  • Kermie was the shit!

  • That's pretty good there J. T. Birdzback !!! I followed the music with the motion rather than the lip sink. There is poetry in the way that you put shots together, and it works for me !!!

  • This is funny I alwasy thought these guys sounded like kermit the frog hahaha

  • Excellent!

  • now all you have to do is get a ray romono version lol

  • LOLOLOLOLOL!!!!!!!GENIOUS!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • LOL!!! I bet Kermit is on acid xD

  • HAHAHA HILARIOUS GAG! :) If you lip-synced this to precision, i'm convinced i would've died laughing! HAHA

  • lol when I was little I thought Kermit really did sing this song

  • Ha Ha , nice job. Kermit looks completely zonked out of his skull.

  • OH FOR GODS SAKES DOES IT HAVE TO - THIS IS JUST SO FUNNY - I LOVED IT - MAKE SOME MORE - I LIKE THE PARTS WHERE HE'S TALKING TO THE HAND THAT IS SUPPOSED TO BE THE HAND THAT OPERATES HIM - I THOUGHT THIS WAS GREAT - THANKS FOR DOING IT :):):)

  • Ha ha...Good job mate...Well done.

  • Dork

  • Actually, I thought of Jim Henson playing a milquetoast Muppet character trying to be hip and sing the blues! Though your analogy of Kermit on drugs is valid, too. :)

  • lmfao - hilarious- good job on the Kermit connect!!

  • awesome. always one of my very favorite songs.

  • idk why but this was really funny.

  • You know I was just thinking of how funny it would be to put kermit/ernie's video to Canned Heat & then I realized someone probably came up w/ that idea LOL

  • i love this I want it played on the radio

  • LOL, I awleays thought this was kermit when I was growing up!!! my moms jam!

  • would you guys just shut the fuck up? if you dont like the so what! this is a quality fucking tune god damn. great video by the way

  • i love your description jonny lol. i never heard this as kermit the frog until you pointed that out, now everytime i hear this amazing jam i think of kermit the frog. damn you jonny lol

  • funny i like how u interpreted the singer to be kermit and i like the follow thru with this video, props all around

  • hahaha at 1:14

  • got lost on the signing

not every one gets the heat and the woodstock anthem

you would've had to understand freaky first and the visuals that alan could paint with his voice, but then that was 40 years ago

blind owl was a blues scholar who single handedly brought to bear the country blues idiom through his music

check out the album he worked with son house in john the revelator

  • This is hilarious, but when I first heard this song I thought the singer sounded like Ernie from Sesame Street. I guess Jim Henson did Ernie's voice too.

  • skate 3

  • bravo igual a la rana René.

  • la de Luca Prodan es la mejor.

  • Kermit rocks!

  • kermit sounds like alan wilson

  • I mean Cheers and right on:O)

  • Amen!!!

  • BOOO!!

    HOW MISLEADING JERK OFF!

  • Don't mess with the heat !!!

  • I love the music of "Canned Heat" and the humor of Jim Henson's "Muppets" and found this pretty funny and silly. Alan Wilson did have a strange appearance and different sounding voice but he was a gifted original blues and rock musician.

  • Other bands could never cover this...only Kermit. This song is killer.

  • he sounds nothing like kermit don't diss 'em!

  • Wow, never made this connection. Very Cool!

  • I love this!

  • one of the band members drove his truck towing a cabin cruising boat in the drive way at the refinery where I used to work at.

He was there dropping off used motor oil

    he was recycling it.true story.

happened in signal hill ,ca 1989.

  • When this song came out in 1969 Sesame Street just came out and I was 3 & 4 yrs old and I truly remember hearing this on my AM transistor radio and thinking of Kermit The Frog. How funny how a young childs mind thinks. Of course no disrespect to Alan "Blind Owl" Wilson of course.

  • haha it could be the same person

  • Clark Hassler, IS GOOD

  • LOL awesome. a Bag of Suck reference on the kermit canned heat song. the only reason i know of this song is because of the Clark Hassler part of that skate dvd. i swear, skate dvds revive so many old and random songs. simply because you like the vid and the song reminds you of it.

  • The mouth totally doesn't match up.

  • WHERE IS THE VW WAGON???.. A little Grass??? FOR MEDICINAL PURPOSES OF COURSE.. TO TALK TO THE SPIRITS THAT LIVE AROUND US IN A DIFFERENT PLANE OF REALITY.. is all good BABY... :O)

  • So then Jim Henson WASN'T the singer from Canned Heat?? (joking)

  • I thought this was actually going to be Kermit the frog singing.

