but honestly as a pot smoker of 12 years now, i have ptsd as well...but ive never used pot as a mask for my issues. you cant rely on pot to ease your tensions. you need to rely on yourself to do that. pot is just supposed to help you calmly gain your composure and relax so you can gather yourself. not use it to mask your issues.

Marijuana is with no problems sold to anyone over 18 in my country and I have seen a lot of people smoking away their problems instead of solving them. Feelings are more intense if you smoke pot. This means it can make you feel great but also horrible. Not to mention it can cause psychosis if you are vulnerable to that. So I have doubts about treating psychological problems with pot.
But it is obvious that girl has a lot of benefit from it and many others. so just legalize it!!

@milionarii Stop smoking it. You're suffering from a condition called Substance Induced Anxiety Disorder. It usually happens to Cocaine or Amphetamine addicts, but Marijuana can cause it also. Basically, it's a drug induced Panic Attack. There is no way to treat it or cure it other than to stop using the drug that is causing it. I know all about it because I have it to. I have been to a therapist about it. Nothing they can do. Marijuana just doesn't mix with my brain chemistry.
@milionarii Not the same thing. You're comparing two very different types of effects. I can drink and smoke weed. If I drink enough, I will not get panicky at all. But when I smoke weed by itself, never fails, I get panicky. If you don't believe me, then find a therapist and tell them exactly what is happening. Everyone is different, but this sounds exactly like what I've experienced... especially now that you say that you've been mixing drugs. Go ask a therapist. Get a professional opinion.

Drugs in general are good for stuttering. I've stuttered since I learned to talk, then when I found alcohol as a teenager it magically went away. So I drank a lot for a few years but then all of a sudden it did'nt have any effect on the stuttering anymore. Like my body was used to it or something. I dont know, stuttering can take soo many forms and is very differnet from person to person. Dont think you can say that CB is a universal cure for it. But it would be fun if they did some tests.

I have such mixed opinions regarding any legal use of pot. I have not yet come to a verdict based on the topic, but the video was subjective in a sense that it showed how pot can suppress flaws found in disorders like cerebral palsy, explaining to me that legalization of pot should continue it's nationwide campaign.

You're lucky to be able to smoke it while mixing it with alcohol, I can be drunk as a skunk and can even stand around a smoker while he smokes without getting that panicky sensation, but like you said everybody is different. I can tell you that without doing any research, he also underwent/undergoes therapy to handle his stress. You should smoke some pot because think you're prompting verdicts too quickly; allowing literalism and quick-thinking irrational thought get the better of you.

Drugs in general are good for stuttering. I've stuttered since I learned to talk, then when I found alcohol as a teenager it magically went away. So I drank a lot for a few years but then all of a sudden it did'nt have any effect on the stuttering anymore. Like my body was used to it or something. I dont know, stuttering can take soo many forms and is very differnet from person to person. Dont think you can say that CB is a universal cure for it. But it would be fun if they did some tests.

Marijuana works miracles for this woman whereas the "cure" you found might not. There's also nothing to say that marijuana wouldn't work miracles for the people in your referenced video. You might want to broaden your education on the matter before you snark and shout "hooray" about some "cure" you found on youtube.

It's not the usage of marijuana that makes it illegal; it is the process in obtaining it, because these drugs have evolved into relations with violence, theft, murders, and more. Also, the illegalization actually causes more of these cases to emerge. It is something that we cannot stop; just by chance, these things happened to evolve, and with that comes the legitimate reason for illegalization.

The government is not willing to wait for the gangs and cartels to dissapear, and it will remain that way, regardless of reason or not. At least in Canada anyways. I am quite aware that marijuana was banned for political reasons, but realistically, even if it were to be legalized, it would be sold only to the ones who need it as a temporary cure (like the lady above), and still prohibited to anyone else. Above is the reality, justifiable or not.

You might not reckon that there's enough sane, decent people in America to legalise cannabis for recreational use, but if I'd told you 10 years ago that LA would soon be covered in hundreds of legal cannabis dispensaries you'd have thought I was crazy. A lot seems impossible but when decent, determined people get together they really can push the boundaries of what we previously assumed to be beyond us.

@ruhtraeel 1) It's both, and medicinal value isn't just for people with diagnosable problems, since we ALL suffer from stress, anxiety and anger at some level, which cannabis relieves with or without a prescription.
2) It's really not. I mean, people said similar about medicinal just a few years ago. There's a vote in november to legalise cannabis in the state of Cali: if it passes, America's "domino effect" theory might actually come true with regards to legalisation in the USA. Could happen!

I have such mixed opinions regarding any legal use of pot. I have not yet come to a verdict based on the topic, but the video was subjective in a sense that it showed how pot can suppress flaws found in disorders like cerebral palsy, explaining to me that legalization of pot should continue it's nationwide campaign.
Man, seeing Miss Patterson in such a condition really brakes my heart. I think she is a prime example for legalizing pot. She also deserves a big hug for being a wonderful mother!

It's great these people have found something so simple to use to combat their illnesses. Too bad I live in a complex where prohibition is continued to be supported from. Mothers buying pot from whatever strangers over buying their kids decent shoes to go to school in. If we could somehow wipe out the bad culture and irresponsibility around it, I have no doubt medicinal marijuana will be legalized and many people will be able to live comfortably with their diseases and illness.
