i like this design much more than the revamped ones, ive seen a case that puts the buttons on the outside of the shell so you dont need special headphones so come on apple integrate the case and re do this one its the best!
I've been looking for shopping one of these mp3 players that have a wheel on the side to shuffle, like on those they used to sell everywhere in shops before, do you know if they still exist?...
if the headphones are uncomfortable, switch them around. I know it sounds dumb but I can't wear them the right way. However, if I put the left bud in the right ear and right bud in the left ear. It is much more comfortable.

He forgot to mention something. The iPod shuffle voice over has two different voices depending on what computer you sync it with. If you have a mac you get a fairly intelligible voice. If you have a PC you get a voice that sounds like someone is trying to play trumpet with their asshole. Why they did this? Nobody knows.

2- I hate Apple's earphones, with my 2nd Generation Shuffle, I can use my favorate earphones which easily fit in my ears, not keep slipping out.

Meh, there IS such a thing as too small and there also IS such a thing as UNCOMFORTABLE HEADPHONES. (If the headphones are plastic with no ear buds, then the quality of the music is most likely crap.)

think about it. your ipod is just about useless if u lose ur headphones. u will probably lose this in a week and this costs 80 dollars! apples making it so complexwith all the pressing and holding of the headphones. apple could have put small buttins on this. not a scroll wheel but just buttons in a straight line. this is for people with very little songs, that they dont need a screen but just want to listen to their music. and anyone with over 50 songs should buy a classic or a nano.
I think its awesome, people, don't be afraid of small sized electronics, just get used to them. I like to use my i-pod while working out, and this is just the solution I've been looking for, just carefully select your playlist and voila! I think it's cool, maybe not for everyone...

People keep saying they broke their headphones in a short period of time, and I used mine for at least a year without them breaking. I And what broke them was running it through the washer.
i know, even if third parties are making adapters, it just means that we are forking out more money on excess accessories for no reason besides using it for the new ipod shuffle. I rather just buy an MP3 player that is compatible with all previous earphones/headphones so that way i wouldn't have to pay more for headphones.

What's the point? The newer nanos are small enough, I think that every one in mac has a small penis and is trying to make things that are smaller better. It is not the size that matters, just how you use it. And the functionality of this thing seems pointless, you know how easy it is going to be to hit the wrong buttons on the headphones.
