@DeadlyDan It isn't even really about gypsies, though they chose to put Papa Lazarou into that setting. Papa Lazarou is actually based on Steve and Reece's old landlord (called Mr. Papalazarou) who used to speak in that gruff voice and always ask to talk to Steve, even if he wasn't there- and would refuse to talk to Reece. Also, he used to say "this is just a saga now" and they would see him with different women, all of which he called his wife. They spoke about it on the season 2 dvd.
