Vandenburg is a better passer than Stanzi. A pick prone QB like Stanzi would have made the situation worse. Iowa had nothing all day on the ground, Wegher wouldn't have helped.

@mrgz4u no we were missing robinson for weeks before besides vandenburg that was his first start and there were multiple throws were recivers were wide open for big yards but they werent use too his spiral on the ball so they never could really get a good feel for catcing

You didn't even watch the game did you? Robinson played and Vandenberg throws a FARRRRRRRRRRRRR more catchable bar than Stanzi does and if they aren't ready to catch the ball they aren't good receivers anyway. A week is more than enough time to get used to it and it doesn't matter if it was his first START after the Northwestern game incident he should have been ready.
