As an Alaskan, I don't find it particularly insulting. It's just too bad there are no little Bambi type deer in Nome, Alaska and I don't think I've ever seen anybody with icicles on their beard in 22 degrees, maybe -22, but not 22 above.

this is insulting to anybody who lives in Alaska. Promoting the idea that Alaskans live in a perpetual blizzard or that we aren't smart enough to put on long pants is unnecessarily negative...and smacks of cultural prejudice.
