  • his real name is Farrokh Bulsara and he was referred to as the asian british rockstar of the century. Freddy was named by a national poll to be the 18th greatest rockstar in a rolling stone's vote. also...In 2006, Time Asia named him as one of the most influential Asian heroes of the past 60 year. He was influenced by the rolling stones, elvis, the who, aretha franklin and many others.

  • ___ He ultimately earned a Diploma in Art and Graphic Design at Ealing Art College, later using these skills to design the Queen crest. Mercury remained a British citizen for the rest of his life.

  • At the age of 17, Mercury and his family fled from Zanzibar for safety reasons due to the 1964 Zanzibar Revolution. The family moved into a small house in Feltham, Middlesex, England. Mercury enrolled at Isleworth Polytechnic (now West Thames College) in West London where he studied art___

  • __Indian-Zoroastrian communities. Mercury was born on the island of Zanzibar, off the coast of Tanzania. His parents, Bomi and Jer Bulsara . As Parsis, Freddie and his family practiced the Zoroastrian religion. The Bulsara family had moved to Zanzibar in order for his father to continue his job as a cashier at the British Colonial Office. He had one younger sister, Kashmira.

  • Freddie's mama & papa were "Parsi" (or Parsee, as you prefer), Parsee is a member of the larger of the two Zoroastrian communities of the Indian subcontinent. According to tradition, the present-day Parsis descend from a group of Iranian Zoroastrians who emigrated to Western India over 1,000 years ago due to persecution by the majority Muslims. The long presence in the region distinguishes the Parsis from the Iranis, who are more recent arrivals, and who represent the smaller of the two__

  • Wow, June 5th 1982. Milton keynes bowl, I was there - a spotty sixteen year old, next day I took my economics o-level, completely deaf. Sorry not that interesting to anyone else, but never seen any film footage before.

  • I seen Queen last month on the 4rh in Newcastle it was good, it was Paul Rogers who was singing, and he done a good job but he was no Freddie but the thing was he wasent trying to be and i thought it was good, oh, John Deacon wasent there either apparently hes retired

  • belli cazzuti...

    so rocks...

  • THIS SONG ROCKSSSSSSS!!!!!!!!!!

  • C'est extra !! Bravo QUEEN.J'adore ce groupe et Freddie est le meilleur.

  • I love this song - I don't care if it was just Queen taking the piss out of punk or not. It's fantastic.

  • whats doin' freddie in 2:31?

  • I wonder how Roger can sing that well keeping such a hard tempo! He's great, they're all great!!! Great performance

  • nicely put

  • Yeah, I also owonder, awesome!

  • Ladies and gents...this IS rock and what every performer wants to be and attain Freddie did without compromise. ROCK STAR --LEGEND---

  • man music this era fucking sucks this is music lol

  • I´d give you another thumbs up to make up for the two thumbs down, I guess not many people thought you meant today with "This Era" but you were picking on seventies Rock...

And I agree, todays music is not halfway that good as music used to be from lets say, 68 to 88... I don´t want any idiot whining in my ear about his personal depressions, I wanna Rock.

  • Why waste your time on bad music when we have all this? :)

Of course, we should have our eyes open for new things, but music like this will never be done again. And that's a fact.

The compositon of the band, their energy and creativity...

But the music still makes sence, and with the song 'say it's not true' (listen to it!) which was released last year gave us a little fresh update in the record-collection.

The past is a part of the present.

    God save the Queen.

  • hahahahahahahaahahahahaha xD

  • good god brian may and freddie are seriously rocking out queen kicks so much ass ppl keep queen alive!!!!!!and they will never die out

  • Man I love the energy Freddie puts into this song! Classic!!!

  • genial

  • lo mejooooooooooooooor!

    god save to the queen!

  • roger taylor is able to sing while playing drum in this way...incredible...

  • i love this song because im 17 and i love metal and hallows eve covered it and queen is awesomly metal and the singer looks like he should be in a black metal band and cause hes cool!

  • This is true Rock'N'Roll man !

  • brian may rules!

  • agree!

  • funny, but it`s just popmusic with the energy of a band like PanterA . . . that fucking energy . . Deacon John rules!

  • Deacon John? ...John Deacon

  • check out the credits on the first Queen album...

    Rock On!

  • No. The studio version of this song has the same "effect".

  • And, The studio version will throw you completely off in terms of trying to figure out where the downbeat comes in at the end of said "skip/effect".

  • by the way love this song Freddie rocks, Queen rocks XD!

  • LMAO omg one minute he was on the microphone stand and then he was snogging Brians guitar and on the cymbals XDDD

  • I know LOL - I think he almost bit Brian there for a minute! yeahhh Freddieee!!!

  • this song is the essence of Rock'n'Roll to me. Especially the studio version.

  • UNBELIEVABLE!!!

  • My God, that's why this concert is called ON FIRE....

    QUEEN the best band ever.

And about anniemihn's question: Roger is the drummer, and Freddie the lead vocalist, every member should be at his place. Roger is far better drummer than Freddie jaja, and of course Freddie is BY FAR better singer than Roger, but is funny listen to Roger singing songs like I'm In Love with My Car. Also, I can't imagine Roger doing those sexy movements like Freddie, the ultimate showman, does.

  • Roger wrote the song, why didn´t he sing it? I think he has the proper voice to do it. Anyway, a geat punky song!

  • I think it's because Freddie's voice fits this song much better than Roger's. And Roger's voice fits I'm in love with my car better.

  • Freddie and Roger is 2 of a kind!

I think Roger has the coolest voice. because it sounds like hes been drinking vodka and smokeing ALL his life.

But Freddie has the best voice

  • That's true, they both have unique voices. I love Roger Taylor's voice because of what you said, with the special sound.

But to me Freddie's voice was the most amazing voice a man ever had.

  • I mean we all know freddy can hold his own, but wen Roger sings with him theres just some a little more special about. U can hear the same effect in Teo Torriate when they were in japan for this tour, but snake u describe roger's voice perfectly

  • Freddie is absolutely mad!!! :-P

  • best band ever

  • Wow, he was really worked up here!I love the way he was sliding up and down the mic stand and that other sexy move he did on the cymbal! I'm kind of envious of those pieces of stage equipment now!

  • One word to describe this. AWESOME!!

  • im sorry but there are NOT enough words to discribe how Queen is... but awsome is a great word...

  • this is a fantastic concert you gotta listen to the somebody to love version of htis concert its incredible!

  • This concert is great ^___^

  • Wooh looks like Freddie was gettin it on wth that mic. Love how he knocks it over and he just leaves it there. And how John is so non-chelant through the ordeal.

  • Love Roger's Japanese shirt

  • what a performance!!!! full of energy!

  • SSSSSSSSSSHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHEEEEEEEEEEEEEEERRRRRRRRR HEART ATTACK!!!!

    SSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHEEEEEEEEEEEEEEERRRRRRR HEART ATTACK!!!!

    RRRRREEEEEAAAALLLL CARDIAC!!!

    I feel so in-a, in-a, in-a, in-articulate.

  • Sweet Mercury!! Yes!!!! Never a question about who's the best group EVER!!!!!

  • as a person who only knows queen a little bit and always thought they were a very respectable band, i must say the energy of this performance if f'n AWESOME.

  • FUCK YEAH!!!!!

  • Wow, they are quite some moves at around 2.15 and 2.48. Is it just me or did it get hot in here?

  • ecirpn07 I agree! HOTHOTHOT!!!!
