hello, i went to petco today and asked the lady if it was ok to put goldfish in with my yellow bellied slider. she said if i wanted fish, they should be in a separate tank. ..... i wasnt so sure about that after watching your video. also, would the turtle get sick if he did end up eating the fish? thank you

First of all, Im not a hater or rude like ppl that come out and call names and make accusations after watching ONE video....but, I will say this IS a very lack-luster tank...The turtles act starved....and Goldfish ARE NOT good feeders...they are infested with parasites and hold little nutritional value...

in the wild they are alright with the cold if you do research it is fine for them, actually, it is suggested if you want to mate your ear sliders (if legal in your state) you let the water get quite cold for them to get into the mood.

before you go and yell at someone at what they are doing "wrong" please do your research.

Another thing is when you feed them goodfish open the bag and empty the water and fish through a fish net over the sink. The reason is most petshops water has a very high level of Ammonia. and make sure they get Vitamen A or feed them carrots if they will eat it. RES really depend on there vison. And mine love to eat Krill

pyramiding is what happens when the turtle is fed to much protien and the shell start to "pyramid" up at the top of the shell ...i dont think it is danger'es thing but it carnt be made back to normal after it has pyramided so its something to avoid ...its never happened to any of my turtles and i feed them all different foods with lots of protien and i think its pretty rare for a turtle to get it ...

I got a question : I also have the marineland 400 filter,and a 20 gallon long tank..i was wondering if your turtles try to climb out of the water? i have a floating log and a floating basking area but im afraid my turtles will climb out? and if the water lvl is too low my filter wont work..

i know what you mean, i dont have the log but i suggest to keep that wedged in the middle of the tank somehow, but with the basking dock, i keep it in the back all the way to the left, and i place one of my clamp lights at the end and the other the whole length of the dock, by the ramp part and i have a piece of wood in the middle, that is what i do so i can run my filter properly, if you dont understand i could make a video and send it to you, il answer any other questions you have also : )

yes you need one eventually to be healthy but the turtle wont die without one, but you need a heat light and a uvb bulb for artificial sunlight, or you can find a bulb that does both, good luck

are you crazy!!!!! they should maybe only eat two a day if that includes other meals. i substitute my turtle pellet meal for this feeding and i dont do it all the time just once in a while, all the fish dont get eaten up in one day usually maybe two or three wil survive over the span of weeks when they get bigger and harder to catch. and the protein they get from eating the fish really helps them grow into healthy adults.............
