@ph02201:50 is Rudolf Nureyev, the ballerina. 5:38--not sure who you mean, but the three around that mark are: Liza Minnelli, George Burns, and Loretta Swit (of M*A*S*H).
not half .. but certainly some of the primary people.. and for people like Jim and especially Richard.. it was untimely which hurts th emost.. they both had so much more to give.
i know The Jim Henson Hour does a whole show on their monsters although i think that was mostly the later creature stuff from Storyteller, labrynth, etc.
and if you're into that you can always see behind the scenes from dark crystal
I thought Jim Henson's quote was JUST GO ON WITH THE SHOW!
BUT! Look, the show isnt going on! That means they are not doing what Jim Henson asked for! If i were the guys who owned the muppets now, I would keet the show on the road!
Agreed... even compare the 30th anniversary of the muppets to the 50th. 30th anniversary was a grand event and the 50th was a release of some DVD's... lame...
the least they can do is take another crack at Muppets Tonight
yes and i can't belive that jason segel is on board.. if you've ever read the interviews with him about it, it's clear that this guy knows what it takes to get the muppets back to where there were (and that is in short, actors as opposed to novelty acts)
well it's just my opinion obviously.. i saw some youtube interviews and he's only a year or two older then me so i can relate to the lingering passion for the muppets from childhood.
ofcourse you've had to have seen the dracula musical at the end of Forgetting Sarah Marshal.
The ballet pig was TOO much. I see a predecessor for "Muppet Treasure Island" ;).
Honestly, thank you very much for uploading this. I never really gotten "in" to Muppets (probably cause I didn't really watch it in my childhood). But watching this really made me appreciate more about Jim Henson, the people who worked on the show, and the whole muppet "culture". THANKS!!
Jim Henson was a bona-fide legend, and a true genious. I'm glad you discovered the wonderous magic that was the Muppet Show, as I did so many years ago.
you are not a true celebrity until you've worked with the muppets

the song at the end always reminds me of the 30th anniversary special. ofcourse then i realize they'll never do things like that again, and it's sad.

John Cleese is a riot. Brian Henson said that Cleese actually was involved in writing the episode where he would guest star.

While I'm sure there are people who would disagree with you on that, my opinion is wavered until I see it.
Judging by the nuber of comments and corrections you must really like the Muppets and/or Jim Henson's work in general.
