I think it's unhealthy that a body with a BMI < 18 is considered to be the ideal one, because that's what a model stands for, a model should be someone who has a healthy, fit body, an "example", "model" for other people to strive for. But if that example isn't accessible anymore for the most of us, who aren't "blessed" with a size 0, it only makes people sad and unconfident about their bodies, some even get eating disorders because they also want to be as "beautiful", or should I say, as thin...
Im really happy ann won she really deserved it shes gorgeous and pretty. theres nothing wrong being a girl and being really tall or really skinny. i also get picked on at school cause of my height. im very tall too and thats why ann's my inspiration. cause she showed even though shes tall and people would pick on her she made it to the end being americas next top model <3 CONGRATS ANN !! :D ♥
even though Ann is really skinny BUT at least she look healthy when she wore her swim suit but Anamaria was far too skinny and in fact she say she is still not skinny enough!! She was eliminated because the judges are worry that she will bring the wrong information to the young girls out there that skinny is beautiful as for Ann she really deserve to win this!!! when she had best photo for 5 straight weeks e rest of the girls have ald lost!!! I hated being so skinny cause people made mean comments about my look. (Nooo, I wasn't anorexic or anything.) It hurt, so I ate so much until I looked "normal." Now I'm kinda wishing I had my old body back.. cause I don't feel so thin anymore lol. :)

Yuck yuck yuck YUCK! Look at her mouth when she smiles or speaks. She has no social skills what so ever and every time she speaks to someone it's like she thinks they are going to attack her, fuck learn to smile properly. No personality either. chelsea is so much more professional... and model like. Ann is still very awkward, even in her pictures. This is my first time watching ANTM because I saw Ann and became interested in it! Then I started downloading the past cycles, Cycle 13 up to now, Cycle 16 and I can say that she's the best winner so far! She is beautiful INSIDE and OUT! She's the only winner that is really humble and didn't say anything bad against the other contestants!

Fashion today it's not like "sexy" anymore, Adriana Lima & Gisele Bündchen and many others are legends but they're so 2000.. Fashion today is about the weird, different, etc.. Specially Vogue Italia features those kind of models. Ann is perfect for that sort of thing, and I find her beautiful.. You should embrace the fact tha Ann is special and has a gift, the quiet, weird girl that takes a picture and makes everybody shivers.

i hope we have heard the last of all these interview questions about Ann being super thin. All you have to do is look at her face and see that she doesn't have the gaunt look of someone who has an eating disorder. From her face by itself, you wouldn't have a clue as to how thin she is. Ann's height domination is fabulous in this video. She absolutely towers over reporter Claudette. Chelsey's bio says she's 5'10-3/4", but in the side-by-side photos she's at least 4-1/2" shorter than Ann. So, most likely Ann is at least 6'3", and Tyra Banks is a shrimp. Plus, Ann's deep voice is dominant, and despite the "shy" stuff, she's far more self-assured than gap-toothed Chelsey. Only possible problem: her feet seem short for her height.
@footsizer Yes i noticed that throughout the series, I think Ann might be 6ft3 aswel, and they decresed her height by 1 inch, because there are stil a few 6ft2 models (very few i know but there r som), but no 6ft3 models.

This is my first time watching ANTM because I saw Ann and became interested in it! Then I started downloading the past cycles, Cycle 13 up to now, Cycle 16 and I can say that she's the best winner so far! She is beautiful INSIDE and OUT! She's the only winner that is really humble and didn't say anything bad against the other contestants!

The models in Europe are more waif-like and are not bulky. You probably have too much curves to be even a model anyway--and I don't mean the luscious Beyonce curves--but the jiggly Flubber ones.

Lol. She's incredibly thin. Even though she's always been that way, it's still not quite healthy. I'm a bit overweight - 181cm and a bit over 80 kilos - but I think I'd rather be like this than that thin. (and supposedly it's easier to lose weight than to gain it...or so they say)
It's great she's happy that way though :)

And no, she's not skinny because of her height, I had a girlfriend that was as tall as her and it was nowhere near her. She IS anorexic, I bet you can't remember the time where one of the judges put her hands around Ann's hips and could cover it all (she could touch the tips of her other hand).

Being skinny is nothing more than being very thin (just look at a dictionary), and when you are anorexic you are very thin, regardless of the causes of this (unhealthy) thinness .
And I'm not putting labels on anyone, it's obvious that if someone looks like that and weighs 45kgs being 1m88 tall, then there's something wrong in this person.

I understand you rationalization. I just don't agree with it. I find it offensive. My whole family is skinny like hers. Ive had people think I am anorexic because I am skinny. I can eat and eat and it won't phase my body in the least. Sometimes its just hereditary. That seems to be the case with her. So leave her alone.

Just as not everyone who has an eating disorder is thin, not every person who is thin ha asn eating disorder.

No they're not, they are skinny. It doesn't matter where this skinniness is coming from (disease or not), but they still are skinny. So try to understand what there's written before commenting.

She said that "all her family is very thin" to excuse her condition. Well it is not true, if you look up in youtube you can find a video of all her family around the TV watching the final of ANTP and none of them is as skinny as her, they're just normal.

Anorexia Nervosa is a MENTAL illness in which a person refuses to maintain a healthy body weight due to a distorted self image. Anorexics have an extreme fear of gaining weight. Ann hasn't shown a single sign of this MENTAL disorder. Educate yourself before speaking further.

Fashion today it's not like "sexy" anymore, Adriana Lima & Gisele Bündchen and many others are legends but they're so 2000.. Fashion today is about the weird, different, etc.. Specially Vogue Italia features those kind of models. Ann is perfect for that sort of thing, and I find her beautiful.. You should embrace the fact tha Ann is special and has a gift, the quiet, weird girl that takes a picture and makes everybody shivers.

i hope we have heard the last of all these interview questions about Ann being super thin. All you have to do is look at her face and see that she doesn't have the gaunt look of someone who has an eating disorder. From her face by itself, you wouldn't have a clue as to how thin she is. She's incredibly beautiful... those eyes.. those lips... that hair... WOW!!!! And she may fill out some over the years. If she eats normally, she main gain 10-20 pounds eventually. Go Ann!!! Ann's height domination is fabulous in this video. She absolutely towers over reporter Claudette. Chelsey's bio says she's 5'10-3/4", but in the side-by-side photos she's at least 4-1/2" shorter than Ann. So, most likely Ann is at least 6'3", and Tyra Banks is a shrimp. Plus, Ann's deep voice is dominant, and despite the "shy" stuff, she's far more self-assured than gap-toothed Chelsey. Only possible problem: her feet seem short for her height.
