I use to think i wanted my period because i thought it would make me feel like a woman but is SUCKS U HAVE CRAMPS U FEEL LIKE YOU HAVE TO GO PEE ALL THE TIME AND YOU LEAK ALOT AND YOUR HIPS HURT YOUR FRONT HURTS YOU SMELL AND YOU HAVE TO TAKE SHOWERS OFTEN OR YOU REALLY SMELL YOU CANT GO SWIMMING SUCKS.

For your first period what type of overnight pad should you use? I know it probably will be light but it can get heavy, and go everywhere.

My first period was Jan 3 2012.

Im 13 all my friends had started theres in 5th or 6th grade and i hadnt so one of my 2012 wishes was to start it well 2 days later after i wished it it came true and it was horrible i thought i was dieing from how much blood there was when i sat on the toilet when i thought i had to use it so much that i was starting to cramp up around my stomach it happened Jan 3 2012

I havn't started and I have wanted to start sinse I was in 4th grade . . . I pray to God every hour almost asking him to give me my period by the end of every month and if a new month starts I still pray . My mom just got me regular pads yesterday even though I asked for liners because I could feel and smell the discharge and my panties were getting ruined . I still don't use tampons because they scare me, but I am going to have to suck it up cause I play sports and swim all the time in the summer. before I haven't swam during that time, but I miss it so much! Oh please don't pray to have a period!!!!!! It's terrible. It makes you act and feel terrible too. It's really gross to deal with. You should enjoy not having one for as long as you possibly can. @friesrgood77 I just got mine and I'm 14! Don't worry! I was praying for my period until seventh grade, when I just gave up. I had the signs for 3 years, and yesterday, out of the blue I got it! I was totally in shock because I never had a growth spurt and I'm only 5'1, so at least you don't have to worry about being a midget like me. You'll get it! Yeah for me, my first period was sooooooooooooooooo heavy! In 2 hours my pad would be full. I always had stains on my PJs at night. For night time I put two overnights to cover the entire panty area and even then I managed to get stains. But after 2-3 periods it became more regular and not scary heavy. My first period was the oposite of light

@preciousstone1234 Not all the time. It kind of does when the blood comes out, but not really. You will only feel it like every 20 minutes. If you are wearing a tampon though, you don't feel that at all! Just if you are wearing pads.
