Just wanted to let the fans know the RG's are in production for the filming of a new tell-all documentary titled "Cursed By A Canine - The Real Story Behind The Royal Guardsmen. Find out more info at the band's official website.
I am The Guardsmen's manager through my label, Star Creek Records. They asked me to ask you, their wonderful fans, if you will help them promote their brand new single, "Alive and Well." You can find the song/video by typing, The Royal Guardsmen, Alive and Well in the search engine on this site. On behalf of the band, I am extending a big thanks for your continued support. Maybe with your help, they'll have another hit!!
The Royal Guardsmen are set to release their first ever LIVE CD in December, "Beaglemania!" There's a sneak peek of "Biplane Evermore," one of the songs they recorded on their website. Check it out! This is the first recording in 45 years, they are back together and getting ready to tour again.

Im only 15 but i love the older music (such as this this) There is very little of the "newer" crap i like. (I can barely stand rap, the only reason i can is b/c of the fat boys, again a older group, and having to lift wile listening to rap playing all the time) I would like this type of great music to become popular with us new generation. 'Tis a shame that won't be though...... to many people wouldn't even attempt to listen to this.
"Blue Max" is a nickname for the very real medal 'Pour Le Merite'. The nickname is traced back to Max Immelmann, just as BS91 so correctly stated below.
His name was baron manfred von richthofen. His nickname was the Red Baron. He was the highest scoring aviator in WW1. men from both sides admired his fighting skills. his total victories in WW1 is recorded as being 80 (while fighting in air combat) but before he went into air combat he fought with the Uhlans....its not recorded how many people were killed by him during those times.
This is awsome. Thank you for sharing. I love the Royal Guardsmen. I have looked all over for their records, but to no avail. Thank you for utubing it.
