  • top 1980s song !

  • I got this version on vinyl, I am thinking of recording it and uploading it

  • I was thirty-three when this came out but I never heard it until I was fifty-eight. I love the modulation about two thirds of the way in. It sends me! Really hypnotic. If I knew where to reach this artist, I'd send him a fan letter.

  • @jasonjoy It doesnt matter what age you are! When the music makes you shimmey and shake it, you cannot deny your animal instinct!

  • Me acabava de dançar na HOMO SAPIENS em 1982!!!!

  • Its like I can literally/mentally put myself on the dance floor as this song is playing. Great dance tune as well as one of those teenage/young adult crush songs ever! I miss that decade. Thank God I was at the perfect age.

  • This is the "good" version.

  • This is actually the original mix from 1983, not 1985 - Kiss Me was released in 198 on Sire - then it was re-released two yrs later on a diferent label remixed by JJ Jezliak (sp) from Art of Noise - the 85 mix was a bigger hit, but true fans love/prefer the '83 mix. (Actually, his best song is from '83 also - Hold It...underrated Tin Tin classic)

  • Can ANYONE tell me how I can get this version digitally? iTunes has the shorter version. :(

  • @RainPoetry its on ministry of sound electronic 80's

  • saw Tin Tin live @ Snobs night club, birmingham uk back in the 80's. great live

  • i work up such a sweat on the dance floor to this song. gets me going every time and i must say, it's better than sex!

  • @skouf007 I have to agree with you!! I love this song till today!

  • @skouf007 the song is good and all, but comon...better than sex? Sexual intercourse with another person??? man u need to have better sex

  • @skouf007 What about Sex and Coke, would it be better than those 2?

  • @sj0bs1 How about both sex & coke while listening to music like this?

  • When I was in my 20s, I heard this all the time in Tijuana. Songs caught on there that weren't exactly hits stateside. Weird. But I always liked this song & was glad to hear it!

  • @GlorifiedTruth 91X in San Diego used to play this in the '80s too!

  • looooyv -it.... Ty!

  • Stephen Duffy, you are the best kept secret of the 80s. But thank God for Youtube. This song is my youth.

  • Marylin's new wave teen Club in Pasadena Ca. in the 80's was when I first heard this song.

  • Now found this mix on 12" 80s Electropop compilation! Fantastic!

  • Danny this was our favorite song to dance to at the Circle hope you and you little bro are well.

  • Fellow Alum Rocker from Birmingham xx

  • This was definitely the best remix of this song...only slightly different from the others but still better. As for music nowadays, there is a ton of great music now and the public has more access to all of it. You might not hear it on top 40 radio but then again you wouldn't have heard TinTin on top 40 radio either.

  • sooooooooooooo classic

the 1st 1/2 of chorus directly taken from Song of Songs, 1:2, written by King Solomon

  • Pure classic 80's Dance magic !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! cool post carlosmiller

  • PURE SEX >> PURE DANCE>> PURE 80's

  • AMAZINGLY produced song. I found this on the New Wave workout playlist on iTunes.... for the past year or so I've been listening to '80s music because I can't stand pop music nowadays :(

  • I love u .......the One and Only! ♥

  • The One and Only Love of my life....This diddy recreates that moment in time for me.......oh so sweet ♥

  • The first time I was really in love with the one. Man this diddy just recreates it all...love u baby! ♥

  • Man...great version of the song...we all loved and rolled to! Everyone loved rolling to this sond! Rolling or scoobies...u know what we did.

Makes we want to grab a girl, dance and kiss her madly.

    Thanks!

  • A cherished good we keep to ourselves. Howabout.

  • thanks for your great info--DD is my fave, and this is a great song--I can see the resonance. LOVE IT. WHERE IS THE MUSIC LIKE THAT ERA

  • got that 12 inch, white cover, signed " lots of love to Phill, Steven", met him in Birmingham, when the original came out

  • Aw man, I'm such an idiot. I have this version on a CD compilation somewhere, and I've been digging for days, can't find it!

  • Like metaltatts, I remember this from Derby in 1985. You would hear it several times a night in different pubs and clubs. It was the Midlands and north of England that made it a national hit (eventually) in the UK

  • Very favorite song of all time. Doesn't get any better than this.

  • LoL Richards Blade Kroq night....I would go to the palace all the time too, man i miss those times...good ol times.

  • remember this son, it's my favorite!!

  • This is the mix I always remember - played every week at Confetti's in Derby! They had a massive green laser which they always used during this flying around the dancefloor! Happy days! :-)

  • Man...not often there's a time to say this, but the US version was the best mix. SWEET song!

  • I have this 12'

  • Kiss Me, Kiss Me, Kiss, Me....I danced to this song at the Club of Osteria, Orsini Romana every weekend in 1985....Loved It...Brings back Disco Memories.....Adiamo....Ciao

  • My wife still has this in pristine condition, It cost her over £7 back in 1984 from a shop in Edgware called Loppy Lugs ... Chist! you could buy an LP for £4.79 in Woolies. Happy days!

  • Takes me right back to the Riverside Club in Exeter when I was Friday night DJ there in 85. The Saturday DJ Colin Leslie introduced me to it and it was never off the turnatable after that once i had managed to find this elusive mix! Superb memories

  • How can you not like this song.. New Wave is the best music out there..

