I was thirty-three when this came out but I never heard it until I was fifty-eight. I love the modulation about two thirds of the way in. It sends me! Really hypnotic. If I knew where to reach this artist, I'd send him a fan letter.
Its like I can literally/mentally put myself on the dance floor as this song is playing. Great dance tune as well as one of those teenage/young adult crush songs ever! I miss that decade. Thank God I was at the perfect age.
This is actually the original mix from 1983, not 1985 - Kiss Me was released in 198 on Sire - then it was re-released two yrs later on a diferent label remixed by JJ Jezliak (sp) from Art of Noise - the 85 mix was a bigger hit, but true fans love/prefer the '83 mix. (Actually, his best song is from '83 also - Hold It...underrated Tin Tin classic)
When I was in my 20s, I heard this all the time in Tijuana. Songs caught on there that weren't exactly hits stateside. Weird. But I always liked this song & was glad to hear it!
This was definitely the best remix of this song...only slightly different from the others but still better. As for music nowadays, there is a ton of great music now and the public has more access to all of it. You might not hear it on top 40 radio but then again you wouldn't have heard TinTin on top 40 radio either.
AMAZINGLY produced song. I found this on the New Wave workout playlist on iTunes.... for the past year or so I've been listening to '80s music because I can't stand pop music nowadays :(
Like metaltatts, I remember this from Derby in 1985. You would hear it several times a night in different pubs and clubs. It was the Midlands and north of England that made it a national hit (eventually) in the UK
This is the mix I always remember - played every week at Confetti's in Derby! They had a massive green laser which they always used during this flying around the dancefloor! Happy days! :-)
Kiss Me, Kiss Me, Kiss, Me....I danced to this song at the Club of Osteria, Orsini Romana every weekend in 1985....Loved It...Brings back Disco Memories.....Adiamo....Ciao
My wife still has this in pristine condition, It cost her over £7 back in 1984 from a shop in Edgware called Loppy Lugs ... Chist! you could buy an LP for £4.79 in Woolies. Happy days!
Takes me right back to the Riverside Club in Exeter when I was Friday night DJ there in 85. The Saturday DJ Colin Leslie introduced me to it and it was never off the turnatable after that once i had managed to find this elusive mix! Superb memories
This was one of my all time favorite songs to dance to back in the 80's. I miss going to the Palace in Hollywood for Richard Blades KROQ night.. music just isn't the same these days :(
fantastic record, and like the single i bought in 1984 from birmingham hmv
and looking at wiki, it says a rerecorded version was released in West Midlands only!, then to me the poorer version a few months later....why was that when the dance version i have is much superior and sounds like this.
will have to look for the single and what label it has (sire or wea)
It's like opening the fridge and finding a beer you had totally forgotten about...then you open it and enjoy it all over again...great memories to this song in some of the best times in my life while in the club scene....thanks for long lost memories!
This IS without doubt the best mix. Used to fill the dancefloor. Still love it, I used to own the 12inch, aaah it got lost in time... wish I'd held on to it. Fantastic.
I remember the first time I heard this song in a night club, and thinking it was the most magical thing I had ever heard. Real Northern dance. Fantastic!!
Does anybody have the original video, the one with this mix as the soundtrack? It's the one where he's in bed, alone, singing this song, as my memory serves me.
I have this version on vinyl. Im glad I bought it when my friend told me to buy it. Jhaney, good choice to play as a dj and I danced my feet off to this version:)
i was a dj in asbury park new jersey and played the crap out of this mix and it always jamed the dance floor tin tin rocks and i still play this song on my radio show

Yeah, he made a mint on this song and its various remixes -- but spent it all in the legal court cases about his use of the name "Tin Tin" (the famous Belgian comic-book about the globe-trotting boy reporter). Zero sum, too bad.
top 1980s song !
