  • U.S. Senate Environment and Public Works Committee released on January 30, 2008:

The U.S. Fish & Wildlife Service estimates that the polar bear population is currently at 20,000 to 25,000 bears, up from as low as 5,000-10,000 bears in the 1950s and 1960s. A 2002 U.S. Geological Survey of wildlife in the Arctic Refuge Coastal Plain noted that the polar bear populations may now be near historic highs.

  • 25,000 polar bears world wide. Funny how 30 years ago the population was just over 5,000. Sounds like global warming has done the bears well.

  • Look at how the numbers of Black and White Rhinos have increased since they have allowed trohy hunting of them. This does not include Kenya where it has not been illegal and they are basically gone now because of poaching :(

  • youre worried about emmisions? what about emission of CO2 from volcanos? what about all the emission of CO2 from decaying foliage? each one of those alone create more CO2 emission than all the emissions of humans. what do you propose-- we cap all volcanos? what about all the foliage? whats you propose for that? why dont you work on those 2 gross emitters of CO2 and leave people alone! the biggest emitter of CO2 is the oceans. do you propose we drain them to stop their emissions?
