I can't remember the name of the lady who wrote this, but she did believe she could not live a moment without God's care and mercy. She wrote this song for her church choir and it really took off! She truly believed that she (or allof us) could not live one moment with His care and guidance. In joy or sorrow, pain or no pain, He is with us, and we need Him. If we only praised and called on Him in good times, we would never know the depth of His love for us.

Thanks. About the pictures, you're probably referring to the last part (1:59 to 2:59). Well, it's actually a continuation of the script of terrible things that might befall us and mind you, these (WMDs or cataclysmic events) are clear and present dangers. We need God every minute of the day and we should cling to Him for protection and thats the context of the song.

So, it does not necessarily follow that all the pictures (and absolutely no exemption at all) should and ought to correspond with every word in the lyrics in every time frame. I apologized that I did not repeat the sequence from 1:17 to 1:26 but seeing the set of cataclysmic events is far more appealing for the song. We dont have to wait for the world to be destroyed for us to seek God for the first time.
