I'm hoping they make it so that passive projectiles like snowballs and eggs won't aggro hostile mobs. That would give the snow golem more used as defensive mobs.

It was a golden nuget if you kill zombie pig men they will drop them. If you put nine in your crafting table you will get a golden ingot. If you put it in your crafting table you will get blaze powder.

I set up a mob trap using a small enclosed area filled with snow golems, a narrow bridge and lava when a hostile mob walks by the golems attack them knocking them into the lava

the nether bricks actualy spawn as a natural block in buildings in the nether.

also the blaze rod is droped by animals in the nether that look like floating blaze rods with heads, you can craft 3 cobble stone on bottom and blaze rod in very center.

I believe Notch said that 1.9 will only introduce the NPC village mobs, but they will not do much of anything except just move around... or at least they won't attack you or anything. However, I think in the next update after 1.9, they'll become more defensive and... lively! :P

But don't quote me on that, cuz I could be wrong! I'm just pretty sure I read that somewhere.