  • great song, takes me back to a girl i knew back in the day, thanks for the memory

  • I have this version on 12". Yes, I kept all my vinyl! The very best version!!

  • This was one of my all time favorite songs to dance to back in the 80's. I miss going to the Palace in Hollywood for Richard Blades KROQ night.. music just isn't the same these days :(

  • @Tempest192 so true what you wrote about music these days!!!!

  • @Tempest192 Yup, btw - you know Richard still spins at clubs?

  • @Tempest192 Palace! Wow! I forgot about those day. I remember the dancing laser show and hanging out on the upper level.

  • I just started my party years in 1982 and this song was one of few key songs that just purely moved me!

  • It brings back happy memories of working as a barman in the The Duck on Hagley Road in Brum 1983

  • hi

fantastic record, and like the single i bought in 1984 from birmingham hmv

and looking at wiki, it says a rerecorded version was released in West Midlands only!, then to me the poorer version a few months later....why was that when the dance version i have is much superior and sounds like this.

will have to look for the single and what label it has (sire or wea)

    steve

  • I still have this on vinyl, the snare drum jacket.

  • The first time I heard this beautiful song was at the Odyssey in LA-takes me back everytime I hear it!

  • I still have this 12 inch on vinyl. It was actually free when you bought Tin Tin's 'Hold It'. I remember it well - Summer 1983!!!

  • It's like opening the fridge and finding a beer you had totally forgotten about...then you open it and enjoy it all over again...great memories to this song in some of the best times in my life while in the club scene....thanks for long lost memories!

  • omg brings back good memories does this..lol x

  • The original is more plain, check on your tube, this is the US remix done after the original was released..............xoxo

  • This IS without doubt the best mix. Used to fill the dancefloor. Still love it, I used to own the 12inch, aaah it got lost in time... wish I'd held on to it. Fantastic.

  • Birmingham clubs like Faces, Peppermint Place, Maximillians, Scandals in Solihull, great memories great times.

  • I remember the first time I heard this song in a night club, and thinking it was the most magical thing I had ever heard. Real Northern dance. Fantastic!!

  • WOW I love this mix, it's just the best xXx

  • This is a wonderful remix for sure............

  • FANTASTIC xXx

  • Does anybody have the original video, the one with this mix as the soundtrack? It's the one where he's in bed, alone, singing this song, as my memory serves me.

  • Just posted it! Search for: Stephen "Tin Tin" Duffy - KISS ME (original)

(not able to post the url)

  • Searched by pasting that and nothing of this length came up. Only shorter versions.

  • For me, this is the one and only version of this song. The intro is simply the best one. Love it. I FINALLY found it. Thank you!

  • Was this song played in BATMAN?!

    With the Joker's floating Ballon?

  • @missburn101 The telecom act of 96 allowed for massisve media consolidation, that and the death of Curt Cobain, and now the corps don't want to invest in doped out protest rockers.

  • great new wave track. Takes me back to hot so cal new wave girls, cloves, and when K-ROQ was actually a "good" station! Not the case anymore.-ah the good ole' days.

  • This song is one of my top-ten favorites of all time. I for one am glad that Stephen split from Duran Duran.

  • The 80's were the best! Club 100 in Lubbock, Texas played all of the best tracks, including this one. Awesome!

  • Well shit in a bag and punch it..... A true blast from the past... QUALITY !!!!

  • No shit! This song brings back the best memories. KROQ. Jed the Fish, dancing, and girls. Not in that order though!

  • Thanks for posting. Takes me back to San Francisco in

the mid eighties, listening to Steve Masters on Live-105

playing UK imports like this one. Great track, much

    better mix than the original.

  • you are welcome.......and yes i agree , this mix is much better than original.

  • Takes me back to the Nine of Clubs (a.k.a. Nine of Closets) in Cleveland, 1988-'91. Sweet track!

  • yes I still love this song!

  • Had forgotten about all the different versions of this song and now remember them all with fondness. Good job getting this back on YouTube, as just I watched one of the vids that WMG had altered and without the music and lyrics the song really suffers ;( Thanks, Brazil!

  • you are welcome, i had to dispute in order to post it!!....................let's see how long is gonna stay!

    cheers

  • How the fuck does this vid only have 303 views but that god-awful 1985 version has over 100,000??

Yes yes, I know this was only posted two months ago, but still.....

Anyway - thank you for this. Truly an under-rated 80s classic. Brilliant tune.

  • I had posted before and youtube took it out because WMG owned the audio content, but I went to dispute page and put it back..........don't know how long will stay...................and yes is a much better version than original and underated!!!

    take care

  • 4:24 Notice the famous mistake, he started singing in the same key when he in fact needed a different key, it was so funny they put it in the mix.

  • Yeah, he made a mint on this song and its various remixes -- but spent it all in the legal court cases about his use of the name "Tin Tin" (the famous Belgian comic-book about the globe-trotting boy reporter). Zero sum, too bad.

  • At last someone has posted the original 82 version! Thanks!! Far superior to the 85 version methinks....

  • i agree 100%

  • That is the understatement of the century.

  • it is so true!