  • IT IS!

  • I do see the connection, but think this is disrespecting a realy good band.. I have always liked this song, and all from Canned heat, and his voice give somethin else to the music, that other badns cannot achieve

  • Respect the frog man!

Oh, and FWIW, I always thought it was Ernie

  • Evertime I hear Canned Heat sing this, I think....he sounds like KERMIT!

  • Lol!

  • mmm this made my lsd funnn

  • awesome, the connection with kermit only makes canned heat better! Everytime I see blind owl I have to laugh, now with kermit I have to laugh even harder hahaha. Awesome music though!

  • lol i thought the sang Im so happy happy where do ya wanna gooo? lol

  • I'm glad I'm not the only one who thought the lead singer on this song sounded like Kermit!

  • Kermit is so funny, I want a pet Kermit!

  • LOVE THE HEAT!!

    GREAT JOB!!

  • Uhhh, I have to admit......I made the Kermit connection too. No offense to Canned Heat. They were an awesome group

  • I wish I'd never found this. I loved early Canned Heat, Now I'll be stuck with the Kermit image. Sheesh!

  • dude, it's like making fun of Blid Owl. Sorry but i don't dig it...

  • : )

  • What? You didn't spend days, weeks, months at your computer perfectly lip-syncing it? What kind of Kermit the Frog Blind Owl Wilson fan are you?!?!?

Funnier than hell anyway. Hope the c0pyr!ght owners don't yank this one... hope it's too obscure a record label at this point.

Few people know this, but Jim Henson's Kermit the Frog voice was plagiarized from Blind Owl Wilson. Now you can believe everything you read on the internet.

  • Yeah. I aplogize for not perfectly lipsynching it. It was the first time I ever made a "do it youself" video from Windows Movie Maker.

  • @jonnytbirdzback GET OWNED!!!!!

  • @jonnytbirdzback there's the problem: windows movie maker :PP

  • @Balertwine Blind Owl actually plagiarized this song from a 1928 Negro blues player. REALLY! Sounds exactly the same, except the lyrics are different...

  • @Balertwine Blind Owl actually plagiarized this song from a 1928 Negro blues player. REALLY! Sounds exactly the same, except the lyrics are different...

PS jonnytbirdzback : I think it was YOU on drugs, lol!

  • @rockdrumr429 See, and since Kermit the Frog is now "singing" it, it relieves Blind Owl from legal liability because, after all, how can you sue a puppet?

Few people know this, but there was a sly lawyer behind this video.

  • Kermit rocks... Canned Heat Rocks... It's a Blind Owl match made in heaven...Now if only we could get some Sam the Eagle action.... "Revolutionary"

  • Some people might see the the whole Blind Owl/Kermit vocal thing...but it sounds weak to me.

    just sayin'.

  • LOVE THIS!

I always thought the same thing.

    Fun Muppet footage!

  • That's the whole point. And just to warn you in a friendly way, I allow negative comments on my videos.

  • Hi ho, Kermit dee frog here....

I used to love him on Seesame Street! Thanks for the memories and the good tune to go along with it!

  • When I was very little, I thought he was calling himself Kermody Frog.

  • that egg scares my ass offf

  • Innit though.

  • This is stupid. Why are yall making fun of Kermit?

  • It never would've occurred to me that there was a similarity in Jim Henson and Al Wilson's voices. Over the years, I have noticed that Cat Stevens sounds a bit like Burl Ives and Cory Wells of the Three Dog Night occasionally sounds like Walter Brennan.

  • I used to think this was a STONED ERNIE singing this.

  • LOL Exactly

  • Great stuff.

  • haha this is hilarious

  • the song rules!

  • horrible.

  • hahahahaha this is where they got their inspiration! how's its possible for a humanbeing to have a voice so alike kermit's? hahaa THIS ROXXXXXXX

  • excellent, made my day!

  • 10 stars on acid.

  • Good job!

  • That was great! I grew up on Kermit and Caned Heat. I'm glad someone has a sense of humor that likes music and remembers our childhood

  • enorme j'adore cette musique elle est énorme pour les video de skate

I love this song the pretty song for skate videos :p

  • Si t'aimes cette musique alors ecoute les autres titres de Canned heat, ils sont excellents, super blues man, comme on en fait plus...

  • For those of you who aren't familiar with Canned Heat, it's the guitarist Alan "Blind Owl" Wilson singing the lead vocals on this track. Bob "The Bear" Hite took the vocals on their other songs. This was actually pretty darn funny, especially Kermit dancing during the flute break in the middle eighth!

