  • Thx for this video, great work... unfortunately almost unbearable because of this terrible terrible synthesis voice. To be honest I couldn't get to the end which is a pity cause the whole thing is great and well written, nice pace, etc etc. It would gain a lot with a real voice.

  • GAWD!! couldn't you have had words or even talked yourself instead of the dreadful computerized voice???!!

  • @Nincomga808 hmmm..no..my real voice is pants..so had to go with a a computerised voice..I may redo it..but only if time permits me too..

  • very educational (and retro) video.

  • My ears cant cope with synthesis voices, please redo with a human narrating please.

  • @UKRetroGames Thanks alot for pointing out the 800XE. The whole jist of the presentation could be generalized into the observation that Atari oversaturated the market with shitty computers and failed to do proper research and development. Consumers weren't stupid and even "Atari", a name once synonymous with videogames, came to be associated with just plain getting ripped off. The only good thing was the music software.

  • 14:25 Terminator 2 !!!

  • Thanks I got second place watching and getting info from this vid THANKS A BILLION AND THREEEEEE!!

  • @UKRetroGames , No it wasn't mention this time around..I understand that it was apart of the Atari range..but didn't mention it purely because of it's known faults..I wanted to just keep it with actual product range which was completed with no bugs..and no it isn't mention at any section of the video..sry :(... I will be at some stage doing an Amiga one..

  • Aww yeah, I was rockin a 1040STe, still have it.

  • @GAMERSHARK100 Yeah, it looks like an acoustic coupler... never had the pleasure of using one, but they look seriously 1980s hackerish (i.e. brilliant) :)
