he did have a hat trick against the up and coming devils with their rookie goalie marty brodeur while he played with six members from the dynasty 5 cups in 7 years edmonton oilers team along with 6 players from the 1992 finals blackhawks team. i recall two guys just this year having hat tricks in the same game! --- "the messiah" when surrounded by Oilers -- "the golfer" when surrounded by Rangers!

thanks for proving me right! that dynasty team was sooo great they didn't even need Gretzky! there were many teams like the devils, penguins, wings, avalanche and more that also won the cup without Gretzky. Both Gretzky and Messier did nothing after leaving the dynasty OILERS. Messier was with the Dynasty N.Y. OILERS IN 1994 and led the teams that he played for after that out of the playoffs 7 times! Something you should've looked up before looking like a total dumb ass!

but if you look at it, Leetch/Richter/Zubov/Matteau/Noonan all had key roles in the win as well.. so even though Tik, G.Anderson, was added, they still would have won had they Kept Gartner.
W/O Leetch/Richter/Zubov/Kovalev, Rangers may not even have been in a position to win the cup

well been a ranger fan all my life ofcourse,but when u root for a team over 30 years and see 1 cup u become a hockey fan.and as a hockey fan i can say irdgaf how a team builds a championship as long as they win it on home ice,whether it be the devils detroit,carolina or even the islanders in maybe 4 or 5 years.and having so many oilers on the team did make it sweet because i know it got under islander fans skin because they put an end to their run.Kiss his ass,irdgaf if he licked it.lol

the oilers didn't end the isles streak! the isles didn't make the finals after 1984 and it had nothing to do with the oilers at all. that would be like saying the isles put an end to the habs streak. things just don't last forever. i'm an isles fan and i never hated the oilers. they built a team the way the isles did. through their system! that's the way real cups are won! Neil Smith took bukaki from the 8 oiler members playing for N.Y. that year.
