that is not true, U dont understand the readings of the Quran at all. He's following the same Maqaamat like Abdel basit. Maqaamat means (Quranic melodies) THAT IS NOT MUSIC!!!!!!!! Its more like Mujawwad style of his reciting.

Dear brother, if he maintains the rules of tajweed (which he does as far as I can tell) there is no harm in beautifying ones voice with the quran. Indeed the prophet order us to do that.

There is a place in the highest levels of Jannah for the one who recites the Qur'an and moves the hearts of men.

If someone is listening to Qur'an even if they don't understand it, there is reward in that, but ofcourse what your talking about is just stupidity. Its when people listen to the Qur'an as a form of entertainment, and that is obviously NOT why Allah (swt) revealed it from the Heavens. Allah protect us from not gaining benifit from His Book, ameen.
