youre review is inaccurate, the price for the Road ID is on the money. You failed to mention that the price includes an unlimited amount of information that can be stored on an interactive profile. A first responder and or ER doctor can access all your vital information should you be unable to communicate, ie knocked the f out. This alone makes the Road ID far better then a 5 line piece of metal, which is limited to nothing more then a phone number. Road ID goes beyond what is on your tag!

You are correct that you can get more with a Road ID, but at twice the price plus an additional $10 annually for their "Interactive" service (1st year is free). To gain access to your "vital information" the first responder has to login in to Road ID's site or call a number ...so what's the difference if they call your loved one for your vital info. This is just overpriced yuppie jewelry.
@deltagearinc I still disagree, there is no guarantee that a loved one will eve be available to pick up the phone, and there is no way they would know all your info off the top of your head. For $10 extra you get piece of mind. There is nothing yuppie about that. Yuppie would be a gold dog tag, we both agree on that
A free alternative is to write down your name, blood type, emergency contact on a post-it and stuff it in your saddle bag. This is great if you are just cycling, but dog tags are the way to go if you are transitioning from skydiving, to swimming, to cycling, to running or biathlon, to MMA fighting.
Have you heard about the swedish product called ICE Taggisar? You use your smartphone to store and read the information in your tag.