  • This song has bothered me from the first time I heard it. Thank you for finally exorcising that demon! Kermit, of course!!!! D'oh!!!! :oD

  • haha thought this would be crap, but it really does sound like him

  • great find +++

  • woooooooooow he does sound like kermit!!!!!!!

  • Unbelievable funny!!!!!

  • Unbelievable funny!!!!!

  • This is hilarious!!

  • I enjoyed this.

  • Well done.

  • This is great. Yeah, Kermit does sounds like Alan.

    Thanks for posting!

  • That is so hilarious! Since those days I always thought Canned Heat sounded weird..I never noticed that the vocal sounds like Kermit till now.Oh, it's so funny! Great video!

  • RE-MIX! Synch it up a little better with the words and you will have yourself a classic video man. The part where Kermit is riding out of the frame goes great with the vocals. I think many have to admit kermit sounds like canned heat. Man I wish I had editing capabilities on this old computer.

  • This is so weird. I love it!

  • he was so brilliant and reached everyone what a free spirit where can we get this to go now to relax the heads of states!!People are so seriously involved in getting more and not really enjoying life. Now look whats coming down the path ..start at the roots level and carve a life out for yourselves stand up to the Gov't in a good way and get right with God .Say something positive before the darkness eats your destiny and kids and parents away Kermit rocks

  • haha that's awesome, cuz I remember back in the day when my dad would make fun of the music I listen to I would always say that Canned Heat sounded like Kermit the Frog on drugs hahaha...

  • the song rules!

  • kermit the frog sings in original???

  • The Perfect Song for Kermit!!!

  • I love the muppets but i really like the song and howd he get his voice 2 go that hi?

  • USED TO LOVE THE MUPPETS until these foam mofos sold out to THE DISNEY CORP...

  • what is your problem with disney are you jealous because they could own the world

  • Jeez....some people have way too much time on their hands....good job maaan.:)

  • lmao

    Kermit on drugs!!!!

  • this is amazing!!!

  • Its the same thing as the original, is it not?

  • LMAO.

  • genius

  • When I was little, I thought it WAS kermit singing. Cracked my Dad up no end.

  • Pass me a doob

  • lmao

  • Whenever I sing this song, I always sing it in a Kermit voice, even more of a Kermit voice than Al Wilson uses.

They went from being HARDCORE MUPPETS to being DISNEY.. SHOOT..

Lastly, they ARE GOING UP THE COUNTRY??? Really at 4 dollars plus a gallon in an old beat up WV van they be lucky if they can move that wagon on to the street..

  • Dn't slam it God is in control I think we are going back to the ol hippie days but better people are more organized if they are listening and now it is everyone cool ey???

  • wow Jim H. was brilliant all his memories live on through these crazy creations and beautiful puppets ...Never grow old blow off the violence in today's media this stuff he created will never die bless his soul

  • It was origanl done by Henry "ragtime" Thomas under the title "Bull Dose Bules"

  • lol thats great I never put them in the same voice bracket do you think he was Kermits voice all his time???

  • This is so neat!!!

Of course, whenever I hear this great old tune, you know what I'll be hearin'! LOL!

  • I also used to think it was Kermit the Frog singing. Glad to see I'm not the only YouTuber that has this idea. It would have been funnier if it was just a video of Kermit moving his mouth in sync with Al Wilson's singing.

  • oh man, you're right; that's disturbing!

I don't wanna think about this again!

  • brilliant,i love this song and i love kermit the frog, thanks

  • love it LOL.

  • haha

  • It does sound like Kermit!

  • is it not?

  • he has one sharp mouth

  • When I was a little girl, I too thought this was Kermit the Frog singing. Glad to see I was in good company. By the way, I STILL love Kermit at 41!!

  • Too funny!

  • Does this mean that Al Wilson sang 'Rubber Ducky' then?

  • This song and video rule.Kermit is the coolest.Canned heat should be proud to be compared with the little guy.Thank you

  • ROFLMAO!!!

  • I wonder what Jim would think of this.

  • Thats cool. I love blind owl. I never relized how much they sound alike.

  • LOL I've been laughing about that similarity for years. I knew I wasn't alone...

  • You've made a brilliant connection, and thank you.

God bless Al Wilson, Jim Henson, and Joe Raposo.

  • what clip is that of Kermit the Frog singing on an island like in 0:38-0;45 & 1:06-1:30 & 2:05? is it on youtube?

  • That's "Caribbean Amphibean" and I posted it.

  • LOL! It does kind of sound like Kermit! This is pretty funny!
