(Statutes/ Act) Act's are only given the force of Law by the Consented !...Ps, We are ruled by consent, otherwise we'd be living under a Dictatorship (tyranny)...Common Law Jurisdiction is the Law in UK (fact), and not this Admiralty Law / Maritime Law (Statutes/ Act /Codes/Rules)...Your thoughts please goodbyee007?...

You could consider the role now of the UK Supreme Court and compare it with the House of Lords - has there been a change with this new court being more of a policy making body than a cout of appeal?

hey the english legal system by Jacqueline Martin is good no doubt however the this book by David Kelly and Gary Slapper is more in depth with more information and is very useful for first year law students. The book by Jacqueline Martin is frequently used and read by A-Level students who are taking law as a subject.Hope this helps :)

Thank you for the information.... i was wondering if the English Legal System by Jaqueline Martin is any good. I was thinking of buying her book since looking at the reviews and ratings.
