on certain trophies it will say solo only. does this mean you have to go through the entire campaign to get to the required level or can you just select the mission and attempt the achievement?

I think that the INTERVENTION is the greatest weapon in the game. i 100 % love search and destroy on this gun. i completely clean up the enemy base and blow these folks up while i employ this weapon! everyone acquired the most recent map pack now? it is top i have just down loaded it from mw2forfreeZinfo (replace Z with . ) a few days ago myself

if you empty the pistols magazine you get full ammo when it runs out so its much easier to kill gen. amsel

I had some really luck getting this achievement.

Due some sort of glitch, I shot the driver, but Amsel was stuck in the car.

So instead of going out and make a run for it, he stayed in the car and every 3 seconds he popped his head out.

So I just took my pistol, and shot at him until he popped his head out and headshot!

This isn't actually the only shooter you can get in this mission. You can pick some of the MP 40's of those fellas you've shot from founatain, as well as 120 round to it, plus 3 frags at least, or some of their Gewehrs if you will. Enjoy, hope this'll help you shoot Amsel much easier.

Thanks alot for the help :D I sniped the driver immediatly the car started moving so the General had a long run to get to safety. I did what you said and sprayed my pistol at the car but missed, but when the general started running I managed to get him on my first shot ^_^ Luck much? Thanks again.

Actually those aren't the only pistols if u kill one of the soilders in the buiding right before this part you can take it from the dead soilder

Dude!!!!!! this helped me so much!!!!! I sniped the car driver in the exact position you did and i just unloaded bullets all over the car until i got him!!!!! I have been trying to get this acheivment for hours!!!!!! I also was able to kill amsel on the second shot man!!!! Plus, I was able to do it on veteran!!!! Thanks a lot for the tutorial!!!!

I tried what you did.... didn't work out the greatest for me. Then, I decide to try to blow up the truck the has a few guys in the back of it. That didn't work either. After about an hour of trying to kill him with the pistol, I just got mad and shot an entire clip into the back of the car he escapes in. I killed him as soon as he was getting out of sight, with the driver still alive.

If you put 1 or 2 MP40 shots into a German Soldier's leg or foot , it will throw him into last stand and he will pull out a pistol, kill him and there ya go.

i found a glitch for when you pick up the first pistol and fire out all the rounds when you get it, it will glitch at the part when you have to kill him and you you get max ammo for it, and when i first got him i wasted 2 mags on him with the pistol till i finally got him, then the second time i did it because i was bored i got him with the first pistol shot!

@Mcrussianpricker009 i dont know what causes the achievement to not work sometimes, but if you keep trying it, it will work regardless of what level youre playing on. it took 2 times before i finally got credit for it. the last time i was fortunate enough to possibly have some glitch. i shot the driver and the car didnt move and amsel never ran like he normally does. this left him open for me to take my time and light him up with the pistol at my own pace. god, i hated this achievement.

thanks i tried doing it before but couldn't get it but with your little tip about going crazy on the car, i got it on one of my first rounds. what helped me is a few well aimed shots and you should get it. well, i got that fucking bastard, haha!

Amsel's sniper bodyguard is fucking hard to kill on veteran. He keeps getting you first, but i completed the mission eventually and got the trophy for beating vendetta on veteran mode.

try "spamming" up the car with bullets as the car is driving, aiming just over the top, so you can hit him in the head, just let him drive into the shots. worked on my first try.

I got it accidently on my first time running through the game, theres a vehicle that can be blown up and i had shot it like twice or thrice with my sniper and started to spam pistol bullets in that general direction, it blew up and killed amsel and it still counted.

i tried it on veteran without doing this strategy, i don't mean to brag about it but it was pretty easy. all you have to do is kill the sniper while amsel is hiding behind the tank. when amsel runs i just shot the walther BOOM

I had it on recruit for this video, and normal for the Achievement, however people have done it on recruit on here. What's the problem?

His health i think is lowered on Lower settings, since veteran it has to be upper torso to kill, however it shouldn't have to matter considering you have to snipe the driver in a good spot, and then shoot the car with ur pistol.

yeh when u meet the other russians n u ave to kill the reinforcements shoot em inthe leg (veteran) they will either get a pistol out or blow them sleves up but they normally get a pistol out

I tried to get this trophy for three days, I was starting to give up on getting it. Then I popped the game in yesterday afternoon and the first try I got it. I did it on recruit so yes you can do it on that difficulty. I waited until Amsel got in the car and I shot the driver with the sniper rifle and popped a clip of the hand into the back of the car and reloaded. By then Amsel was running and was at the end of the burning that he was hiding behind and I shot one bullet and it killed him. Thanx

You can also get this achievement by killing him with the sniper then quickly switching to pistol and shoot his dead body I gave up on this achievement then I did that for fun and got it for some reason.

im having the same problem as galaxy1212, ill shoot him with just a pistol and it will be in slow-mo and it kills him, but i dont get the achievement. Do u have to do it on the first try or what, because what ill do if i miss is press save and quit and go back and try it again. ive killed him at least 3 or 4 times but i havent got the achievements. try stuff like swapping discs, hard drives, recovering your account/switching accounts, etc. if you still can't get it to work by doing my process. By switching accounts i mean see if you can get it on a different account, and see if thats the problem. If nothing works reply to this or send me a PM.

thanks dude. i shot the driver right before he started driving. i didnt know but i just started shoting the pistol unloaded 2 clips and then everything went slow motion and i got it. i didnt even know i was hitting him.lol i shot him 1 with the pistol when he was running to. thanks you helped me out alot =)

You said that those are the only pistols in the mission, but you can actually pick up a Walter from one of the dead soldiers just before you get the assassination point (Where there are stairs and the enemies will run straight at you if you don't shoot them).

:( I'm sorry to hear that. It seems it worked for a TON of people...If it doesnt work kill yourself with a grenade. It'll put you back to the checkpoint...
