Well the government is killing seals, not the country. Most Canadians think it's stupid, except for the indigenous peoples up north and people in the business of seal killing. But they're definitely feeling the impact of these protests around the world. It's surprising how many people don't even know about this, especially in Canada.
this is typical ! mainlanders who get everything from a grocery store blissfully unaware of where there food comes from criticizing people for living closer to nature they don't know that the seals have exhausted there own food supplys and eat garbage .ALSO white coat seals are not hunted they are a differint species ,and baby seals arnt killed either usually the adults with more meat .

Congrats PETA (and other animal activist groups) you've single handedly destroyed the Canadian artic environment. The seals only predator was the Polar bear; and as we all know their numbers are shrinking. Now that seal products from the hunt have been banned outside Canada the seal hunt will almost completely end. Without Man keeping the seals population in check, they will over populate and eat more and more fish in already over fished waters. Give yourself a round of applause.
a.) The fact is the waters are overfished and killing seals keeps the predator population in check, even if it weren't the seals population is way to high.
b.) that's why i said "PETA (and other animal activist groups)" way to do the most basic reading.
c.) Sour grapes? For what? I'm not canadain, it's not my economy your destroying. i dont even use anything made from these seals. i'm just pointing out that you are wrong.
