the traveler ships are weak compared to ancient wraith and other human ships, but to these smaller asgard ones it seems the emp based weaponry really paid off.
asgard or ancient ship as it wasnt made clear which race the ship belonged to. But even then a travellers ship seems hardly able to damage an ancient or asgard ship but some how they manage to destroy them. Anyone else baffled by this. Either way its sad that atlantis wont air a sixth season so even though the asgard came back it seems as if they are trying to finish off the asgard no matter what. I mean in that episode im not sure any of those asgard ships survived.
I was kinda disappointed with the asgard ships. They looked really powerful in the last episode, but here, they got their asses handed to them by a single traveler ship...
My theory is that they are tranpsort ships of some kind...Vanir (Lost Tribe Asgards new official name) technolgy is only 10,000 years behind the Asgard so their bigger more powerful ships from before they were attacked should be able to clobber the Travelers;)
the leader of the lost tribe told daniel they lost all their powerful ships when the wraith first attacked them
they were also probably figuring out the degradation problem rather than making better ships.

The Travelers shields are drone resistant;) Their weapons are quite powerful considering how the blew Janus's lab to bits in a hanful of shots;)
