boat
I'm not a fan of the tories, but between ed milband and david cameron, I would say David Cameron, he is more of a leader, look at ed, he doesnt look up and connect with the audience, he's looking down and frankly I would say pathetic. I doubt Ed could deal with Europe, I respect Cameron for vetoing Europe ect. He is a real leader, even if I don't agree with all that he says.
This guy may be able to beat his brother with the help of the Union's block vote but in all other senses and in all other circumstances he's nothing more than a throwback to Neil Kinnock, just another loser. He doesn't look or sound like a leader. Maybe he could just about run a local co-op. And, yes @larscix and @Garciamrcool, what on earth was that parody of a Tony Blair impression about?! Sad.
@xStupitidy but I can't help but think "you're a dick" when watching him on the television or in videos.
Thats xactly what the tories are talking about. and you would thnk politcians would be about more than someones apperance. (u thnk hes a dick and so do i)
its a testament and a reason why our society is failing has failed
He said 'I am not Tony Blair', so why is he copying the way Blair spoke and using the same old tired expressions like 'doing the right thing'.....Sounds EXACTLY like Blair to me!! What a tw*t!!!!!
How can anyone take him serious, he's like a little boy out of his depth, to be a leader of the country you have to be a man (like Maggie) not some pompos inaudible little twat who looks and sounds like a school boy.
I'm Labour through and through but I'm afraid Ed Miliband is the wrong man to lead the party. I voted for him, and I now regret it. David Miliband would of been a wiser choice.
Miliband did well to denounce to hypocritical racist statements of Abbot. Multi-culturalist have infiltrated the Labour movement to a point where people confuse a politically correct religion with English social democracy; Labour must keep to core issues of economics & English national interest Social Market, strengthening EU hyperpower, getting rid of waste caused by unattainable surplus which leaves 1 mil houses abandoned, a strong National defense, written constitution liberty equality
Given Miliband's back ground he seemed more than a bit tainted by Marxism, I thought here we go again another Marxist trying to infiltrate English Social Democracy - our Labour tradition is from the co-operative movement & patriotic social democracy i.e Atlee. Yet when he got the chance to speak on economics in very general terms I thought he has potential although I still would have voted for Andy Burnham. As a Leader he is very uninspiring & only a benefit to the Tories.
@WavingMovie - Kremlinology - the study of political developments in USSR based on rumour and body language. Rather apt for this pathetic marxist son of a marxist.
