What was Jack Layton doing watching the Olympics, wasn't he a big factor in Toronto not getting the Olympics in 1996??!? Was he not part of a group called Bread Not Circuses??!?

It was because of Layton that the money put up to bid for the Olympics was lost. Toronto missed the opportunity to host a world class event and have much better infrastructure than it has today.

If there is any doubt to the benefits of hosting such event go see how those city's improved.
