i think all the guys are sporting some really excellent style in this video - Kelly looks great in his green shirt and aqua scarf and Jeff's blouse is practically unbuttoned to his navel (thank you very much) to reveal a gold " L" necklace - L for Lynne! how cool is that ?! I'm just surprised that for being such a hairy rock beast/god on top that he doesn't appear to have a single hair on his chest.

This kinda annoys me, I would happily believe that Roy Wood left ELO because it was just becoming the Jeff Lynne show, Jeff's output after that, no matter how successful, is pretty samey, listen to his wilbury and paul mcartney work for proof, he's a talented one trick pony. Roy's continued input could've helped him develop, together they were stronger, hence they both lost their way circa 1985.

@lechaise One trick pony, my a**! Lynne was the brains behind ELO. It would've been interesting to see what would've come of a continuing colaboration of Lynne and Wood. Maybe, another Lennon/McCartney. On the second thought, who would want seconds of that. ELO was superior to the Beatles. The only reason they weren't bigger was because the Beatles came first and after that bands like ELO were considered ripoffs. Sad really.

@donn409 Interesting thought, what that band might have been had Roy stuck around. I have read numerous interviews from JL pointing out that by the time Roy left in mid-72, a number of tracks for ELO II had been started, and the two of them were at each other's throats, and Roy volunteered to leave since he was better known in England as himself at the time; they wished to preserve their friendship.

this is one of the ONLY songs where i liked the original better than the cover... cus i usually like a more modern heavy rock sound to older songs (when covered). guess Ace Frehley couldnt deliver that to me lol if ANYBODY... i would have liked Aeosmith to cover it instead of Ace. Ace's still rocked tho... just not as good as ELO!
