I believe it's a part of the Japanese culture to put emphasis on the name of the family before the name of the individual, but I'm not too sure on that.
@TheSuicidalDragon Actually, you're quite right about that. It's to identify bloodline first and foremost, and then to distinguish the individual from the bloodline in a secondary nature. It ties in with Shintoism and is related to the belief that your family's spirits are your guiding force in life. It's sort of a polytheist nature, but instead of gods, it's ancestors.
@ElChanateRifa It's his self confidence, arrogance and long legs. Or the fact that he went to Art School and is a very good painter. There's a lot about him that makes him possibly sexier than Tanahashi.
which match was it where he delivered the super landslide? and has he ever done it in another match? anybody? 'cause the super landslide is super badass!
A Powerslam would have Nakamura turning with his opponent. A Reverse Powerslam would also involve the victim simply being spun toward his feet rather than his head, and would land on his back.
Now we just need someone to save the IWGP tag titles. Like tehdouble underhook Piledriver. What the technical term frot eh Landslide. And That Bome Ya must have hurt. I can actual imagine the crowd call for it . BOME YA! BOME YA!
Ok, so what makes the avalanche worse than the standard landslide? I think that's the first time i've ever seen an avalanche version marked as the weaker version
Honestly, I remain somewhat unimpressed by his power moves (especially the Landslide). His strikes and submission (outside of that particular lariat, anyways) are and have always been top notch.
Um excuse me that is not a power slam it is a scoop slam thank you very much

@TheSuicidalDragon thank you Mr Dragon. so nice of you to always reply to your fans comments! It makes it very hard not to like you!

When was the last time he finished an opponent off with the Landslide? Anyways, the Boma Ye will kill you!
Mistertbones 1 year ago
@Mistertbones I was wondering the same thing. When was the last time he did the landslide?
mushdog 1 year ago
I was expecting him to win this year's G1 Climax. Too bad, Kojima got in the way. At least, we got a great match from him and Shiozaki.

I love his Landslide. It's my favourite finishing move in the hole world!

boma ye is my new favourite strike
I always thought the landslide was a little weak as a finisher though. it should be more head droppy

I love nakamura's style, has he worked heel the majority of his career? His leather lace up pants were always pretty bad-ass looking to me
bigoshowtime1 2 years ago
He's only worked full blown heel for the last nine months or so.
TheSuicidalDragon 2 years ago
That wasn't an "Inverted Exploder". The announcer nearly always calls it a "Reverse Powerslam".

A Powerslam would have Nakamura turning with his opponent. A Reverse Powerslam would also involve the victim simply being spun toward his feet rather than his head, and would land on his back.
TheSuicidalDragon 2 years ago
I know but they keep calling it a "Reverse Powerslam". And to be fair it is because it pancakes them on the front rather than back.
theredraven 2 years ago
A Reverse Powerslam would drop the victim on his back.

does nakamura still use the shining triangle?

Nope :(

i loved the two combo move for one shinning triangle i like that one the most.

I like how he does the Avalanche Landslide facing away from the ring and not the other way around like other guys do.
Although I think the regular Landslide doesn't have enough impact to be taken seriously as a finish.

Great wrestler, unfortunately he doesn't receive the support of the crowd (in my opinion)

The Landslide is a Samoan Driver, although it's really more of a slam than a driver these days.

LOL @ Boma Ye. I believe he took the name from the Ali-Foreman fight, when they said ALI! BOMA YE! (ALI! KILL HIM)
